I just reviewed by myself with the help of free E2 videos sa YouTube, lalo na yung mga mock tests. May mga methods/formulas/structures na will be helpful sa test.

Small tips based on my experience (Took the test twice: Proficient, then Superior):

Speaking: Practice speaking words in English. Don't fuss too much about grammar. During both of my tests, barok na barok yung grammar ko kasi kabado. I both scored 90 sa speaking on both of my tests, parehong kabado at utal utal yung pagsasalita ko non. I just made sure na na eexpress ko pa rin yung main thoughts/ideas ng sentences ko.

Reading: Toughest portion dahil sa negative markings. Follow strategies, and play safe pag may negative markings. This is the only portion in the exams na sinagad ko yata yung time ko, so I suggest you take your time in answering questions here as well.

Writing: Not hard to do, but hard to get a good score on in my opinion, kasi subjective ang scoring. For people like me na madaling maubusan ng ideas sa mga essay, I simply followed E2's tips on structuring your essay---- maguulit at rephrase ka lang ng ideas at di gaanong magiintroduce ng bagong ideas. Medyo cheesy (meaning it will help you in the test, but won't immensely improve your English skills), but they do work. As long they work, wala na ako pake.

Listening: Easiest part based sa exp ko, as long as you're familiar with some very common complex English words, then you are good to go. If not, then there's no way around it. You just have to read and learn more English words.

Intro:

*please take note lang din na this may not be the case sa lahat ng topic na ibibigay. As you practice, mapapansin mo na magkakaron ka ng sarili mong style ng pagsulat ng essay.

@monlim i'll try to answer your question based on my experience. kahit hindi argumentative yung tanong, same template lang gamit ko. ginagawa ko pa ding argumentative yung essay ko. may nabasa din akong ganitong style before nakalimutan ko lang kung saan.

@monlim kung advantage/disadvantage, maiiba yung structure pero same pa rin yung 1st sentence ng intro. sa 2nd sentence, baabaguhin ko lang for example, "While there are advantages to (state ko yung statement), there are still some disadvantages." tapos idugtong ko ulit yung last sentence ng intro. pagdating sa body, 1st paragraph ko advantages, 2nd paragraph disadvantages. Conclusion, own words ulit

@monlim Pag ang prompt is "discuss the advantages/disadvantages...." mas okay na imention mo pareho kasi yun ang hahanapin ng computer/checker. I-ttweak ko yung structure ni @donyx at eto din yung na-derive ko sa E2 videos dati.

Intro:

[2] Overall, I believe the benefits of (main topic) outweigh it's disadvantages. (pick a side)

You can end at [2] but personally, I find it funny and incomplete. So you can add one last sentence:

[3] (Write a follow-up to sentence 2) (e.g. In fact, young students should be educated about contraception as early as middle school.)

**Please note sa exams di mo kailangan magprovide ng totoong scientifice evidence. So sa mga evidence/supporting sentences pwede ka magsulat ng, say, "Condoms have been purchased at convenience stores by 7 out of 10 young adults.".

@TSM_Oz_Dream Practice! Check E2 language sa Youtube for techniques. Tapos download mo yung ptetutorials.com na app, may 300+ practice items for each exams so jan ka magbababad. Once you register, may libre kang 10 exams sa site nila. Answer these mock exams kasi mafe-feel mo yung actual test. Ganun din katagal so maeexperience mo yung fatigue na marami kang sinasagutan.

Hi po sa lahat.. nagtake po ako nang mock test pa advice naman po pampalakas nang loob.. pero alam ko narin kahit papano ang weakness ko.. may pag asa pa kaya ako maka 65? Mageexam narin po ako next week. Nakaka down tuloy.. binasa ko po mga tips at template dito.

@novapic kayang kaya yan.. listen to podcasts and YouTube Ng E2 language.. need mo iimprove and pronunciation which is the proper enunciation of each words especially Yung mga importanteng words . And Yung oral fluency mo, bilisan mo konti pagbabasa mo at Yung proper chunking Ng words.. more practice pa... God bless

Hi guys! Just took the exam. Resulted with 73 Speaking 84 Listening 90 Reading 90 Writing.

I observed nahirapan ako sa Repeat Sentence, hindi ko mahabol ang words kasi I tried listing first letters. Did not expect na mahaba ang sentences compared sa mock tests na natry ko sa ptetutorials. Need your advice po sana on passing this part.

@novapic - where did you take your mock exam? pahingi naman details and how much. I'm planning to take soon. sabi naman nila mas mababa magbigay ng score si mock exam..some who took the exam kasi is mababa sa mock exam but they passed naman sa actual exam. thank you

@hmacaraniag - sa review center po ako nag mock test.. 1.500 po binayad ko sa review center for gold kit naghati kami nang kasama ko sa review. Yung review center na po ang bumili nang mga voucher code. Sana nga po maka pasa kahit 65 lang pwede na..

Not sure kung mkakatulong etong experience ko sa speaking, last take ko 90 ang speaking ko with 90 din na oral fluency kahit na may namiss ako sa repeat sentence diretso pa din ako. Ang method ko sa repeat sentence ay yung method from E2 Language, tinatandaan ko yung per phrase at meaning. Yung pag sasalita ko hindi mabilis, hindi rin mabagal, hindi rin malakas, hindi mahina. Yung tipical lang na pag sasalita pag may kausap ka.

Ang isang ginawa ko din pala, pag start ng recording mag bilang muna ko 1 sec then salita.

I've heard mahal po yung exam that is why I need to be well prepared.

Hi Everyone!

