hi.. merong application reference number nakalagay sa receipt (ipapadala thru mail)..
tapos the only way you can track your application is sending an email to them.. just to know which application date na ang currently being processed (for reference lang)... there is no way you can track your specific application number..

hi! newbie po...SG based po kmi, 3 yrs n po kmi dtu and since d ma approve ang PR namin we decided to try different path like Australia. This is a very inspiring forum, i have some questions lng po about nominating a skill, my husband work here as Design Engineer(3 yrs)and he's an Architectural grad (UST), binasa nmin yng job description ng Industrial Designer sa Australia and we think it fits the description s work nya dtu, also he has a 6 yrs experience as a Structural Steel detailer s pinas, ano po kya ang dapat Nominated skill nya? Industrial designer (CSOL) or Civil Engineering draftsperson (SOL)...i hope someone can enlighten me about this..thanx in advance.

@aliane - here are my comments:
1) SOL vs CSOL - kung nasa CSOL po ang nominated occupation, you need to have State Sponsorship, so you will do extra processing for this. Check each state's in-demand list, and dun kayo mag apply for SS, this will take additional 2-4months of processing, and from 0-300aud application fee depende sa state.
2) Occupation Limit - check kung alin sa palagay nyo ang may pinaka-mataas na limit/quota for that occupation.. you can see that in DiAC's skillselect website.. naturally, mas marami pang available slots mas okay
3) I think lahat nmn po ng sinabi nyo eh VETASSES ang assessing body, so walang difference dun...just be sure to check their requirements.
4) Cert of Employment with detail job description versus ANSZCO code job description - this is very important.. so kung sa mga nabasa nyo po eh alin dun pinakamalapit sa work nya, at kung yung work ba nya eh magbibigay ng detailed job description as proof of employment.
5) other related job - i think pwede nya po i claim as related job ang mga iba pa nyang work experience... basta maayos ang COE/job description ng bawat work exp nya.. para tumaas ang EOI points for work experience.

i consider nyo rin po pala sa option nyo ung archi draftperson sa kabilang thread..

so based po dyan, you will make your decision..

Already sent email to EA to check status of CDR submitted. They replied that they are currently processing assessment for August and they are on break from Dec. 25 to Jan.1. I thought the process is faster, given the most timeline posted here only took a month to wait... Praying that a positive result would be sooner than later.

Questions po:
1. 189 is independent pwede kahit saan (190 requires you to live/work in the state who sponsored you for 2 yrs). Kung more than 60 EOI pts go for 189, kung kulang ang points nyo 190 SS will have additional 5 points, and once SS is approved, automatic na po ang EOI visa invitation. You decide..
2. based on the list, it can be either EA or Vetassess. May (Pro/Cons) ang bawat assessing authority.. EA im not sure kung kailangang gumawa ng CDR/Career Episode Essays for Draftperson... For VETASSES, medyo mahaba yata ang processing time approx 4-5months.
please check po on their website.
3. check kung anung state available ang sponsorship... you don't need any relative to sponsor your for 190.. but i think you can put that information on why you choose that state ( because you have relatives there)

Hi mga bossing...May taga cebu po ba dito?...I am looking for a lawyer/law firm here in Cebu that can authenticate my papers for EA. I prefer na may-experience na yung lawyer/law firm in authenticating Australian visa applicants (especially for EA). I am not using an agency kasi so wala akong mapag-tanongan. Thanks.

hi! i'm new here po. i just wanted to ask some questions. i want to apply for visa 476 (recognised graduate visa) and nakalagay dun na you should apply within 2 years after graduation date. i graduated april of 2011 and mag-eexam pa lang ako ng IELTS this january. is it still acceptable for me to apply? or hindi na nila tatanggapin?

@fritz - you should be able to submit your application until april 2013 (2 yrs after April 2011).. pero wag mo naman sagarin..pag nag-exam ka ng IELTS sa Jan 2013.. within 14 days eh may result kana.. so assuming you have all other requirements now, pwedeng pwede ka na magsubmit once you have your IELTS result..

there is also another thread for Visa 476.. you may read for some tips.. and post relevant questions there.. goodluck..

i think from invitation to approval, it took him about a month..
of course, thats assuming you have all the documents ready and walang problem sa medical...

5wks po Sir! sa ka ilang forum, there was one bloke who got his in 3wks... no acknowledgement, no CO, just the visa grant!

ayun na nga...paano ba yang PCC?! :-)

andito pa kase ako sa saudi pero balak ko nang magresign, probably mga March 2013 e magreresign na ako...judging from the status of my assessment sa EA, baka February pa matapos yung assessment...so from this, kailangan ko na bang kumuha ng PCC agad while im still here kahit wala pa kame sa visa processing?!

