Hello!ask ko lang kasi may narinig ako from our friend here in Melbourne na mag-iiba na yung "skill assessment" for nurses starting next FY.

@lilith They will cease the bridging program and have IQNMs to take exams instead and have an orientation as well. It states there that reducing the criteria will make the process faster. Have a read on the revised criterion. https://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Registration-and-Endorsement/International/Meeting-the-registration-requirements.aspx

@dy3p Hi, I don’t know anyone who transitioned from TV to PR but yung mga nagapply for Partner Visa from TV onshore allowed sila to work so I’m assuming it will be the same. Can’t be 100% sure though. Don’t forget about the “no further stay clause” din. .

@Rommel1982 hi, commenting on your post from 7 years ago. Hope that's okay, hehe

I'm planning to take bachelors of nursing conversion course, most likely 2 years kasi wala akong exp. As a nursing student, can I work as AIN/PCA na ba or should I get certifications pa to be able to work that job? Thanks so much!

@MARSY Hi, it really depends on the protocols of an institution/healthcare facility. Normally they'd require a certificate 3 in health services assistance if one doesn't have any background in nursing or hasn't work in a healthcare facility ever since. Some facilities will allow you provided you reach a certain level in your nursing course.

    No nursing experience:
    - Certificate 3 in health services assistance .

    With nursing experience:
    - depends on the institution. I personally know people who have worked in an aged care facility, who doesn't have a certificate 3 but has completed his nursing course overseas.

    Good day.

Ask ko lang po kung pwedeng mag pa assess sa AHPRA? Is it safe?Kahit sa early 2020 pa yung commencement ng OBA? I have read kasi sa nmba website na pwede as long as you comply sa current guidelines

    Thank you

@JB26 Inasmuch as wala pang clear steps/guidelines sa OBA, kung di mo naman balak humabol sa bridging, I would suggest na mag-antay na lang. Non refundable kasi ang application (AUD 170) at overseas assessment fees (AUD 400). Kung mabigyan ka ng Letter of Referral to BP at di mo rin naman gagamitin o magagamit dahil wala namang slots, sayang din.

Of course, wala namang sinasabi na hindi magagamit ang LOR sa OBA so it's part of the risk you may have to take.

@imau Kung valid pa ang visitor 600 visa, pwede pang gamitin yun para maghanap ng employer for 482 or pr sponsorship.

Hello po, my relative called aphra and sabi daw eh they no longer give LOR for bridging. Conversion is not my option kasi di kasya sa budget. So Im planning to take Certificate 3 or 4 thru SV while waiting for the new OBA to commence next year. Now, I want to ask for any opinion if okay lang bah na mag.paassess na ako sa Ahpra before applying student visa or mas recommended po na mag.apply ako sa ahpra only by the time when Im already studying for cert 3 or 4 in Australia.? Thanks in advance sa mga sasagot.

Hello, tanong ko lang po. Ano magiging process ng working visa? I got interviewed sa isang hospital during my placement. It's an employment offer pero ung visa ko kase wala pang working rights. Aware naman sila dun. Sabi, ifoforward daw sa HR ung documents then wait for my start date. Ung AHPRA registration ko po, in process palang. Thank you.

Certain processes may differ for each employer but I guess it is common that you will be provided with a an employer nomination form which you will need to fill up with your details and details of your dependent(s). You will provide your prospective employer with photocopies of your passport, IELTS and registration certificate.

After which, depending on the terms of employment, you will need to lodge your visa application either by yourself or the employer's HR or agent will process this for you..

@n3n_3pqln paki check po sa baba:
    WWCC:
-Just go online and see if you are eligible to apply for WWCC. Online lang din kasi yan. Below is sample link if under NSW, other states just search in google:
    https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check

Evidence of Vaccination & Serology Record:
-I got my vaccination records from my province (DOH)
-I also worked in SG so I got my vaccination records from the Hospital where I worked as well

    Police Check
-get a SG police clearance and NBI clearance
-if you have lived in a country for more than 1 year, you need to get a police clearance

@n3n_3pqln You can download, fill up and attach your vaccination documentation in this Vaccination Record Card if you intend to work in NSW. These are the common vaccination requirements for most states, I guess.
