Almost 12 months din yung citizenship process ko. Nag-file ako November 2020, tapos nag-exam ng May 2021, inabutan ng lockdown sa Sydney tapos nag-ceremony na rin last week. Online lang yung ceremony though

consider yourself lucky, kami since Nov 2020 update.
But i suggest, email them for a virtual ceremony since may issue uli ng new variant.
sa website, in 7-9 months dapat may ceremony ka na from date of approval

yes, Melb din.. so far, Sept 2020 and earlier yung mga makakareceive daw ng test invites for Dec-Jan test dates, so baka mga mga Feb tayo hopefully..

i ask immig officer about renewing passport before lodging citizenship app, at kung kailangang current ang passport during interview/test day, she said, no need.

wala daw requirement na dapat current ang passport.

may i ask has anybody changed their name (removed the middle name - maiden surname) just before the citizenship exam or before the citizenship approval (just after passing the test) ? i am aware there's a process, payment and a document to upload.. but not sure how to do that? how do i apply for change of name ?

Hello everyone.. meron po ba dito na recently lang naging citizen and nag-apply ng Australian Passport?

Gaano katagal before nyo na-receive passports nyo?

8 weeks na since nag-apply ako ng Au passport, until now 'Under Assessment' pa din....

I know na there could be heaps of new/renewal applications since nag-open ang border... pero grabe naman yung 2 months wala pa din.... then wala namang sumasagot sa call centre nila

Hello po, kakatapos lang ng citizenship exam ko pero tinanong po ako ng officer about my names sa au driver licence and passport. Sa driver licence po kasi wala na ang middle name ko (last name ng mother). Its either magpa change name daw ako para yung walang middle name ang ilagay sa citizenship cert or ipabago ko lahat ng IDs ko dito sa au para ilagay ang middle name from ph. May naka exp po ba nito and ano po ang advisable thing to do? Salamat po sa sasagot

Not in the stage of getting citizenship yet, still waiting for PR, pero I think it would be best na consistent yung IDs mo and it should include everything. Yung change name as far as i know would need to be backed up by a good reason but best to check if this should be done in AU or PH and what the law requires.

Thank you po. Parang naisip ko kasi change name na lang dito para idrop ang middle name ko kaso nagtry ako sa bdm nsw eh parang wala naman ako kasi record na may middle name ako rito sa australia. In my case, most of my legal documents ko wala din middle name (mother's maiden surname). However, in the citizenship interview (before citizenship test) they asked why some of my documents did not have my middle name. The officer told me that they will be using my full name as seen in my ph passport as this was my name on their record.

Hi @Abby_ we got our citizenship appointment sent last week 21 Jan, lodged 05 July. Ang schedule ko is 17 Mar 2022. My application is also still in "Received" status but got the email last week. Try to check your immi. Thanks.
