@hotshot i think, depende lang sa yo ... in my 1st company, ni-list ko lang ang responsibilites then list of projects kasi same lang responsibilities ko dun... pero sa 2nd company ko, iba2x ang responsibilities, i listed it by project....

Helo po.. question po about Statutory Declaration, pwede po ba ex-officemate ang papagawin namin nito, or dapat Supervisor/Manager lang? Walang kasing Duty and Responsibilities na nilagay ang first company na pinasukan eh, ayaw magbigay kasi wala na daw yung mga manager na nawowork dun.. We're in SG now, tapos ung andito is ex officemate lang, pwede kaya na sya na yung gagawa?

Kelangan ba din ng officemate namin magshow ng COE para makita na nagwork din sya sa company dati?

@alexamae best yata na from supervisor or manager, yung akin was thru my team lead kasi nde existing company namin. tapos nagprovide sya ng contact and calling card..
check with your hr din ang alam ko dapat alam nila roles and responsibilities ng staff kahit generic lang

@hotshot, yeap depende sayo kung list down mo yung responsibilities per project... may mga cases din kasi na confidential yung project sa company kaya its not required as mentioned in ACS FAQ

@batobats Helo, ganun po ba. Ang hirap kasi kausap ng mga HR na bago dun. Lalo na nasa SG kami tapos ung company sa Cebu eh.. Hahanapin kaya nalang namin ung Sup nya or Team lead nya..

Sinama mo po ba ung Team lead nyo dun sa magnotary for the stat declaration?

Pero kanino kaya pwede magpagawa if kahit responsibilities hindi sinama sa COE kasi confidential? Enough na kaya yun COE with position, job title, salary and employment period? Kasi kahit managers hindi pwede gumawa without approval for me eh. So wala talaga. Pero meron supporting letter na sinasabi nga na confidential un information na yun, pero pwede sila contact for verification.

@Bryann ang hirap nga nyan kung pati main duties and responsibilities confidential sa company nyo? sobra naman sila... you might need to submit statutory declaration instead kung yung simpleng normal na COE lang... importante kasi yung detailed responsibilities, isang factor yan para ma-gauge if you met the qualification

Pero in fairness to them, binigyan din ako ng HR manager ng letter na sinasabi confidential kasi un information na yun meron pa photocopy ng id nya. Tapos suggest din nya na hingi ako sa manager ko, tapos samahan photocopy ng id din nya. Pero hesitant naman ako lumapit kasi baka mag-iba tingin sa akin. Hahaha. Kasi isipin may balak umalis. Kaya iniisip ko kung enough na kaya yun COE na wala lang responsibilities, pero meron supporting letter of explanation kasi malabo ako makahingi sa manager, baka ma-escalate pa.

@Bryann for that situation mukhang mas applicable na statdec where you can also provide explanation kung bakit hindi ka makaka-provide ng detailed COE from your current employer, then add mo nalang sa supporting docs yung certificate from HR and yung photocopy ng ID nya pa-sign mo na din sa knya in blue ink pra madali ma-identify na authentic

share ko lang... marami ring confidentiality issues sa company namin...
sa COE na bigay ng HR, only the position, date started and salary ang nakalagay...
so, gumawa ako ng job details where I listed my job responsibilities and projects and had it signed by my manager/supervisor...
nag-attach din ako ng calling card ng manager namin if gusto i-verify ng ACS...
But I printed this using the company's letterhead.
Buti na lang c company1 binagyan ako ng soft copy ng logo and c company2 yung HR namin mismo ang nag-print...

di na ata lalabag yan sa confidentiality churva ang responsibilities dahil generic naman yan... for example develop applications, debug... etc etc...
and sa projects dahil hindi pueD ilagay ang name ng client, description na lang ng project nilagay ko like Inventory System...

Bakit kelangan mo pang i-modify ang COE mo samantalang pwede ka namang humingi ng REFERENCE LETTER sa immediate supervisor mo.

Kahit hindi ka magpasa ng COE, basta may REFERENCE LETTER lang ok na yun.

