Sa speaking lang ang mapapayo ko katulad sabi iba gumawa ng speech template! Kahit na di related stick to your speech template! Medyo naging shy lang ako kasi iniisip ko naririnig katabi ko paulit ulit sinsabi ko hahahaha! Kaya i know i could have done better.kung di ako nahiya. Tapos make sure sa speech template mo academic words ginagamit mo like variables, correlation, and etc. Tapos smile when you speak, mas magiging maganda pagsalita mo believe me.

anyone with speaking exam template? pra mei idea lang ako. and mei problem ako ksi balak ko mg gold kit pero hindi gumagana yung headset ko. na indtall ko naman. nagagamit sya for other aplications like skype pero sa pte na website, silence detected lang xa

@MisterKehn this is brilliant, just exactly what i need kase malapit na ang exam. thanks po. etong lahat ng multiple choice and multiple answers ang hirap po. kase compared sa ielts na pwede ko sulatan at highlight un mga keywords, pte-a practice walang marker sa screen, paulit ulit tuloy ako pagbasa ng choices. pano po style nyo sa ganitong items?

@kate27 process of elimination. pag sure ka na na obvious na mali. i note mo at wag ng balikan hehehe. time consuming ung pag basa ng choices lalo na kung alam mo na naman na mali sya.

Tama si @Zaire then focus lang and dapat aware ka sa time. Advise based naman sa result mo sa IELTS wala dapat ikaworry sa reading at listening at writing, maging aware ka lang sa format ng exam laki bagay na yun. Mas paghandaan mo speaking exam @kate27 .

@kate27 - Actually, in my case reading ang weakness ko..hindi kasi ako palabasa eversince.. sa PTE reading, you must learn how to skim with faster comprehension.. during my 1st take, nagtagal ako masyado sa reading comprehension, in the end dko natapos lahat ng mga reading questions.. I got 64 score.. which is 1 point below sa desired kong score.. In my 2nd take, minadali ko naman.. natapos ko lahat ng questions pero madami akong mali.. I got 63 score.. In my 3rd take, katamtaman lang..I got a score of 70.. In addition sa mga sinabi nila, try the following tips.

The idea here is only to read the passage once!!!..

-Read and understand the question first.
-Read briefly the choices. If you can eliminate at least 1 then it's good. if not, just briefly read
-Then skim the passage and look for the possible answer.
-Try using your finger or the mouse to navigate the passage. It's like underlining the words/sentence while you read. In this way, you can comprehend much better. Effective eto para sa akin.
-Try putting the choices in the laminated pad.. not the whole words/sentence..siguro initials lang as long as you understand. Then put that pad next to the passage beside the screen monitor. Parang the old way of typing a passage in microsoft word. The idea here is not to look in the choices(which is below) multiple times while you read the passage...
Example:
Choice A: "Because it was given by the government" - Sa notes mo.. try only putting.. "because govt"
- If you really cannot find the answer, just make a guess and move on.

@MisterKehn @nicodc @ zaire maraming salamat po. noted po lahat. maganda po mga tips nyo try ko later sa pagreview un mga tips nyo, kagulo talaga ako sa multiple choice na yan.
agree po un speaking, practisin ko maige kase naka bigla din sya lalo na pag di pa organized un thoughts ko bago ako makasalita, mabilis ang oras e. bawal mag hang

@kymme para dun ba sa scored practice test?
un experience ko dun sa libreng pte practice test, hindi gumana un mic ng headset sa first set. akala ko ganun talaga di narerecord un voice ko bilang libre lang naman un. pero nung second-3rd set narecord na. difference is, nagsound recorder check ako nun 2nd-3rd set before ako mag practice exam. hindi ko alam kung same problem tayo. ginawa ko lang was i recorded a few seconds of my voice using un sound recorder sa pc tapos i played it, gumana naman. tapos nag ok na din un recorder ng practice set na review ko na un response ko.

@kate27 i tried installing the headset sa laptop pro wla din na dedetect. tried several headsets. bka ung laptop ko tlga mei problema.

@kymme i see. nagchange ako nun headset with mic nun first instance na wala marecognize, luma kase un. so ginamit ko un sa office kase sure ako na gumagana yun Jabra brand, naginstall tapos gumana un ear, pero un mic na confirm ko lang nun nagsound recorder. sana mafix mo na yan para makastart ka na ng review.

Everyone, i'd been lurking this thread for a while, and i'd like to thank all of the contributors. Last October 02, i took the exam and got 90/90/90/90 for R/S/L/W! Nasurprise ako ng sobra kasi i'm not expecting to get perfect score but it turned out to be true, and finally nakuha ko after taking IELTS. Overall, para sa hindi pa nakaka take, mag PTE-A nalang kayo swear. IELTS is partly subjective so may chance pa for lower scores that you don't deserve. PTE is scored by computer so you can study and learn the techniques to get high scores! I purchased the Gold package too para ma familiarize sa types of exam plus scoring. For the 2 sample exams score ko is etween 70-80++, pero in reality, mas mataas sila magbigay. I only spent 2 weeks for review and ok naman..

In return, I'm sharing my tips here:

1. Do not be worried with the headset and mic. PTE-A Makati uses a high-end headset and lapat na lapat sa ears so you can really hear listening tasks well. As mentioned earlier, please make sure na un mic is on a 45degree angle.. so parang nasa side na pababa direction. make sure na malakas register ng boses niyo sa mic test before starting the speaking exam.
2. For speaking test, lakasan yung boses and make sure na natural un flow ng words. I had some minor glitches pero i made sure na tuloy lang ako sa salita. It's true na marami ka makakasabay ( around 8 ata kami last october 02), pero focus lang ang kelangan. Wag mo pakinggan mga katabi mo macoconscious kalang. speak as if magisa kalang sa room. Sa describe the graph, tama naman earlier comments na start with telling what type of graph and title ng graph, tapos describe highest and lowest points, yung trend, and overall note. Minsan sa final sentence sinabi ko nalang the graph displays good summary.
3.For reading, medyo malalim and nakakalito tlga words, pero you need to be mindful of the time. i budget niyo un time remaining sa # of questions remaining. For me eto pinakamahirap na part, pero you really cannot study it unless you read dictionary and use complex words everyday. context clues nalang ginamit ko dito para masense ano tamang isagot.
4. For writing ielts style lang ginawa ko and ensured na may malalalim na words and wala masyadong umuulit na words. Saktong 300 words ginawa ko.
5. For listening,madali lang. dun sa repeat the lecture, isulat mo lang yung important keywords, pero make sure na wala ka at least malilimutan na important keypoint sa sasabihin mo. Since computer magchecheck importante na un key topics in the talk have matching keywords sa answers mo.

Yung speaking eh baka di nakuha ng MIC yung ibang sinabi ko, medyo nautal din at mali ng ibang sagot sa short answer.

Sa reading ko naman eh di ko natapos last 3 questions at per questions eh 4-5 items ata so talagang bumaba score ko

Writing ko naman eh mali ata yung nasulat ko sa essay kasi yung Television nagawa kong capital T kahit nasa gitna ng sentence, baka wrong spelling na yun.

Tips naman please, lalo sa reading yung reorder sentence at sa last part rin, mukhang malalalim kasi yung words hehehe
