Sa Speaking ko at ng partner ko (he also got 9) para lang kaming nakikipagkwentuhan dun sa examiner. You kinda have to make it look like you're somewhat enjoying talking about the topic, because then you would appear more confident. I-build up niyo yan dun sa preliminary questions, pero wag naman sobra sobra to the point na mukhang FC kayo hehe. Yung tamang chika mode lang. Yun naman kase ang tinitignan nila eh, kung yung conversational speaking niyo is good enough. Yung sa akin hindi nga completely formal english eh, may mga "hmm" at "umm" rin ako. Naubusan kase ako ng sasabihin dun sa long topic. Pero di ako mukhang kabado and it helped.

do you write all caps sa writing exam? I followed yun mga sample ni ieltsryan on how to write pero 6.5 pa din. nagtataka lang ako kase sa speaking naka 8 pa ako to think na parang mas confident ako sa writing ko. listening and reading 8/8.5 din. ang saklap lang ang naisip ko lang is baka may minus score pag all caps ang sulat.

@fyi_12 kami ni partner hindi all caps. 7.5 nakuha nya. Sayang nga, check mo sa mga online tips kung recommended nga na hindi all caps sa writing.

@BeBBang, congratulations! sa IELTS sis. Anong OBS ka, I've read few pages fr. here tapos kna mag take kaya pala eyeing for SS kna. Medyo worried Lang sana Hindi magtagal dito SI hubby Kasi nagko close ang mga SS by state tapos depende pa sa nominated occupation. Ni suggest ko na kay hubby review sa other occupation Para sure na may ma aplayan SS pro parang Hindi sya determined. Sana Hindi kmi ma late sa NSW SS.

thanks for this, parang ayaw ko pa remark kase I read somewhere na kapag ang scores mo may difference ng 2 marks (e.g. 6.5 lowest then highest is 8.5) most probably may nag recheck na nun answer sheet mo and mababa na chance for change score. sayang din kalahati na ng ielts test yun fee. kakapanghinayang lang talaga baka hindi ko na maul it yun 8 sa speaking.

@fyi_12 Ganun din po sinabi sakin ng pinay na taga IDP Manila nung pumunta ako sa IDP SG para iparemark first IELTS score ko.. Sabi nya usually na recheck na daw yun kasi malaki diff ng highest to lowest and malabo na mag change ang score. I didnt expect na ma change kasi di ko na proof read writing ko so di ako ganun ka confident sa essay ko but I took the risk kasi you'll never know unless you try di ba?! As long as di mo natanggap yung final result there is still chance na ma change.So ayun po positive ang remarking...from 6.5 naging 7. But then nasa sa inyo po yun if you're willing to risk it

@persephone30 wow congrats. hehe naguguluhan na talaga ako kase pang 2nd take ko na ng ielts yun, yun una nasa sig ko results 6.5 writing, applied for remarking pero score didn't change. nag retake ako and the result was still 6.5 sa writing kahit I think nag improve naman ako hahaha. parang kahit kalahating point wala man lang nadagdag/walang improvement sa score although malayo na gun style ng writing ko sa first take sa 2nd take...kaka discourage tuloy hahaha pag isipan ko if I'll opt for a remarking..again. thanks sa feedback ha..ito na lang kase kulang ko para makapag EOI na ako. lusot sa butas ng karayom.

@lexxus, writing the answers all caps for the reading (as well as listening) test will be safer especially if you can't distinguish if the answer is a common or proper noun. and yes, you need to write your answers legibly and distinctly because the spelling matters. in the writing test though, all caps is a NO-NO.

@lexxus exactly dude, least expected yun ang mataas ang score, hehe. i agree! anyway sa Reading, safest way is to copy the capitalization from the text or as seen in the text; second, wrong spelling wrong sila sa reading, but since this is subjective, yung mga a na parang o at n na parang h depends upon the judgment of the checkers, pero i don't think they're going to mark it wrong kahit na obvious naman na you got the word right, for example: you wrote Past Office instead of Post Office, but if it's really ambiguous then you might lose points for this, better to write slowly and surely. gudlak kapatid! ;-)

at least I could attest that this is untrue for all cases..I had my scores reviewed and got a successful result. Highest was 9.0 and lowest was 6.5..

I suggest that if you really are confident that your work was 7.0 or above..go for remarking.

@harveypogz salamat po. materials? Cambridge 8 & 9 lang po ang ginamit kong reviewer. tips? as much as possible, allot an hour every night for your review po. from there, malalaman mo kung saan ka dapat mag-focus na area.

@BeBBang Tama sis, napaka effective nung sinu suportahan si spouse sa pag achieve ng target IELTS band score... Lahat ng review materials ako ang nag re ready, tapos ako din initially mag check ng Writing before namin ipa check sa agent. Sinasabayan ko din sa pag sagot para ma experience yun hirap kasi kun di ako naki sit in sa review nya, di ko kasi maisip na di pala ganun kadali ang IELTS... Need talaga ng mataimtimang review sabi mo nga :-)

Hi Guys, just sign up today dito sa FORUM after we have decided with my Girlfriend to give it a try to apply for AUS PR application. As for a start, all we know that 1st thing 1st is to pass IELTS. We're targeting atleast Band 7 but off course it's better kung mataas pa dun.