According sa kwento sa akin ni saintluke e medyo madugo daw kumuha ng pcc from Saudi nung wala na siya dun so sir kung makakakuha na kayo diyan, mas maganda po.

Calling saintluke, ikaw ang may first hand experience dito, pcc from Saudi.

Hi guys, just wanna share lang (as experienced)...

Yung EA assessment for the visa app is purposely for the assessment alone. Unfortunately, nung pagpunta namin dito (3mos. ago under 475 visa in Mandurah WA) doesn't entitled any surety na Engineer ka na talaga sa Australia. Ang siste ganito...

1. Once nandito na sa Australia, try to contact OQU (Overseas Qualification Unit) ng state government (WA as for mine). Libre lang ang tawag. Processing ay libre din. Ang bayarin lang ay ang pag-photocopy at pag-certify ng mga credentials (diploma,TOR, passport at visa). Tapos wait ng 1 month for OQU's advise. Luckily, yung akin assessed as "comparable and equal" sa standard ng CE ng australian government. And further advise na "to pursuit a favorable employment, I can join EA (Engineers Australia)".
2. Upon joining a membership in EA, kailangan lang yung attachment na advise from OQU. Download yung form from EA for the Professional Engineer Graduate plus fees (see sched ng EA na lang). 1 month processing. And as of now, I am waiting now for it (by 1st or 2nd week of January).

Shortly saying, yung assessment ng EA nung nag-aapply pa lang ng visa, hindi yun grounds as totally accredited Engineer ka na ng Australia.... Just for sharing lang. Any comments and reactions are welcome.

@dhey_almighty sir kung nandyan pa kayo sa saudi bago kayo umalis maganda makakuha na kayo ng police clearance. I-honor naman yon ng DIAC. Proof nyo lang naman yan na in good character kayo dyan sa stay nyo. And also yung exit letter nyo or exit visa ay itabi nyo din yon dahil magagamit nyo yan as proof din. Ma-hassle kasi and mas mahal pag sa pinas pa kayo kukuha ng pc.

Agree. That is a fact so preapre yourself. You should understand the reason why you are coming here...dapat may kasamang sacrifices coz kahit na ipa assess natin ng ipa assess ang qualification at na prove sa kanila na engineer tayo, hindi ito guarantee na mapapractice natin ang profession dito. Hindi nmn ito din applicable sa lahat ng engineer or other profession.

tama.. pero keep in mind that once your visa is granted, your initial entry date will depend on your medical exam and/or your PCC validity date, which ever is earlier.

example:
you applied for your KSA PCC Jan 2013 (expiration date will be Dec 2013)
you submitted your visa, then you got invited, and then medical exam date Sep 2013..
assuming your visa date of approval is Oct 2013
your initial entry date will be Dec 2013 (based on the PCC expiration date)

wala naman kaso, kumbaga iiksi lang ang preparation nyo from visa approval to entry deadline.. but then yun nga, you have to choose between having immediate IED versus difficulty of getting KSA PCC pag wala kana sa Saudi

tama.. pero keep in mind that once your visa is granted, your initial entry date will depend on your medical exam and/or your PCC validity date, which ever is earlier.

example:

Hmmm with regards sa saudi pc i think hindi na nag mamatter yung validity peiod -sa case na nag exit ka na sa bansa. In my opinion ang titignan naman dyan eh kung may conviction or pagkakakulong na hindi dapat hihigit ng 1year. So kung wala ka na sa saudi at nakakuha ka na ng police clearance, yan ang migiging proof mo na wala kang criminal conviction. Mag aapply lang ang yung 1 year validity ng police clearance kung san bansa ka currently nagsstay. Since aalis ka naman ng saudi, i guess you don't have to worry yung validity ng pc. Mas better kung ma estimate mo as close as possible yung issue date ng saudi pc mo dun sa exit date mo.. Again, opinion ko lang ito hehe. Anyway wala naman mawawala if kukuha ka na ng saudi pc bago ka umalis. Siguro sa co mo na itanong if makakaaffect yun sa initial entry date mo sa saudi pc mo, if hindi naman edi beri good na hehe..

@langgam37 hi sir, CE din po ako,nagbaback read ako sa conversation dito sa forum, pero nanotice ko na kelangan muna tapusin yung IELTS bago makapagsubmit ng assessment sa EA, pero dun sa data nyo nakalagay,nakapasa na kayo sa assessment bago kayo kumuha ng IELTS exam.. possible po ba yun.. dun kasi sa page 1 ng discussion, dabi nila required ang IELTS bago ka makapagpaassess.. clarification lang po.. bka kasi pwede ko pagsabayin..salamat

hi.. im not familiar with EA req'ts back in 2011 (referring to @langgam37's timeline)..
pero currently. IELTS score is required by EA before submitting your CDR/Assessment application..
