good day po sa lahat. hello guys this is a nice blog, after reading through some of the comments i thinks this is a nice place to ask for some questions and discussions. Have po ako ng concern, gusto ko talagang mag apply as skilled migrant to australia. I have 5yrs working experience in the field of computer programming but i worry too much about my college education. Graduate po ako ng 'AMA Computer Learning Center' as 'Computer System Design and Programming' which is 2years only i think 'Associate Degree'. I also have other qualification in Cisco CCNA Mod1 to Mod3, but didnt finish the Mod4 and take the exam to be a certified ccna prof. May relatives po ako sa Aus, my Aunts and Uncles but not so sure if they can give me a hand.:) Worry ko lng po talaga yung education ko... I hope anyone can enlighten me or give any suggestions regarding my scenario.. really appreciate it. God Bless and more power

Hi @franz, I think kailangan mo pa mag-apply ng RPL dahil sa education mo. Im not very knowledgeable about this. I hope someone can clarify my statement.

Hi @kat, pwede kaya sya sa group B? Kasi section 3 naman yun school niya and related un experiences niya and 5 years na naman siya? Although yun sa vendor certification, certified Cisco CCNA ka na ba kahit hindi mo tapos yun lahat ng Mod? Hindi kasi ako familiar dun. Pero like you said, nabasa ko na sabi mo need mo pa Mod4 to be a certified CCNA professional. If gusto mo kasi submit yun sa ACS, kailangan nila nun certificate mo, except Microsoft certifications na transcript id and access code lang kailangan.

Sige hintay tayo ng iba members baka meron similar case ng sa iyo. Hindi ko kasi sure if ma-assess as equivalent sa AQF or Diploma sa Australia yan course mo sa ACLC.

hi katlin/ bryann thanks sa info really appreciate it.:) I will check on RPL(recognition of prior learning) and do some further research... Yes you need to finish mod4 and take the overall exam to be certified CCNA Prof. Sige gather pa ako ng additional info before submitting to ACS for assessment.:) Actually i've been to Aus for 4yrs in melbourne way back 1999 to 2003, maganda talaga yung place and ideal talaga for having a family kaya gusto kong bumalik ulit. Kung masipag ka lang doon wala kang magiging problema. Very low yung crime rate unlike sa pinas specially sa Zamboanga nako sanayan na lang, taga zambo pala ako sorry for my tagalog.:) We applied as bridging visa but didnt worked out, so we had to come back mahirap ring mag TNT kung mahuli ka nako deport kaagad.:) What i can say, Aus is really a nice place to stay... Tama sila about the RPL route... I'm not sure nga lang kung may hit yun sa points or something... So in the event na kulang ka ng 5 points (nicomment ko na din ito sa isang thread "online application"). I know someone who successfully did yung community language accreditation whatnot:

I'm not sure kung ano yung requirements and how to go about ung accreditation (like testing areas, etc) pero kasama dapat ang Filipino language doon sa mga list of languages that can be accredited, so this could be one of your last viable options kung kelangan mo pa ng 5 points.

Kung original, pwede ng hindi photocopy, as long as colored (I think). I got lucky with mine na may company header in colored/embossed ink and signature ng HR in blue.

@Bryann, if u would like to have it photocopied do it, mas trusting your papers mo pag ganyan. When we submitted ours to ACS we have it photocopied. Well, its up to u hindi na namin kasi alam ngayon ang mga requirements ng ACS since May pa kami nagpa assessed.

Thanks sa mga nagrepy. I just submitted 1 of my 2 original copies of my employment reference since it's too much hassle if magpa-notaryo pa ako ng 1 document lang. Blue ink naman yun pinagamit ko sa signature. Kaka-receive lang today ng ACS nun hard copy ng documents ko and last night I checked Stage 2 na sya. Sana maging okay ang resulta so I can move forward to the next steps. Ang sunod ko is IELTS maybe in 2 weeks time, review muna konti.

Additionally, sabi mo na galing ka Melbourne and lived there for 4 years. If by chance during those years andun ka to study, and you completed the course.. pwede ka makakuha 5points for australian study. Hehe.

yes bryann, nag work kase ako doon not related sa IT, but i did studied part time sa Kangan Batman Tafe school as Certificate 2 in basic computer applications (only a certificate). i check ko baka maka points ako... it was after pag balik namin 2003 s pinas took a course at AMACLC, after graduate until now worked sa IT field comp. prog. As ko lang, counted ba ung mga projects/ sideslines na gawa ko sa other company? Employed ako as fulltime, but nag e-extra ako sa ibang company for some customized applications... pwede ko bang in include as additional experience? Thanks in advance and God bless...:)

I think pwede dapat yung part time sa ibang company, as long as paid naman yun... basta ang importante malinaw sa statutory declaration na sinasabay mo sya sa fulltime (baka malito yung magreview sa sequence ng dates hehe) and makakuha ka ng required corroborative information from ur colleagues dun sa part-time job na nagpapatunay sa xperience claim...

