Para mas maginhawa ang buhay nila and lalo silang yumaman, which is for me practical lang naman and it's a smart decision not to have too many kids. Di lang buhay ng parents ang comfortable pati na din mga anak nila. Mas napaghahandaan ang future nila. On the other way around, yung mga not-so-well off naman or shall I say hindi sapat ang kita or walang kinikita ang parents, sila ang mas madami ang anak kaya marami din sa kanila ang hindi nabibigyan ng magandang kinabukasan. Sorry, but that's a sad truth.

Hi po, I have PR visa for 5 years pero we plan to stay for around 1 week lang just to comply with the initial entry. Question is do I still need to do those things or pwede pagbalik na lang at permanent stay na talaga kami dyan?

@jjm primary and secondary school is free of charge... you just need to buy the uniforms, school kit (stationeries) and books.. around $200 per kid at the start of the year like now...february 2 ang pasukan ng most schools this year.. during the year meron pa rin bibilin na books or calculator sa school...

@LokiJr agree din ako jan... sa tingin ko lang ha.. sa mga wala pang anak or pamilya.. plan ahead, kayod lang ng kayod at ipon, be good citizens, obey rules..tapos gradually start your family.. kahit maraming anak, say lima, basta napagplanuhan walang problema kasi nga may matatag na govt na tutulong sa inyo. As you blend in it will be much easier that's what I learned sa mga na meet ko sa Oz.

Are there cheap places to stay in OZ when you arrive while looking for a place where you could actually rent long term?

Another essential item is probably to have a way to communicate within OZ. What is the reccomended initial SIM/plan to take so as to have a way to call through mobile phone?

I have read abut Telstra and Optus, would be glad to know other telcos who may offer better.

you could use prepaid sim muna pagdating mo sa oz.. I recommend Optus kase ok yung signal and it doesnt cost as much as Telstra..

Telstra > good signal, expensive charges
Vodaphone > cheap rates, bad signal
Optus > relatively good signal, average charges

once you subscribe for a plan, you can keep your prepaid number and transfer it as post paid.

Also, i know optus also has sim cards for overseas calls. cheaper ang rates. basta keep your PH sim for roaming para tipid yung family and friends mo pag nagtetext sayo.

mas maganda kung magagawa mo na yung 1-4.. pero ang problem mo is saan yung address mo. magpapadala kase sila ng letters containing your #1 TFN number #2 Medicare Card #3 Debit Card welcome kit #4 (di ko pa to nagagawa)

yung #3 maski hindi muna kase madali lang naman mag-open ng account dito sa oz..

yun lang, although efficient naman kase ang postal system dito and the processing of stuff.. you will receive those in 1-4 days.

tingin ko kelangan mo na magregister sa centrelink, not sure lang masyado kase diba may family ka? makakatulong ata sa inyo eto.. ako kase walang value sakin centrelink

Sagot po ba nila agad un medical expenses mo? How about yun sa Centrelink benefits? Diba po meron pa yata wait period.

@Bryann you'll get a Medicare card kung PR ka.. it covers check-up, hospitalizations pero di kasama dental.

for Centerlink benefits, you have to wait for 2 years pa.. kaya ako, i didn't bother to go there na

Ahhh ayun. Thanks. Kapareho din kaya dito ng healthcard sa company yun for example? Meron limit per year? For example, Php250k per illness/year. Ganun din po ba dyan? Tapos meron diseases na covered at meron hindi? Although matagal pa naman para sa akin yan stage na yan, nice to know na din.

haha! hindi uso dito na yung company ang nagpprovide ng health cover.

pero kung gusto mo kuha ka din ng private health insurance especially if you are earning more than 80k per year

Actually okay lang kung walang private health insurance kasi may medicare ka naman kapag migrant ka dito. Pero kung may health issue mas maganda mayrun.
