@viperbuzz12 hi. may ptb din ako before. pero all cleared na. ask ko lng if nagpa medical ba kayo before kayo nagka CO or after na? if yes, saan kayong clinic nag pa medical at ano yung form ginamit since wla nman refferal from CO. please advice. thanks

Kung may history kasi at alam na may scar dapat declared agad. May difference ba eto kesa di mo declared at may makita silang scar. Mahirap kasi mag gamot ng tb kung scar nalang at matapang ang gamot pwede nya masira ang liver mo. Yan sabi sakin ng specialist ko dati. Well sana walang problema, usually sa mga employment pass exam ko dito ok nman sila kahit xray lang. Kaya dito ko din gusto magpamedical sa sg kesa sa pinas. I dont know baka may bearing din kung saan bansa ka nagpamedical.

Ask ko lang po, i dont know if its the right thread... nagkamali po kasi ako ng declaration for my husband dun sa question regarding tb, I answered "No". Fault ko din kasi hindi ko naitanong sa kanya, yun pala may scar din lungs nya..my question is, pwede pa po ba baguhin yung declaration ko or do i need to wait for the co before sya magpamedical? He's currently working overseas kasi, ako dito lang sa pinas so hindi kami sabay magpapamedical.. Kinakabahan po kasi ako baka maging grounds ng denial yun kasi mali ako ng nadeclare

Hello pinoyAU... i wanna share lng din my case sa health findings ko...hopefully anyone who bumps into this will help ease up your waiting time. i remember how anxious i was too so i know the feeling of worrying din about health issues. you can see thru our detailed timeline too.

basically, meron ako lung scars due to history of pneumonia in 2006 that eventually was diagnosed as bronchiectasis in 2008 (mild case lng though). incurable kasi eto..scarred for life na..but not contagious. so the MOC required i had to go thru sputum tests to test for TB even if i didnt have history ng TB (thru Paragon Medical clinic in SG) that costs quite a lot sadly. and we waited for 8 weeks total to get the final results. but it was all worth the wait to find out no TB active or any bacterial. the chest specialist already declared i'm fit to travel and stay in Australia finally.

tips: dont forget to bring your old xray films on the medical exam, i forgot to bring mine kasi so hindi nalaman ahead ng clinic (they didnt ask me too to bring for some reason). i didnt declare din ahead kasi all along i thought ok na lungs ko kasi im in good health condition naman since after 2008. so lesson learned din eto. but even if i brought the old xray films, i will likely need to go thru that sputum tests pa rin kasi matagal na yung 2008 na last xray ko.

so after completing all medical tests, i expected to get a Health undertaking form but the case officer didnt ask for it na and that long awaited golden email arrived last Monday. Praise God!!!

No sputum required. direct grant but with form 815 (which is expected). Point medical orchard. Parang 2 weeks ata or less. Yes nagmedical nko before CO

Tips:
1) Do your medical in SG/ other first world countries.

Sa pinas kasi automatic mag sputum test ka, kasi malamang i require ka rin ng Australia kaya inuunahan kana nila. In my personal opinion, they (MOH) believed that in third world countries (including pinas) chances of getting/ having inactive TB is high. For example, nakasakay kasa jeep, may uubo ubo na may tb, pwedeng nahawahan ka na nun. But depends on your immune system. Pwede ka magkasakit, pwedeng hindi. Ung bacteria kasi, pwede muna yakapin/locked ng white blood cells/ immune system kaya hindi ka magkakasakit (even decades) pero once bumagsak ang immune system mo, like matanda ka na pwede maging active. Thats why their on the safe side. It is still judgement call on their part, kaya pwede ka nila i pa sputum/ require mag undergo ng medications, etc. Kasi kahit magamot at gumaling ka, pwede ka ulit mahawa after.

2) If you know you have scar, and have PTB history declare it. I declared mine, and included the medical certification from my doctor way back 2006. Point medical/ rad tech didn't even care about my past/ old xray films.

The technique is that, show them that you know you have scar, and clean/ healed na in order to convince them. KApag kasi hindi mo diniclare, parang ung ginawa ng iba, and may nakita fibrosis/ hindi clean xray, and they don't know what is it, very big chance they require you to additional test (sputum), the worst medication. Pwedeng Makasira ng atay un gamit sa tb kapag sobra.

sa GCC countries lang nman mahigpit sa Scar. Kahit dito sa Singapore wala problema. sa pinas automatic na kapag may scar nag sputum na kasi matagal para iwas delay. malamang i require ka din nman nila. wala naman prob sa scar, di ka madedeny ng visa, pero madelay posible.

How many weeks after your medicals were submitted by the clinic were you asked to do a sputum test? Who will tell you to do it? The clinic or the CO?

hi guys, Im a little bit worried kasi si wife na diagnosed last Feb or Mar ng PTB and currently nagmemedication sya. I'm the primary applicant and my wife and my son is kasama ko sa nag apply for visa. I lodged the visa application last May 26. Hindi pa kami nagpapamedical kasi waiting pa ng advise ni agent. Natatakot kasi ako baka madelay yung visa grant dahil sa condition ng wife ko. Paano po ba normally pag ganitong case? need ba nya mag sputum test? Need your advise.

@ironman_gray22 nabasa ko dito sa forum tatapusin ung gamutan since on medication na cia.. tapos after nia makumpleto ung 6 months na gamutan.. magpapa-xray at sputum ulit para maclear cia..

Dont worry basta hindi active PTB.. naa-approve pa din ang visa.. basta matapos ang gamutan..

Asymptomatic ba cia? Spot lang sanlungs nakita or umuubo tlaga cia?

