Hi guys. Eto yung mga useful method na nadiscover ko during practice na nakatulong ng malaki sa PTE performance ko. Share ko na dito bago ko mabura sa notepad.

Note on Arrange paragraph
1. Identify first the first sentence which can stand alone. Apply reduction method
2. For the succeeding sentences, take note of the keywords used. They are interconnected to each other. They may be used as a reference for the next sentence. Don't split 2 sentences with the same keywords.
3. Conluding sentence has a concluding tone the way the sentence is written.

Note on Repeat Sentence
1. Chunk words. Jimmyssem's practice problems on youtube helped me a lot as well in chunking and memorizing.
2. For long sentence, abbreviate.
3. When speaking, speak continuosly and with intonation.
4. Speak a little bit louder.
5. The previous tips lets you get more points in pronunciaton and fluency than content.

On highlighting incorrect words (listening)
1. Read in whispers following the speaker. It will highlight the incorrect words more.

On Listening Multiple Choice, single answer
1. Write down the keywords the question is looking for
2. If you cant select an answer, just stick to the information said by the speaker

Common advice:
On DI & RL = Use Jimmyssem's template. Work like magic! Naka 90 ako sa speaking.

For other type of problems, kay Jay of E2 PTE ako kumuha ng teachniques.

Important note:
Practice everyday! Naka 3 mock test din ako. 2 from Pearson then 1 from ApeUni (the night before my exam para ma-recall ko lahat.)

It took me 2 months to review. First month, puro nuod lang kay Jay dahil busy din sa work. Then the 2nd month, puro practice na, hanap ng techniques and improvement of my weaknesses.

Don't lose hope kung mabababa yung mga mock test nyo, naka 44 lang ako sa 1st mock test (di kasi ok yung earphone mic ko) then 71 sa 2nd from official PTE mock test. Continue to practice every single day.

Add'l note, sa speaking, parang nagrereport ako sa tv ang ginawa kong pronunciation, as suggested din ni Jay, kaya meron talaga akong hand gestures. Believe me, nakakawala ng kaba at nakaka boost ng confidence sa pagbabasa pagfeel na feel mo with hand gestures. Haha. Wag mo nalang isipin kung makikita kang ganun sa exam room, ang mahala makuha mo yung target score mo.

Good afternoon. San po makakakita ng gold kit ng pte academic? Or ung may voucher po. And is it correct na sa my pearson accnt dun ka po ulit mgpaschedule ng exam? It’s been years na kasi since i took the exam kaya medyo nakalimutan ko na. Thank you po sasagot

You need preparation. need ng mga tutorial na akma po para sa inyo. You can back read some of the tip po ng iba na nakapasa gamit ang mga shared templates ng mga members here

Pray lang din po. Ibibigay din po yan sa inyo.

A week before my exam, I prayed really hard every single day na ibigay ni Lord sa exam yung mga na-review ko. Kahit alam kong prepared na ako, mas at peace ako knowing na God will help me.

True enough, binigay nya yung hinihingi ko. Di ako masyadong nahirapan sa exam amd finished it with flying colors (unexpected ko talaga yung result).

Hi, saan po kayo kulang? Ilan po recent scores nyo?

Share ko lang sa akin last year.
Ang naging study buddy ko ay si APEUNI. From reading to writing.
Then, meron tyong mga tips or templates dyan sa writing. Ginamit ko ang mga iyan. Ang pinaka mahirap sa akin ay yung RS at Yung last part ng listening. Both yan malki ang bigay sa scores.

For DI and RL, super effective po template ni Jimmyssem. Naka-90 po ako sa speaking. Dahil po sa template, mas nakapag-focus ako practicing on my weaknesses which are RA, RS and WFD. PERO, nag-take po ako ng exam before November 16. Be cautious nalang din po and stay updated with recent announcements sa channel ni Jimmyssem baka po may nabago with the template, following the November 16 PTE Exam updates.

For SST, SWT, and Essay, follow Jay's tips from E2 PTE Language Youtube channel. Yung technique nya po ang ginamit ko. Alam ko pong sobrang hirap mag compose ng sentences, kahit na mahilig po akong magbasa at magsulat, nakaka-frustrate pa rin, pero malaking tulong po yung tips nya esp. on the essay structure. Practice, practice, and practice din po on the writing tasks, kahit na time consuming, para masanay pong magsulat within the 10/20mins allotted time.

