@bessya, same na nangyari sken sa first mock exams ko. Nag aauto mute yung microphone ng laptop na gamit ko, I only find it out nung nagsasalita ako at biglang nag appear yung "silence detected for 3 seconds" though malakas boses ko.

Mukang di mo na pde balikan yan kapag na click mo na yung Next button. Kpag ganon ulit nangyari, gawin mo next time is click mo "Save and Exit" button tpos pag resume mo sa item na ulit na yun ang balik mo at pde mo sya ma overwrite basta lang wag mo click yung "Next" pde mo nga din overwrite yung sagot mo nung una kung di ka contented. @penpendesarapin, just follow lang po kung ilang wordings ang required and always stick to the prompts especially sa essay.

Additionally, kung ang gusto nyo pong pataasin ay Writing overall score kaya nyo po naitanong yung essay, SWT, SST. Sa tagal ko pong nagbabad sa mock exams may natuklasan ako and not sure kung ako lang o pati yung iba dito na experience, kung superior po ang target nyo, sad to say na kahit makakuha ng good scores sa essay, SWT and SST not enough para mka superior, need nyo po tlga ng ibang items or let's say half correct answers sa ibang items for example sa (Write from Dictation, etc...) para makasampa po ng 79+ yung scores sa writing communicative skills) pero kung proficient lang po, feeling ko po oks na po magfocus lang sa essay, SWT at SST for the writing section. But this thought is just mine and from what I have experience sa mock. Tignan po nten yung comment ng mga masters nten dito. GODbless po.

Hi share ko lang exp ko with PTE. I passed my PTE acad on my 3rd attempt. Yung 1st 2 exams ko mejo I must say minadali ko yung review. Super disappointed with my score sa listening kasi sya lang talaga yung ligwak sa dalawang exam ko! Yung 3rd nag focus talaga ako kasi sa PTE you need to give your 101% focus kasi time pressure sya. Importante yung complete yung tulog mo and di masyado kabado yung relax lang. And narealized ko sa pang 3rd ko na exam na kelangan talaga more practice. Hindi sapat for me yung 1week intensive review kelangan talaga atleast a month puro practice test ka para masanay ka. I always listened to podcasts din yung tedtalks. Madami ako nakuhang ideas and vocabularies. Maimprove din yung listening skills mo.
Eto nakuha ko nung 3rd atempt.

@bessya make sure na hindi off topic sa writting mo. Sa speaking sobrang important yung intonations and yung pronunciation. Sa exp ko kasi di ko na pinansin yung content ng mga sasabihin ko pero ginandahan ko talaga ang pag sasalita ko pati intonations ko. Pero pumapasa naman ako. May nabasa kasi ako somewhere na ang computer daw magaling mag read ng pitch ng voice so possible daw na mag dedepend yung computer sa intonations and pronunciation mo kesa sa content ng sasabihin mo. Ganun lang naman ginawa ko and mukhang effective naman.

Eto po ang tulong ko for others aiming for superior scores as well.

Speaking - speed is the key, don’t mind the intonations needed. Just go with the pauses, short pause for periods and shorter pause for commas. In fact, 20 - 25 secs lang ang read aloud, describe image and retell lecture ko.

For writing, go with this format for summarize written text, nakuha ko lang din to dito.

Topic, which is ___ and ____, is not only ____ but also ____.
Aim for 30 words at least.

For essay naman, go with the 3 4 4 3 format.

Introduction - format ni heprex goods yun

Body 1 - 2 sentences supporting point 1 tapos example and conclusion. Use For instance, example. Tapos Hence, conclusion.

Body 2 - same with body 1 na format. Use As an example, example. Tapos Thus, conclusion.

Conclusion - With the points stated above, I can affirm that conclusion. Tapos Moreover, I strongly recommend that ___.

@beetle00, patulong naman, may mga fillers ka bang ginamit sa describe image, retell lecture at summarize written text, essay etc. Medyo hirap kasi ako sa speaking balak kong mag take this March or April. Thanks.

@bluerocky yes bro, Yung kay @Heprex na fornat. Isapuso mo lang yun, 20 to 25 secs lang sakin at pasok naman sa 90 hehe.

For reading and listening, ang mabibigay ko na tips ay grade yourself when practicing. Checkan niyo po yung mga sagot niyo and aim for 80% above na scores, ibase niyo po dapat sa scoring guide ng PTE. Also, timed din dapat, make sure na 2 mins lang per question sa reading. Yung sa exam ko, 16 items reading pero 33 mins lang ang time

@bluerocky 1st time mo po mag take ng PTE exam? saan? Manila o Cebu? Balak ko kasi sa March or April dito sa Cebu. One question lang po (OT): Pwede na magpa "assessed" kahit di pa ako nakapagtake ng PTE exam?

For engineer isa sa requirements ang pte a result or any english exam na equivalent ng pte.

@MDK-GAB yes 1st time ko for the exam, dito ako sa Dubai, medyo mahal nga kasi parang nasa 13K PHP pag nag take ka. puede ka ng mag pa assess ng document mo, ako nga last year pa ako nag pa assess sa ACS ngayon lang ako makakapag focus sa PTE Exam. Goodluck sa atin.
