@Santi Based on my experience recently, ang PRC pa din yung magsesend ng documents. But what I did to speed up the process, I paid the DHL office and sila na daw ang magpipick up from the PRC office.Hope this helps.

Hello everyone. Is anyone here applying for a skill assessment? ANZSCO code to choose. I have been working in different areas mostly in MEdical-Surgical. However, the ANZSCO code for these areas are separate. I am confused if I have to choose in either of the two or opt for the NEC.Thanks.

@janinlee You can check it out sis.. nasa anmac website. yung assessment standards. It clearly states under STANDARD 4 - Professional practice that (quote) :
The Standard is met when the applicant has practised as a nurse or midwife in the 5 years preceding their application date. Newly registered Australian nursing and midwifery graduates do not need to meet this standard but they must have obtained AHPRA registration.
So being newly registered all we need is to have AHPRA registration and we are covered. :)

Dont worry. Pag labas mismo ng AHPRA rego natin pwede na tayo mag apply for skill assessment then apply agad EOI for skillselect for PR :)

@janinlee Just for clarification lng ha. If u are going for visa 189 which is independent u need 3 yrs experience that is recognized by APHRA it must be written sa ANMAC skills assessment otherwise this will be the cause of visa refusal. However if u have only 2yrs exp u can go for a state nomination route which is visa 190 i believe queensland and victoria 2yrs exp lng. yung ibang state 3yrs exp...

meaning u can still get a positive skills assessment whether u have no experience, 2 yrs experience,or more than 3yrs experience but it doesnt necessarily mean na u will be granted a visa kasi separate entity sila(APHRA/DIBP/ANMAC) u must satisfy each category.

if u have less than 3yrs exp but atleast 2yrs paid exp u will do bridging=aphra registration=skills assessment=then visa 190.

hope u understand. yan din pathway k. PR visa na ako now victorian state sponsored 190.

@tooties Hello sis. I have to clarify. You are pertaining to nurses who are doing the bridging course. You need 3 years experience for that because you need more points to reach the minimum 60 points.

In our case with @janinlee we don't need experience because we have Australian study requirement which gives us enough points to apply for 189 visa and even a better chance for 190 visa. 190 state nomination here in NSW does not require any experience. As long as there is a positive skill assessment. A positive skills assessment means we passed the SOL requirement under 189/190 visa.

Experience is not required for NURSES who have studied BSN in Australia. Not unless you are doing the IRON bridging course then you are required to have EXPERIENCE to add more points for your application. :) just raising this out so that other people wont be confused.

@ninyeh Thank you for that clarification. I initially gave that info thinking what she was either a bridging course or a conversation course. But chatting with her furthur it was then I found out that what she had was a BSN course which has a different pathway.

Anyway, all the best and goodluck to everyone. Happy Holidays..
