@tooties wow saya naman. I'm not sure though where the clinical placement will be. Pero kung malayo sa accommodation ko makikipagshare na lang ako sa mga classmates para mas malapit..para less gastos at di effort sa byahe! Hehe kasi yun school sa cbd, i believe..kaya ayun marami siguro temptation dun haha!

@cattrac Yes point cook is in zone 2 of melbourne around 30-40 mins to city.

to travel use this app moovit in app store ( best app) i use this everyday especially as I am doing agency nursing.

as to food prices check coles.com.au to have a better idea.

Hi everyone, I'm currently fixing my immunisation requirements for placement for my upcoming nursing course. Meron po ba dito na nakapag submit na before ng immunisation form? I am assured by my mom na complete ako sa vaccines but we lost all the records. Im wondering if a serological test will do as proof and if pwedeng iaccomplish na dito sa ph? Baka kc expensive na kapag sa Australia. I recently called a laboratory and was told that doctors are the ones required to fill out the form. I would appreciate any inputs. Thank you in advance! :)

Hello chin.. Dito na ako nagpa serology noon kasi di rin tatanggapin ang mga results from PH.. I spent $200 ata for my serology here..

I did all my immunization and serology in PH. di naman nagkaproblem. I am not sure siguro depende n rin sa school. Better ask your student service coordinator if they will accept it,..or you need yours to be done in Australia.

Try also to ask around sa insurance if they will cover the cost of immunization and serology. You might need to see a GP though to request a script or a blood work request.

hi @janinlee! thanks for ur feedback! did you go to a hospital there for the serological tests or merong preffered provider and school mo? I was thinking din na baka expensive kc kapag diyan,. good thing now I have an idea how much thanks to you. Were you able to complete the form without any difficulties?

Hi @tooties! Thanks for your help! I already contacted the school to know if they will accept na dito ko na gawin. I called a lab here sa atin and they have serology testing naman but I was told na dapat Internal Medicine of Family Doc and dapat mag fill-out ng immunisation form provided by the school. May I ask kung saang hospital ka nagpatest and around how much and needed budget for it?

Yes, thanks sa input! i will definitely ask Medibank., it will be a relief if they do cover those. Thanks again!!

@chin Mine was filled out by my pedia, but ok naman din ang IM or Family Med..

Sa local hospital lng ako sa Zamboanga nang pa gawa. As to vaccination, I think I spent almost 8k for the whole course of my immunization. Some kasi 2 doses some 1 lng..

As to Flu vaccine dito lng ako da Aus nang pa inject free lng..hehe kasi April yung Flu season..Free vaccination for all health care staff even students..

Hi @tooties! Got a reply from my university, as long as may time daw I can do the tests here but was shocked sa price, almost 15k ang inabot. :( majority is for blood/serology tests lng to check for titers and adult DTaP lng ang uulitin ko na vaccine plus polio booster. Nag back out muna ako since nakakagulat ung price. I'm planning to call my insurance provider to know how much they will cover onshore. Yes, good to know free ung flu vaccine diyan ko nlng din kukunin. Thanks again!

@janinlee thank you for the info! Sa Victoria ung school ko but I'm guessing wala masyadong difference ung immu records requirements natin. Yes, medyo expensive nga,. I just asked today and aabot ng 14k ung lahat ng titers/vaccine. Nag back out muna ako to confirm sa medibank baka sakaling may ma cover sila and to check if saan ako makakatipid. BTW I messaged the school and they allowed me to do the tests here if I have ample time,. Kaya lng nashock tlga ako sa presyo! Haaaayy but thanks again!! :)

@chin yung flu vaccine was free only that time. I am not sure if any other time if its still free.

Yup mahal talaga yung vaccine n serologies. Cant change that kasi mahal yung mga reagents.

Hi! Ask ko lang po kapag ba yung visa mo for bridging na subclass 600 gaano katagal ang approved length of stay? After the bridging program, gaano katagal yung pwede mo stay sa au to look for an employer? Thanks :)
  • tootiestooties Mandaluyong
    Posts: 206Member

@marzky depende sometimes 1yr multiple entry, maximum 3 months per visit meaning more or less 3-4 times k pwede mag balik sa AU.

yung ilang entry ang ibibigay sa io ang CO mo ang mag decide. Meron n rin ako narinig n single entry ang n grant sa kanya so after bridging kailangan nyan umuwi agad to either look for an employer to sponsor her on a 457 visa or mag wait sya until maka apply n sya PR or mag apply sya student visa etc..
After bridging mo usually meron k 5-7 days before u need to leave AU pwede p mag tour2x. after leaving Au if multiple entry ang grant sayo pwede k bumalik agad to look for an employer. kaso wala k rin work rights.

Thanks @tooties for the info. So after bridging usually mga 5-7 days lang pala pwede magstay to look for an employer so advantage na lang din if maapprove for multiple entry., nagiisip pa din kasi ko kung ano maganda option kung 3 months na bridging or yung 1 year na conversion..
