Hi everyone, I just came across this thread while looking for additional resources para sa PTE review. I am reviewing my partner for his PTE this coming November. Currently we are using APEuni and Pearson Question Bank before we proceed sa mock test.

Meron po ba dito may template po for SWT/SST? Thank you po! ♡

Hi @Lois, congrats po. Ang taas po ng nakuha nyo. Tanong ko lang po kung ilang weeks/months kayo nagreview at gaano po kadalas ang practice nyo? Nakailang mock test din po kayo? Thank you.

I'm currently on my 2nd month of review. Tumagal kasi di ako nakakuha ng slot. October 30 pa po exam ko. For my 1st month, pinanuod ko lahat ng vids ni Jay plus konting practice. Then this month, puro practice na. Pero kinakabahan pa rin ako because I'm also aiming for a 79+ points.

Any words of advice/motivation na rin po. Thank you so much!

Thank you po @EricTC. Nagparesched din po ako sir, kasi kabado rin po ako sa unang napasched ko po. Mga one month po ung naging consistent na review po ako sir. During weekdays po, mga 1hr after work po pag nakasched po ako ng work from home po. Pero pag weekdays po, almost wholeday po ako nagpapractice. Naka 2 mock test po ako sir sa APEUni.

Thank you po @EricTC. Nasa one month po sir ang review ko rin po. During weekdays po, pag naka WFH po, after work po, mga 1hr po nagrereview/practice po ako. Pero pag weekend po, kung kaya po ng maghapon, ganun katagal po ako nagrereview. Nag leave din po ako ng 1 day ung week before the exam to review and practice po. Naka 2 na mock test po ako, same sa APEUni.

Tingin ko po, okay naman po ung ginagawa nyo sir. Practice lang po ng practice. Nung ako po, hirap po ako sa RS talaga kasi nagpapanic po ako pag mahaba ung sentences, nalilimutan ko po. Pero okay po ung tips ni Jay, un po ang ginamit ko saka practice ng practice din po. Sa lahat po ng days na nakapag practice po ako, lagi po kasama ung RS. Naglalaan ako ng time for RS po talaga since sabi po sa mga napanood kong vids, isa po ito sa mabibigat na components po.

Sa DI and RL po, nabasa ko rin po dito na effective po ung template ni Jimmyssem, kaya un po ang ginamit ko sir. Sinulat ko po sa bond paper, tas dinikit ko po sa wall namin para lagi ko sya nababasa. hehehe

Sa advice po and motivation, practice lang po and pray. a day before po, since may work po, binasa ko na lang po ulit ilang minutes per set and possible ilang questions po, then natulog po ng maaga. hehehe Nag pray din po ako at hinga lang po ng malalim bago magstart sa actual exam.

Just finished my 2nd mock test and 71 points lang kasi nakuha ko average. Lowest is speaking at 64. Though may idea na on areas for improvement, pero kuha lang ako insight if may nakakakuha ng 79+ points from mock test. Thank you!

hello! i’m planning to take the PTE po and ang starting point ko is magbasa ng tips dito and sa youtube. 😅 so for read aloud, while practicing, sinusunod ko naman yung dapat sakto ang bilis ng pagbasa (or medyo mabilis), magpause lang during punctuations… pero parang may practice paragraphs na ang hahaba ng sentences so parang nalalagutan ako ng hininga😂. alam ko mababaw pero kelangan ko ba magexercise? joke. kidding aside, may impact ba sa scoring ang paghabol sa paghinga sa gitna ng sentence?

Hi @kathc, thank you po for this info. May I know kung ano rin pong gamit nyong mic? Medyo napapansin ko po kasi defective yung nabili kong headset with mic na tig 500php lang. Na-bother din ako sa speaking result at 64 pts.