Mas honored ang REFERENCE LETTER kesa COE. why? Kasi mas detailed ang Reference Letter pati attitude mo sa work nakalagay dun. Basahin mo ang ACS PIM3, ang kailangan nila ay Reference Letter not COE.

Mga masters, magtatanong lang po ulit sana ako tungkol sa case ko kasi baka meron na sa inyo na same case sa akin.

Current Situation: I requested for a detailed COE from my previous employer but they replied that they could not provide what I was asking. According to them, due to confidential information, they can only give a standard COE which states the employment date, the position and salary. The also told me that the job descriptions cannot be printed on a paper with the company letterhead...again due to this confidentiality clause. So right now, I don't have any choice but to create a Stat Dec. I know some of my questions have been asked before but I'm still quite confused on how to go about it. So here they are:

1) Everytime I resign, I make sure to request for a standard COE from my employers before I go. So, sa previous employer ko, meron na akong standard COE pero dated back on 2008. Kelangan ko pa ba magrequest ng bago? Or pwedeng yun na ang ipasa ko kahit 2008 pa sya ginawa?

2) For the Stat Dec, paano po ba gumawa nun? May nakita akong format dito sa forum so balak ko gayahin na lang yun. Basically, from what I understand, it's just like a formal letter at sasabihin ko yung mga information na wala dun sa standard COE ko. Then, papapirmahan ko lang sa previous supervisor ko at nakalagay din lahat ng information about the supervisor. Yung letter...as if yung supervisor ang nagsulat (balak ko kasi ako na lang ang gagawa para wala na syang gagawin kung hindi pumirma na lang) hehe. Tama po ba?

3) Related sa previous question, isasama ko na din ba sa loob ng Stat Dec yung reason kung bakit di ako makapagbigay ng COE na may job description? So parang lumalabas, supervisor ko ang nageexplain kung bakit di pwede magbigay ng detailed COE ang HR?

4) Ano po ba yung "3rd party corroborative information"? Ipapa-certify ko lang sa Notary Public yung Stat Dec? Kelangan ba present din yung supervisor ko pag pina-notaryo ko yung Stat Dec?

5) Ok lang po ba na yung Stat Dec ko ay walang letterhead ng company? Bawal daw kasi sabi ni previous employer ko.

6) Given that I already have a standard COE (kelangan ko lang ng Stat Dec for the missing information like job description), do I still need to provide documents like payslips, tax forms, etc?

May standard COE talaga sa pinas at kahit sa ibang bansa. Most commonly, Position and Work duration lang ang nakalagay. Kahit nga employee number hindi nakalagay.

Ask your immediate supervisor to furnish you REFERENCE LETTER. Indicate your position, for how long you've been working, number of hours/week, full-time or part-time, at least 6 duties and responsibilities, your work atttiude. Don't forget to put the contact number of your supervisor, etc.

If your previous supervisor/employer can no longer be contacted, then make STATUTORY DECLARATION but you have to attach strong evidence of your claim. Example: COE, or employment contract, bonus, merit increase, etc. If there's a senior employee in that company whom you still know, then ask him/her to make REFERENCE LETTER for you.

@alexamae, di na ata kailangan isama ung Team Lead pag ipa-notary mo. Okay na yun basta may pirma nya at may contact number. Make sure na blue ballpen yung pinang-pirma nya para considered as "colored" yung document. It will help you pag mag-online application ka.

Hi hotshot, similar tayo ng situation nung time na nagsisimula akong magpa assess.
Yung COE standard lang talaga, kaya nagpasign ako sa dating kong boss ng reference letter. wala naman yung letter head ng company pero inform ko yung boss ko na ipapanotarize ko ang letter. yung statutory declaration, kapag di na ma contact or nagsara na yung company then i think dun ka na pwede maglagay ng payslips, old COE etc etc.

@hotshot, in my case I used statutory declaration kasi hindi din ako nakahingi nun ng detailed COE. at gumawa pa din ko ng detailed COE.. tapos hinagilap ko mga managers ko before.. almost all of them wala na sa company na pinagwoworkan ko. so I just asked them to provide business card nila dun sa current nilang company. basta tama yung contacts. that should be fine.