@raspberry0707, so need nya talaga tapusin yung 6 months na gamutan before sya magpaxray and sputum test ulit? haist tagal pa pala. Sorry hindi ko alam yung asymptomatic. Pero hindi naman na sya umuubo ubo.

Asymptomatic kung walang sign and symptoms ng PTB.. nakitaan lang sa x-ray ng spot sa lungs..

Kung may symptoms.. masakit likod, biglaan yung weight loss, umuubo, may blood sa phlegm etc.. active PTB un.. un ang iniiwasan ng Australia.. nakakahawa kse ung PTB.. dapat wala kang active PTB pag punta mo dun.. so kelangan ma-clear muna siya sa PTB nia..

Bago siya ngstart ng medication nag-xray siya at sputum d b? After medication ichicheck nila un kung may changes ba sa spot sa lungs at kung negative na ang sputum.. kaya mag-xray ulit yan at sputum test.. may culture pang gagawin na required sa Aus..

@raspberry, ah yun pala yung asymptomatic. Wala naman syang sign na mga ganon. may spot lang sa lungs nya. YUng last na xray nya mukhang okay naman based sa result nya. Thank GOD.

Yup meron syang sputum and xray before medication. Yung ika 3rd month nya nag xray ulit sya and improving naman. Sana lang maclear na sya after 6 months. mukhang matatagalan pa kami ah. Meron kayang impact yun sa akin at sa baby ko in terms of grant? ako kasi primary applicant. O sya yung madedelay?

@ironman_gray22 hindi nmn pala siya active na PTB so okay lang yan.. madedelay kaung lahat kse tatapusin ung treatment.. pero hindi ka madedeny ng dahil jan.. so dont worry.. once maclear ung wife mo.. nghihintay na ang grant para sa inyo..

Update ko lang yung sa case ng wife ko. Tapos na kami mag pamedical sa St. Lukes BGC last July 8. Dineclare namin yung current medication ng wife ko re sa PTB nya na nadiagnosed last Mar 19. After ng medical exam, nirefer sya sa St. Lukes Ermita kasi daw andun yung pulmonologist. Pinagsputum test sya and ngayon yung ika 3rd day nya. Sa monday meron ulit syang pulmonary evaluation sa DR. Kung icocontinue nya yung medication nya sa St. Lukes Ermita everyday kailangan daw pumunta dun para lang uminom ng gamot which is sobrang hassle. Di ko alam bakit kailangan ganon. Kasi Sept pa bago sya matapos. Haist nakakastress naman.

hello po, nagbabakasakaling may info pong makuha.. if ever po ba may problem sa x-ray mo tatawag n agad ung radiology clinic sayo or isusubmit muna nila ito sa DIBP tapos yung CO ang magsasabi sayo kung need ng further test? sana po may makapag enlighten. pero nakalagay po sa status ng emedical e completed n daw ung x-ray tpos pg kinlick ko ung get helth details na link, ang nakalagay e "All health examinations required for the specified visa subclass have been finalised. Processing of this person's visa application can now continue" pero wala po ako CO. thank you in advanced.

Pag ganyan ang nkalagay sa Get Health Details ibig sabihin cleared ka na sa medical exam.. kaya finalised na..

Intay ka n lang sa CO.. nsa 3rd to 4th week of May ng visa lodgement pa lang ung CO allocation.. kelan ka ba nglodge ng visa?

Ako nung May 21 nglodge.. kahapon lang ako ngka-CO.. around June 23 nafinalised ung medical namin ni hubby..

@ironman_gray22 Hi po! Sa case ko po, si husband na dependent ko suspected TB kya nagsputum test xa and negative nman but ksma sa procedure ang culture na 8 weeks. Ung end ng culture eh Aug 18 but ung class ko start ng july 27. Ang ginawa ni IDP agent ko ask nya manager nya magcall sa Embassy to ask ano na status ng application. The embassy gave us 2 options, wait ko lhat mtapus sputum culture but madefer na course ko or iwithdraw nlang dependent application ni hubby and re-lodge after matapus lhat chest analysis nya. withdraw ko nlang si hubby and after that nagrant na visa ko.

SInce skilled visa po ata kau, kpag ntapus po wife nyo medication and binigyan n xa ng certificate ng pulmonologist nya, usually po hihingi si CO na i fill-up nyo Health Undertaking form n nsa website din nila and clearance from ur wife's pulmonologist stating na you will cooperate in any follow-up test sa Australia. Then igagrant na nila visa nyo lhat. May nakausasp din po ako about this isa sa mga applicant dito sa forum na nagrant visa nila.

@bl_blitz mga mid or end of August cguro kau magkaka-CO.. usually 40-60 days ang waiting time for CO.. alam ko iba ung may hawak nung sa eMedical.. parang may nabasa ako dati na Global Health.. pagka-check nila.. sina-submit lang din nila yun sa DIBP para mkita ng CO ung medical clearance.. habang naghihintay prepare nio n ung mga documents na posibleng irequest na wala sa required documents..

Pero nakausap nya rin yung doctor and pwede naman daw nya ituloy yung medication nya kahit hindi sa St Lukes Ermita basta yung private doctor is magbigay ng medical cert after ng 6 months medication. YUng nurse lang daw nagsasabi sa kanya na lipat na daw sya sa ST lukes Ermita.

@aiayosef, I think yung decision mo na iwithdraw muna si husband is a good choice para di maapektuhan yung visa mo. Anyway, yes skilled visa inaapplyan ko (189). Actually may concern lang ako. In case na magnegative ang smear (tomorrow) and culture result (8 weeks/Sept 3rd week) nya need pa kaya nya mag sputum ulit after nya matapos medication nya (last week of Sept)? Sana hindi na, kasi kung need nya ulit magpa sputum test then another 8 weeks ulit aantayin.