Ito po taken from ACS guidelines re: employment

The duration of employment requires specific start and finish dates (month/year) and a declaration whether the work was full-time or part-time in nature. Part-time work is counted on a pro-rata basis with 35 hours or more per week being considered as full-time.

as for me, hindi pa kami talga decided kung CA or AU, most kasi ng relatives nasa US eh although me brother ako sa AU. nakaka-pressure kasi 32 na ako, sayang pag lumagpas ako. pinaka-sure na maka-pasok is AU, since me brother ako. sa CA naman eh parang naghahanap pa kung papano papasok dun. haayyy, hirap mag decide

@alnr, take the time to see the advantages and disadvantages for you between Au and CA. Last year job listing for PR visa of CA not listed ang mga ICT jobs tsaka konti lang yung nasa list of jobs nila dun while sa Au any states pwede ka magpa sponsor o mag apply ng PR. Pagka ganyan sa CA by states na rin ang application mo kung hindi naka list sa jobs nila ang ICT or yung mga ginagawa ng kapwa Pinoy natin dun nagki caregiver muna then tsaka na mag aapply ng talagang work nila just to have their initial entry sa CA. The way i see it mas maraming advantage pag nag apply kasa Au kesa CA.

Dude, habang nagaantay ka sa decision mo, dapat kilos ka na towards that decision para na rin hindi ka maubusan ng oras, rememer, immigration requirements ng both CA and AU do change a lot over time so baka sa kakaantay mo, mawalan ka ng options...

Yey! Got my ACS results released, thank God "Suitable". Hehe, IELTS naman. Sana maging okay din, Jan 7, 2012 na yun earliest sched. Sayang sana pala nag-IELTS na ako last Dec. 10, para ma-lodge ko na agad yun visa application sa DIAC. Thank you Lord.

Ganitung ganito kami nag apply noon end of Nov. tapos dahil sa mga christmas holidays at bank holidays inabot ng May 2011 ang release ng result namin sa ACS kasama na dun ang reformating ng certificate of employment ng husband ko as per ACS request...grabee!

Ako ginawa ko sobra detailed talaga yun employment references, sinama ko un projects, lumapit ako sa mga immediate supervisors/managers ko, and pinapirma sa kanila yun draft na ginawa ko. Sobra bait pa nila pinayagan nila ilagay ko yun mga contact numbers nila (email & mobile #s), and also photocopy ng company ID nila sinama ko sa PDF na attach sa ACS online application. Lahat yun notarized. Tinext ko sila sabi nila hindi naman daw nag-email or call ang ACS. Akala ko matatagalan nga yun processing kasi wala pa nag-reference check. Awa ng Diyos na-finalize agad un application.

@Bryann, he he...grabe! detalye yan, kanya kanya talaga ng paraan para syempre pag nag ask further documents pa ang ACS nyan additional waiting time, money, etc. pa.

Yup tama, kaya nga yun references ko write up talaga. Mga 3-5 pages each employer. Tapos pati COE, sinamahan ko photocopy ng company ID ng HR manager. Hahahaha. Tapos notarized din. Ayun hindi na sila tumawag or nag-email sa mga employer ko. Sa identity din, binigay ko notarized copies ng birth certificate and passport ko. Tapos nagsubmit din ako ng CV. Thank God nag-pay off naman yun efforts namin. Pero simula pa lang ito eh, matagal pa paghihintay. God bless sa ating lahat.

Hi Guys,

Bago lang ako sa forum na to and I'm also preparing my requirements for Skills assessment. My main concern talaga is COE kasi basic lang yung binigbigay nang mga previous companies na pinagtrabahuan ko.
Ano po ba advice nyo?
1. Company 1 can give me COE pero basic lang (typical company issue) pero pwede kong kausapin dati kong manager at gagawa ako nang Statutory Declaration/Affidavit that is aligned sa Resume and Nominated Skill ko then pa sign ko sa kanya, kaya lang di na din sya connected sa Company 1. Ano po ang gagawin ko?

2. Pwede po bang makahingi nang sample Stat. Dec or COE na ginawa nyo at pinapirmahan nyo na lang. I'm a Systems Admin pero any format or sample po is highly appreciated. ito po email ko [email protected]


I hope you guys can help me medyo n stress na kasi ako.. Thanks In advance..

Hi @nono, you can do your suggestion number 1.
Simple lang yon, just a document stating na yun talaga naging trabaho mo.. then may contact details nya at signature. That will suffice.