@hotshot and yes I also provided my payslips, pati mga salary letter, bonus letter. and all sorts.. that would help. pati resignation letter ko sa dati ko company kasama din.

@hotshot RE Stat Dec, may link sa PASA Guidelines kung paano gumawa ng Stat Dec. The link is http://www.ag.gov.au/statdec and sa upper right you can download a format. It would be an advantage if you have a friend who is a lawyer, at least he can help you to draft the contents/claims using the appropriate words., though it is not necessary. you can always write on your own stat dec, just that they have the expertise in putting things together (cohesive) and how it would sound formal. In my case I asked the cousin of my wife to do the Stat Dec for me. I just need to provide the facts about my employment, inlcusive dates, duties and responsibilities, salary. sinabi ko din sa stat dec ko kung sino yung supervisor ko nag mag po-provide ng corroborative information, I also indicated and attached other supporting docs, like old COE, salary adjustment, training certs, payslips at kung ano pa na pwedeng makasupport sa claims mo. sympre, I also mentione why I am not able to provide the COE.

RE sa question mo whether to include you duties and responsibilities sa stat dec mo, yes, indicate mo na doon.

RE "3rd party corroborative information", ito ay form din ng stat dec, this time, your immediate supervisor or sino man na mas mataas ang position sa iyo ang pipirma (also from the company na subject ng Stat Dec mo). ok lang kahit nasa ibang company na siya(provide na lang siya ng business card. if wala, indicate mo sa stat dec ang contact information niya). bsta dapat nakamention sa stat dec niya na dati ka niya ka officemate, ka team etc. bsta i -support lang niya ang iyong claims. Since ikaw ang hihingi ng favor, it would be helpful na ikaw na din ang magdraft ng stat dec niya, just let him verify the info and sign.

No need for them to show COE but you can make them sign a statement saying na naging kawork ka nya dati and that nabasa nya lahat ng nilagay mo on ur statutory declaration and nagaagree sya sa areas relating dun sa time na magkawork kayo.

This is what I did with mine:
1. Statutory declaration with detailed breakdown ng work experiences ko
2. Signed corroboration statement from my leads on each of the experience na nagsasabing aligned sila sa nikeclaim ko (ako na gumawa nitong document na to, pinapirmahan ko lang sa kania) - with their contact details
3. Other supporting docs
- payslip
- COE
- Certificates
- Contracts
- Company letters (promotion, increase, etc)

Kung maganda yung set na maipadala mo sa ACS, most probably di na nila kelangan tawagan ang company mo or naging company mo (parang korte lang yan, kung matibay ang ebidensya, panalo agad case mo without further investigation :P), pero shempre dapat prepared ka for the worst and isipin mo lagi na tatawagan at tatawagan nila mga ilalagay mo na contacts

Yes kaylangan ng salary. Check mo sa website ng ACS, may FAQ sila dun about contents dapat ng stat dec, and isa sa info na kaylangan nila is declaration about paid employment... Not specifically asking for how much yung sweldo pero mabibigay at mabibigay mo ung info na un hru supporting docs like payslips...

Basta wala ka dapat inhibitions sa paglagay ng required info to build a better case... Lay it all out sa unang submit mo palang para wala ng hassle ng back and forth... Goodluck!

PS: please check yung ACS. Webbie for more info sa gusto nilang mkita sa stat dec... Kelangan mlagay mo lhat un. Himdi sila strict sa format so I suggest using bullet point (thats what I id) for readability

Just curious.. sa ACS application, if original na employer reference ba like COE, or Reference letter, paano if 2 copies binigay sa inyo ng company and okay lang sa iyo na i-submit yun isa sa ACS, okay na ba yun kahit hindi na ipa-notarize? Or kailangan talaga photocopy mo pa and ipa-notarize? Understanding ko kasi original is okay na, ang sabi lang ng ACS hindi sila nagbabalik ng document kaya advice nila is submit CTCs of documents.

Hi @Bryann, yup I think ok lang na original yung ibigay mo. Basta nga nde na sya ibabalik. Yun din pagkakaintindi ko eh.
