Yeah I get that. That’s one of the reasons why he/she can’t be both. That’s 2x the cost. Best to refer the tasks on Anzsco code. If he/she’s doing both then chem tech might be more appropriate but then there’s only limited information provided. I’ve had a case where the applicant did a DIY for chemist and got a negative outcome. I took over from there and re-applied for chem tech. She’s now in Australia! Salamat po for clarification. Naisip ko lang na magkaroon ng options since fit po ako sa dalawang occupations. In my case po, nakapag-asess na ako for chem tech two years ago at na grant ko naman ang approval. But during that year, special nomination na agad after few days and then the following year ay hindi nagbukas kaya napaso lang ang assesment ko. Now, I plan to resubmit again but for chemist position dahil yun po ang open sa ngayon. May chance po ba na maapprove kung itry ko ang Chemist kahit po may record na po ako ng Chem tech approval before? Or magstick na po ako sa Chem Tech then, magwait po ako 'til mag-open ulit this year?

It all depends on the tasks that you will present. They have to match the Chemist tasks. Good luck!

There is always a way mga kapwa kimiko just plan everything and act on it. Hope to bump with one of you here in SA in the future.

Offshore applications are not prioritised for this financial year (July 2020-June 2021) due to covid situation but it doesn’t mean you should wait until restrictions are lifted for you to start the process. Your aim right now is to be document ready so that you’re ready to lodge your nomination application straight away once things go back to normal.

Thank you so much for your response! I hope you can help me with the list of requirements and things to do in the application. I just know that I need to take IELTS for english proficiency test, then VETASSES for the skill assesment and then when okay na ang points ko, I can lodge a EOI. I hope tama yung sinasabi ko po. Hello po update lang po... as we checked my chem tech assesment sa vetasses, ay valid pa pala until August this year so I will try pa din ang chem tech we plan to renew it. I also took pte and got proficient result.
Tanong ko lang po kung pwede na po bang mag lodge kahit close pa ang chem tech?

You need po muna na mag renew to see if you're qualified to gain points. Dun din naman mag babase ang EOI mo. We cannot declare any information without proof.

Good day po, would like to ask anyone who was granted a positive skills assessment with a position as analyst in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company? Nahire po ako as Quality Control Analyst but only worked for 2 years in that position kasi napromote as QC/lab supervisor (around 1.5 yrs lang) then napromote ulit last February as Assistant Manager, all in the same company. Can I still apply for the chemist occupation? I have many doubts sa description ko kasi may ma-match sa Industrial Pharmacist. Hope someone can help me. Newbie pa lang ako dito Thanks in advance

Hi @Jonnyv , sa pharma din ako after grad (Laboratory Analyst). Pero yung initial na claim ko na halos 4years ay binawasan pa ni Vetasses ng 1yr (yung first year ko bilang analyst kasi di pa daw ako qualified during those times). Tapos yung isang job ko bilang Sales and Applications Chemist ay negative talaga assessment nya, so 0year ako doon. Importante na yung mga tasks mo tlga ay ksama or closely related dun sa ANZSCO tasks.

Hi @Jonnyv , 3yrs and 7mos po claim ko pero yung number of years assessed positively lang po ay 2yrs7mos kasi daw yung first year ko ay parang "qualifying period" required to meet the skill level of the nominated or closely related ANZSCO occupation. Yes po sa QA Laboratory ako that time.

If you are applying for 189 or 190, less than 3yrs ay 0 points. Baka mahirapan ka mainvite. Usually nagbabawas din ang Vetassess ng work experience, sa akin around 2 yrs ang hindi nacredit. Yung unang work ko.

I don’t see why not. Check also if your duties match chemistry technician. I had a client before who came to me with a negative outcome for chemist. I suggested to step down and use chemistry technician as it’s almost always easier to get a positive outcome that way. She’s in Australia now and we’re currently assisting her sister to migrate to Australia.

With regards to 2 years employment, that’s fine if 2 years lang. you’ll accumulate points over time. The important thing is you’re already on the EOI queue and on standby in case ma-invite. Your occupation isn’t as competitive as other professions and likely the criteria to be invited ie points isn’t as tough as other occupations.

It’s all about strategy. I always tell people if you see now you may be eligible, then there’s no point delaying your migration journey.

nag apply ako ng 190 last 2020 march but until now wala pa rin invite kahit 80 points na ako. mag e expire na rin EOI next month. nag submit ako ng ROI sa NSW riverina last month but so far no invites pa rin mababawasan na ako ng 10 points next after Sept 2022 kasi..
