    Update lang sa construction industry sa WA especially in mining, mejo slow ang business since end of last year. Ang forecast e magpick up ulit by March or April. My company has been terminating engineers and tradies since Q4 kasi walang projects, or kung may project man it fell through kasi d makakuha ng financing ang client. As of last count 300+ na naterminate from site :(

    Let's hope and pray na magpick up ulit, if ever madami na nman hiring ang mangyayari, good news sa mga new migrants :)

    may kailangan pa bang kuning short course or any other certification bago makapag-work sa isang Power Plant sa Oz?!

    Wala nmn kelangang short course kung talagang may solid experience kayo..Ang problema lang ngayon, the construction industry is so weak.Marami ang nagtatanggalan...As much as possible e I dont want to disclose this here kasi I dont want to discourage you...pero iba nmn ang kapalaran ng iba sa kapalaran nyo. For the meantime habang hindi pa nagpipick up ang industry, think of other option like considering different line of job. If you really want ot migrate here e, basta pumunta lang kayo dito at aralin nyo rin ang paligid nyo.

    Hi, quick question. For those who got their subclass visa 189 - 190 approved. Is there a need to provide a fixed amount for proof of income? Does it vary if you are going to Australia by yourself or with your partner? Thanks a lot.

    once you have submitted your EOI...
    the next step is to go to WA's immigration website..
    you can find the application requirements on there.
    make sure that your nominated occupation is in their SNOL (state list)

    submit your SS application, they will require your EOI reference number, so once your SS is approved, they can invite you to apply for the visa.

    for visa 189, you dont need to provide "show money" if that is what you mean..

    but if you are applying for visa 190, you need to answer several questions on the state sponsorship application, on how do you intend to support yourself in the next 3-6 months while looking for job... some states have a minimum amount required pag single, family+Kids..

    most members here said, that it just a questionnaire, but they dont really look for proof, like bank statements..

    once you have your SS and Visa, immigration won't ask for any "show money"

    Thank you for clarifying that inquiry. One more question, In order to assess your skills/qualification by Engineers Australia, you are going to submit the basic requirements, such as ;
    1. Diploma and TOR - (check)
    2. COE with detailed job description (check) and
    other supporting documents "what are these?" (??????).
    3. CDR, Summary and Application Form (check)
    4. IELTS result to be forwarded by testing center to EA. (check)
    I got the list by reading your thread.
    I have read the migration skills assessment booklet and I am glad to have found this website. Kudos!

    Other documents to prove your employment:
    - payslip (atleast the latest 3 months)
    - Income Tax Return (one for every year)
    - Training/Certificate (important skills that can validate your claim)

    lock_code2004, Do you have some references available for CDR samples? I have read MSA booklet 1 which I downloaded from EA website. I got a hold of a CE CDR sample which I downloaded from the internet and it would be better to have another one just for comparison and reference purposes. Mechanical Engineer here. Thanks a lot.

    May tanong ako mga kabayan..

    Yung employer ko kasi ngayon ayaw magbigay ng COE na may details ng job responsibilities ko. So gagawa na lang ako ng supplement to COE. Ang tanong:

    1. May mga nakagawa na ba ng ganun dito? Pahingi naman po ng supplement to COE nyo for reference ko.
    2. Kailangan po bang sa letterhead ng company nakalagay yung supplement to COE?
    3. Kailangan po bang yung Department Manager ang pumirma ng supplement? O pwedeng yung immediate superior mo na lang? Tutal pag vinerify naman ng EA sa company mo kung employee ka nga nila e masasagot naman ng HR yun.

    @piglet24 - yes, if you have more than 3 yrs, you need to get the additional service assessment (around 200aud), so they can give opinion on your work experience if its relevant or not... that will be the basis for your claim of work experience..