@EricTC yan nga din po kinakaworry ko kasi magbabago sa Nov 16, hopefully po effective padin siya.

Nag mock ako sa Pearson din noong bago ang first take ko para maexperience ko un exam.
Tapos free mock nlng galing apeuni nun 2nd and third try ko.

Hello! Hindi ka nag iisa, same page tayo planning to get my 3rd attempt on Jan-Feb 2022, but baka mag IELTS na ko. Huwag mo sukuan!! Speaking ako hirap and nag change na ng quantities and hours ang PTE baka on your/our 3rd attempt makuha na natin yung desired scores natin!

Hi guys, as a token of gratitude, sinulat ko in a blogpost my whole PTE Exam preparation (and techniques) from Day 1 of practice up to the Examination Day.

Here's an excerpt:

1. Overview
The following test preparation and practices greatly helped me to score 89/90 overall in my PTE Academic examination, with each category scores of:
Listening= 90/90
Writing=90/90
Speaking=90/90
Reading=83/90

2. Timeline
I prepared for two months starting from September 5 to October 29 of 2021. My test was scheduled in October 30. For the first month, I only watched Youtube videos covering all 20 tasks under the 4 categories (listening, writing, speaking and reading). For the second month, I did my practice.
During the first month, I only watched 1 task per day. The Youtube tutorial videos can go for about 30 mins up to 1.5 hrs per task; one must also allot a decent amount of time taking down notes and doing the presented exercises. For this month, I had my full 20 days for watching and 10 days for rest/lazy days (with a little bit practicing).

During the second month, I practiced every day per task, except on Sundays. But before I began practicing, I had my 1st mock exam to gauge my performance and know my weaknesses. For the first two weeks, I tried to cover all 20 tasks during my practice. I had my 2nd mock exam on the 14th day which is a Saturday. I then practiced per category per day, while consistently practicing my task weaknesses (which were Repeat Sentence, Read Aloud, & Write from Dictation. All tasks will be discussed below.) The night before my actual exam, I did my 3rd mock exam to recall all of my learning and techniques.
Important note: Practice with a face mask on, as face mask and face shield should be worn during the exam.

3. Resources
I watched all of the 20 task tutorials from E2 PTE Academic (Link: https://www.youtube.com/c/E2PTE/playlists). The most beneficial videos for me are those with “Super Method” in the title, they are usually short and recently uploaded. After watching all of the 20 task tutorials from that channel, I then watched Jimmyssem’s video on Describe Image and Retell Lecture Tips and Tricks (Link: )...

Worried ako ng kaunti sa Repeat Sentence. Ang laki ng weight niya sa scoring and dun ako pinaka-nahihirapan.

Pero natural lang naman magkamali diba or maka-miss out ng iilang words? Naiisip ko kasi lagi na kapag may mga namiss out ako words, sobrang drastic yung effect niya sa scoring.

Actually, ito un isa sa pinaka mahirap pati yung WFD. Nun ginagwa ko, everyday ako nakikinig sa youtube practice RS ng careercoves noon. Tpos, halos nakakabisa ko na sila haha. It helped me actually. Also, minsan siguro suwertehan lang sa testing centre. Like noong ako, sa mismong pearsonsingapore ako dalawang beses puro proficient. Tapos nun ikatlo, sa ibang testing centre ako. Yun sinuwerte at one take. Kung really maraming beses na at same same parin, why try sa other testing place mag test. Good luck.

I only got 72 points po 😢 talaga po ba? Medyo naggets ko naman po yung sa FIBs, nakakasagot naman po sa practice tests. Pero sa RO po talaga, minsan okay, madalas nakakagulat bakit po yun ang 1st sentence 🥲

Hirap din po ako sa RO during review kasi andaming pwedeng lineup ng sentences. Pero eto po ang ginawa kong techniques:

c.3. Reorder Paragraph

On a pts perspective kasi, eto break down
FITB R/W - 24
MCMA - 4
RP - 8
FITB R - 20
MCSA - 2

So since 72 palang range mo, I recommend na konting push pa sa parehong FITB. Mababa lang kasi talaga bigay ng re-order, so kung mataas ka sa FITB I'm confident na aabot ka ng 75+, like 78. Hindi ka bababa ng 72 dahil lang sa re-order, may ibang subtest na naka affect nyan.