Tips on speaking/listening:
1. Avoid stammering, continue to read the rest of the sentence even if you mispronounced some words. Huwag na i-repeat/ i-correct yung words.
2. Avoid monotonous voice. Give emphasis/stress esp. on those enumerated words.
3. If you want to outsmart the AI in PTE, use Jimmyssem's template for DI/RL.
His templates are practical. But for all 4 parts of the exam, E2Language (jay) has golden contents.

Take a few mock tests after some lessons kung kaya. From there, assess your weak areas then improve. Huwag nang patagalin masyado ang review at pag-iisip kasi makaka-add lang sa anxiety (my 0.02).

I used wired earphones lang from Audiotechnica, around 1k PHP yata. Medj matagal na rin sakin.

My 2nd mock test, I only got 28 in speaking. Di ko kasi nidocuble check yung audio setup ko. (Yung microphone na gamit is yung sa webcam ko.)
On my 3rd mock test, I got 90 on speaking. I only used earphones na kasama sa phone ko.

I agree on this, especially sa #1 tip. Kahit nung actual exam, may times na nagstutter ako at nagmumble ng words (kasi di ko talaga narinig o naintindihan yung word). Ang mahalaga ay tuloy ka pa rin sa pagsasalita at wag papakita na nag-iba yung tono ng boses nyo (dahil sa kaba).
I got 90 on speaking. Kaya pasalamat ako dito.
Also, I used jimmysem's template for DI/RL and essay para yung focus ng practice ko ay yung Repeat Sentence at konting Write from Dictation.

Whew! Ang hirap pala ng Repeat Sentence!! Tinry ko magmock test agad, nakakagulat pala yung bilis ng pagchange from 1 task to the next. During RA and RS, parang nagsasalita na ko before recording. Nawalan ako ng presence of mind dahil nangangapa ako sa nangyayari Good thing pala na nagmock test ako, atleast may idea na ko kung paano ang flow ng exam. Hopefully sa 2nd try ko magimprove result ko.

For those who are planning to take the mock test but scheduled to take the PTE before Nov 16, need niyo na magtake ng mock test until tomorrow kasi by Oct 27, magcchange na din ng version yung mock test from 3 hours to 2 hours.

dati nag bibigay ng voucher ang pte sana kaya nakaulit ako ng marami at discounted rate. sana may mag share btw country based cya. like sa case ko last time applicable lang sa Singapore Cuppage ung Chinese new year voucher.

For DI, hihingi lang po sana ako ng tips kung pano babasahin ang year.

For example:
1901 - nineteen O one? nineteen zero one? or nineteen one?
2020 - twenty twenty? or two thousand twenty?

May impact po ba ito or acceptable naman lahat?

Just got my result. After 2 hours lang, may result na!

Just to share, I joined this forum last Oct 10 and started to collect all the tips na kaya ko makuha dito. Then week of Oct 16 officially nagstart ako magreview, youtube here and there, tapos pakonti konting try sa APEUni. Basta finamiliarize ko lang sarili ko sa techniques. After a week (w/c is this week), I took the mock tests. 1st ko last Sunday, and then nung nakita kong di okay yung speaking ko pero ginawa ko naman yung techniques na advise ng lahat, nagmock test ulit ako last Oct 27. When I got the result of my 2nd mock test, sablay naman ako sa reading. Pero nandun na kasi talaga ako sa point na - ano pa ba aaralin ko? Sabi nila sa read aloud, basta wag magstammer, sa repeat sentence naman atleast 80% of the words makuha mo - and wag magstammer. Sa DI/RL, effective naman daw yung kay Jimmyssem. Sa reading and writing naman, mostly general knowledge and ok ang result ko sa mock test for writing (gamit ko yung structure ni Jay for essay and FANBOYS lang for SWT). So after my 2nd mock test, I've decided to resched my exam, from Nov 12 to Oct 30. So ayun, ang sched na nakuha ko is kaninang 10:30, then by 3pm may result na. Sobrang maraming salamat sa mga tips niyo!! Ang advise ko lang kung katulad ko kayo na crammer, wag niyo na patagalin. Aral aral aral then go go go agad.
