    thanks. might as well not continue mine na din. meron pa din naman pension n matatanggap, hindi nga lang ganun kalaki. also, if ever naman gusto balikan to continue contributions, pwede naman din anytime diba?

    ako, hindi ko na tlga cya tinuloy nung unang pag alis ko pa lang ng bansa. Been working abroad for almost 8 years now. Sa isip ko kasi, ok na yung naicontribute ko dati, kahit di umabot ng 120 months. Kesa bayad ako ng bayad, kapiranggot ang makukuha eventually. Kumuha ako ng private insurance, though.

    add ko lang dun sa SSS kasi prang may nag comment na gusto mo mag continue pwede mo nman balikan ung years na di ka nakahulog, hindi na ngayon..iba na ang policy ng SSS..pag natapos na ung year na un di ka na pwedeng maghulog for those years... sana makatulong sa pag decide..

    hi @czha - yup, di na pwede balikan yung years, pero pwede pa ba mag continue ng paghuhulog until wala pang 60 yrs old? para lang madadagdagan yung total months of contributions sa computation ng magiging pension?

    Hi there. After reading the first 20 pages on this topic tsaka yung topic about banks. Can summarize the preference on bank as below:

    1. Yung pinaka pinoyau friendly na bank before going to Oz is CBA dahil meron sila product tailored for people like us - recent grants. :).
    2. CBA Smart Access Account will allow you to open account kahit wala ka pa dun.
    3. Merong monthly fee na aud4 kapag walang 2k deposit monthly pero may lusot daw although I am not suggesting it. I think personally cheating pa din sya. Hanap na Lang agad work para di na makaltasan ng 4aud monthly. Hehe. Pressure.
    4. Yung ibang products ng CBA I think di sya ganun ka friendly sa mga kagaya ko kasi nagrerequire na sya ng address in Australia.
    5. With the Smart Acess Account, you can start to open it online and start to transfer your money Kung saan ka man sa Mundo thru wire transfer and I think there are some other ways too. You can do this 3 months before you actually arrived sa Oz. Super!
    6. Google CBA Moving to Australia or CBA Smart Access account for details.
    7. Tip: if you read more in the site, meron sila summary checklist on the things you need to do before going to Australia. Well presented site at very informative.

    Kindly pacorrect ng assumptions ko Kung May Mali or let me know other pinoyau-friendly alternatives na meron yung ibang banks. I still think that I should not bring a lot of cash and wire transfer is still the safest at mas murang way to transfer money from my current location to Oz.

    PS - I am not working on CBA at wala ding kaibigan dun. This week ko nga Lang malaman na May bankong ganun ang pangalan. Ang alam ko Lang ay Commonwealth Games. LOL.

    I think most bank should have their migrant-banking scheme; NAB has one as we took this bank together with CBA.

    On #3, I don't think this is cheating... It is what it is and if you want to save $4 per month, you can do it.

    3. Merong monthly fee na aud4 kapag walang 2k deposit monthly pero may lusot daw although I am not suggesting it. I think personally cheating pa din sya. Hanap na Lang agad work para di na makaltasan ng 4aud monthly. Hehe. Pressure.

    @vhoythoy well its kuha-at-balik method, 2K or more.. I still not prefer to do it though... personal ko lang naman na pananaw... I would rather save $4 by not drinking coke or bawasan junk food ko than by doing it...

    kanya kanya naman opinyon yan.. yun ay akin lamang..

    Ah ok lang pala yan. Ako nga ngaun ko lang nalaman may charge pla si citibank na 10sgd a month kapag hindi umabot maintaining balance. Ilang yrs ko hindi napansin kasi lagi ko zero balance within 2 days after sweldo haha. Uu wala nman kaso yan kahit sa taga banks. Marami naman sila ways to earn income

    For those na may mga bills sa pinas like pagibig,sss, insirance pamo nyo po binabayaran? Meron bang online payment lang na pwede n bayaran yang tatlo if may account ka bank?i asked sa bpi and bdo wala daw sila eh.

    bpiexpressonline gamit ko... marami silang accredited na merchants.
    insurance, meralco etc kasali dun.
    check mo kung kasama sayo...
