    Hi @sunflower ,

Salamat sa mga response mo dito regarding ECE, it's been very helpful learning thru this thread.

Ask ko lang po, my wife is a BA-Psych grad and acquired additional units para maka pag teach, naka pasa sa Teacher's Board and have been teaching Nursery class for 15 yrs., in short, hindi siya ECE grad but with experience.

So with AITSL's requirement on Skills Assessment na kailangan ECE grad, she had taken University classes (compressed class schedule, hindi 4 years though kase pang MA na curriculum, hopefully comparable sa 4-year requirement), basically this year pa lang siya mag graduate. So medyo ok na ito for Skills Assessment hopefully.

Then here comes the Skilled Employment statement requirement, can she use her previous 15 yrs. experience (with complete AISTL letter requirements) regardless if this was before getting her ECE diploma?

    Maraming salamat po!

No problem! I am mainly responding through my own personal experiences as well, and since your wife's situation is different from mine, I don't think I'll be able to be of much help. To give you an honest opinion though, I would suggest that you submit the documents to AITSL and they will make the call on whether your wife's qualifications plus 15 years of experience would be equivalent. Good luck! :)

Yes, they are both needed. Your Skills Assessment Certificate is an evidence of the equivalence of your degree, while the Skilled Employment Certificate is an evidence that you have worked in the field of your nominated occupation. :)

    TIA.

The practicum certificate should be from university, in your university's official letterhead. Also, you can pay for AITSL through credit card payment. There is a section on the last page of the AITSL form for you to write your credit card details. Good luck! :)

Hi, would any of you have a sample certification letter for the supervised teaching practice. As my girlfriend's school has not had one ask for it before so they do not have a format for it (yes, it is a small school so I would not be surprised). Thank you in advance

    Hi @bourne ,

Based on the skilled migration booklet, the English language test result form submitted FOR MIGRATION PURPOSES would be different from the language test result required by AITSL.

The latter is used to assess the suitability of candidates for teaching in Australian schools while the former is a general requirement for language proficiency REGARDLESS of test type, provided it's one of those accepted ( IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, OET, CAE) for points-based migration. Thus, the PTE language test result form you submit to IMMI is viewed as a separate document as opposed to the test result used by AITSL as basis for granting you the suitability certificate. IMMI will be concerned in only as far as whether the assessing body governing your nominated skill had expertly assessed your qualifications, including your language level REQUIRED to be suitable and employable in your field and within he context of Australia.

Hope this isn't too late for a response!!

Cheers to all teachers giving Australia a go!!

    hi sa lahat,

just want to get more information on behalf of my sister who wants to come over here and her nominated occupation would be secondary school teacher or baka meron dito na same situation nya or any inputs sa mga teachers na nagpa-assess.

    1. she finished a bachelor of science course sa pinas (non-education) then she studied education units (2 semesters) to sit for PRC teacher exam. Nung time na nag-aaral xa ng educ units nagwo-work na xa as full time teacher sa private school so hindi xa nag practice teaching. Also, ung university na pinag-aralan nya ng educ units, hindi sila ni-require mag practice teaching. Ung practice teaching required lang daw dun sa mga BS education students.

As per AITSL, required ung practice teaching element for a successful assessment. Based sa sitwasyon ng sis ko, pwede kaya na humingi xa ng certificate from university at depende kiung willing ung university na magbigay ng certificate na nung time na nag-aaral xa e nagtuturo na xa so technically na-fulfill na nya ung practice teaching element. yun nga lang, kpag tiningnan ung transcript nya sa educ units, dapat na nakalagay sa subject ung practicum?

Thanks sa mga magco-comment. We were trying our best to find a way for her to be here with me sa Australia for a PR visa as a teacher kc expensive kpg nag student visa xa. Natanggal kc sa SOL recently ung occupation nya so mejo limited na ung chances. cheers!

I'm Australian in paper but pinoy in form....Living in the most liveable city in the world...Melbourne! Oi, oi, oi!!!

    Hi good morning.

Ask ko sana if hindi mo na meet ung required band ng IELTS, hindi ba makakakuha ng positive assessment sa AITSL?

Meron ba dito sa Pinas pwede magpa assess ng documents?

Sana matulungan nyo ako. Salamat. :)

Hi there @sjregalado91, parang hindi yata tatanggapin ng AITSL if hindi IELTS (Academic) ang sinumbit. It has to be IELTS Academic module for their assessment together with other relevant documents. AITSL lang din ang pwede mag-assess ng documents for Teachers. Hope this answered your question. All the best.

This is seriously helpful. Just learned about this from a longer thread. @kindred , does this mean that I can submit another EOI bearing the result of a PTE-A exam, even if AITSL used my IELTS result for my skill assessment?

BY THE WAY, I already submitted my EOI with 75 points. I plan of making my score higher with hopefully a better english test result using PTE.

Just want to make sure that this is possible.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

Just wanted to ask if anyone who applied with AISTL as a Special Needs Teacher was successful, despite having a non-educ undergrad?
My undergrad was in Psychology but I'm taking a Masters in Special Needs at MC (which has the right amount of practicum hours naman).

Anyone with a similar experience in applying with AISTL?
Would those be enough to be granted an AITSL Special Needs Teacher qualification?

    Good evening! From the Philippines.

I just want to ask some questions for guidance kasi I'm planning to teach in Australia next year, 2023.

I'm a graduate po ng Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in General Education and I'm currently finishing my Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational Management. I did my practicum sa Grade 6 which is probably nagrarange ang age from 10-12. I have four years teaching experience. 2 years sa elementary school and 2 years sa university. I am also a licensed teacher here in the Philippines. With this qualifications po, satingin niyo po saan ako magkaproblema for skills assessment ng AITSL. Maraming salamat po sa makatulong.

Hello po. Asking for my sister-in-law
    she's 34 .

    1) Completed bachelors and masters in Education
    2) 2yrs private school (no sss, pag ibig to prove) grades 4-6, all subjects
    3) Public school teacher for almost 9yrs for grades 7-10, Filipino subjects

Ang target sana is to become an Early Childhood Teacher para mabilis ma PR. Ano po kaya ang best pathway for her?

    1) Study Masters in Early Childhood?
    2) Study Diploma in Early Childhood & Care then take Bachelors?
    3) Take skills assessment from AITSL as secondary school teacher (does she qualify?)
    4) Or meron pong ibang pathway na hindi listed dito?

    Salamat po sa makakasagot. 😄🙏

Hello po! I'm planning to try this path din po. Initially, ang plano namin ni hubby is mag eenroll ako sa uni to take master's degree. Pero nakakahinayang kasi, sobrang mahal. Licensed teacher ako sa PH, Bachelor in Elementary Education major in Special Education yung undergrad program ko. May 2 years experience ako in teaching primary students (Grade 1-3 sa PH). Meron din po akong Graduate Diploma in Language and Literacy Education. Tsaka may special teaching license din po ako dito sa Japan (Senior HS level). Ang main problem ko is yung IELTS. Just like others, nahihirapan akong makakuha ng 8 sa speaking. Nagtake ako before ng IELTS General pero 6.5 lang speaking ko noon. The other bands nakakuha ako ng 7.5 or 8.

Do you think i-push ko yung PR path agad, wag na lang mag aral sa AU? May chance po kaya ako? Salamat po.