Finally nakagraduate na ko sa PTE. Malaking help sakin 'tong forum since day 1. Eto naman ang tips na maibabahagi ko. (actually halos same din sa sinabi ng iba)

SPEAKING & WRITING

Bago kayo magumpisa test nyo ng maigi mic. Kapag yung recording nyo malinaw at malakas ang boses nyo at walang feedback, it means ok na yun. Hindi nyo need sumigaw sa mic. 

1. Read Aloud 
- Normal boses na mejo mababa and clear. Napansin ko din dito dapat mejo mabilis. You need to pause pag may period and comma. May timing yan e. And pag mashado mahaba sentence alam nyo din kung kelan mag pause. Please check e2language sa utube

2. Repeat Sentence 
- Practice practice ang secret dito. Pumipikit ako sa part na 'to at nakakatulong naman

3. Describe image 
- Before magumpisa dito, clear mind and wag magpanic. Hindi mo need isummary or sabihin lahat ng makita mo sa image/chart. Ang sikreto dito tuloy tuloy and no hesitations. No hmm, false start, or paulit ulit. And hindi pwedeng wala ka sasabihin in 3 secs. 

Format:
1. This (whatever) graph/chart represents/shows (topic)
2. (talk about any two or three info you can see in the image) The highest blah blah, the lowest blah blah. Followed by blah blah
3. In summary, the graph is accurate and concise and could be a helpful reference for further studies in (something).

*kabisaduhin nyo yang format na yan pati mga fillers. Napakalaking bagay kapag wala na kayong masabi.

4. Retell Lecture
- Important masulat nyo in bullet points yung sinasabi ng speaker. Practice magsulat habang nakikinig at dapat mabasa mo sulat mo hehe. Nangyari sakin indi ko mabasa sinulat ko. Kasi after mo magsulat ilang secs lang magsasalita ka na agad.

Format:
1. The speaker mainly talks about (topic)
2. According to the speaker, there are several points in the lecture.
3. Firstly, he/she mentioned that (point 1)
4. Secondly, he/she emphasized (topic 2)
5. Lastly, he/she suggested (topic 3)
6. In summary, it is clear and interesting as a learning topic.

Same sa describe image, kabisaduhin format pati fillers. Pwede din kayo magimbento ng iba pang fillers for general use

5. Answer short question
- Practice din dito and pwede din pumikit para mas makaconcentrate.

6. Summarize written text
- May magandang tutorial ang e2language for this test. Ang ginawa ko, basahin ko essay then distinguish ko kung what is it about and kung ano yung mga palabok lang (details). Then tanggalin ko mga palabok and kunin ko lang yung mismong (main) idea ng essay. Nahirapan din ako dito dati kasi pati details sinasali ko. Practice practice ang need


7. Essay
- Most of the time argumentative essay ang need isulat. 4 paragraphs ako dito. Practice practice. check:Grammar, spelling, punctuation

Format:
1. Introduction
background statement
rewrite the question
“This essay will…”

2. Arguments 1 & 2
opening sentence
support sentence
evidence
closing sentence

3. Closing
"This essay discussed" (summarize points in arguments 1 & 2)
"In my opinion," (rephrase 4th sentence in Introduction)


READING
• magbasa-basa ng articles then try mo gawan ng summary
• widen your vocabulary
• practice magexam and magbudget ng time per item

LISTENING

Malaking bagay makinig ng Podcast, BBC

1. Summarize spoken text
- Same as retell lecture to pati format. ang difference lang isusulat mo ang sagot
check:Grammar, spelling, punctuation

2. Multiple, multiple answer
- Take down notes and intindihin habang sinusulat. Ibangga ang notes sa answer options

3. Fill in the blanks
- Tip. press tab lang agad para sa next missing word

4. Highlight correct summary
- Sulat mo idea ng mga sinasabi then ibangga mo sa tamang summary sa options

5. Multiple choice, single answer
- Check e2Language sa Youtube

6. Select missing word
- Eto need mo check yung options habang iniintindi mo yung recording

7. Highlight incorrect words
- Itapat mo lang yung cursor kada word na sabihin

8. Write from dictation
- Type mo lang kung ano marinig mo kahit wrong spelling. ayusin mo spelling bago mo click Next 

Gumamit din ako ng PTE Tutorial and PTE Preparation app. Kelan ko lang nalaman may ganyang app na pala hehe. Malaking tulong sya sa pagpractice sa Reading since yun ang weakness ko.

Para sa mga nagstruggle kagaya ko.. Kung hindi nyo pa nakukuha ang desired score, don't give up. May perfect time si God at makakamit nyo din yun. Never lose hope. Tiwala sa taas at sa sarili.

nagregister po ako sa pte. sa ung name ko kase is my suffix na 'Jr.' then dun sa form sa pte when registering, meron naman specific field for suffix so dun ko nilagay ung 'Jr.' ko but when scheduling for exam na, site mentions na ung name ko must be exactly the same sa ID so sa passport is ung given name and suffix is magkasama. has anyone encountered the same issue? should i ask pte to change my name sa profile ko to combine my given name and suffix? thanks!

@maximogc Nag-email ako sa kanila dati about passport change nagrereply naman sila quickly. I think i-email mo sila about your issue kasi importante din magmatch yung name na lalabas sa PTE results mo sa mga future application forms na sasagutan mo during visa application.

@sicntyrd thanks sa repsonse. actually, i think tama naman ung ginawa ko na i put suffix dun sa suffix na field instead of adding it after my give name. it's just that mgkaiba ng format ung passport natin sa format nila. during application naman sa dfa, sa form meron naman specific field din for suffix but when they print out na ung passport they put the suffix after given name. i asked for clarification na with PTE and still waiting for response na lng to what the format should be. i hope meron din mgreply to my question na ganto din ung naging worry nila.
