Our agent told us to focus lang sa mga work scope mo na relevant sa job skill na pinapaassess mo. Nagegets kita kasi like you, i was doing more than just drafting sa work ko dati sa SG.

Suggestion ko lang is do your own content ng COE. Unahin mo yung mga workscope relevant to architectural draftsperson skills and break it up into bullets, then later on dagdag mo na lang yung mga ibang responsibilities and then get either your boss or HR to endorse it for you (kung sino mas mas ka close mo sa kanila).

Kasi kapag ikaw gumawa ng draft ng COE, you can manipulate your other responsibilities and relate it drafting. For ex, site supervision, you can say "visit the construction site to gather data and information in order to produce a more accurate construction/tender drawings."

@layao2002 Thank you for a clear explanation. Nabawasan ang worry and confusion ko about COE and JD. May nabasa kasi ako dito previously rejected by Vetasses because of job description. For that reason I am afraid to send my application for assessment. Yan nalang kasi and pending ko detailed JD. Anyway I will follow your suggestion. Many thanks.

That's not an issue. Skills ang pinapaassess, hindi position.

Btw, Senior level na rin ako sa work ko before sa SG.

You can put this line sa COE mo;

Meron po ba ditong katulad ko na hindi mapa-taas yung kanilang IELTS and stuck at 60 points without SS and ayaw pansinin ni NSW?

Naisip nyo po bang mag apply nalang sa TAS? Eligible naman tayong 312111 doon eh.

Comment your thoughts po please, I don't want to lodge an EOI there and later find out na I made a mistake.

@kaidenMVH Actually PTE po ako. IELTS 7 ang katumbas. Eh nag exam ako ulit, same result. So parang medyo na down ako and tingin ko hanggang dun lang ako. Kaya sa tingin ko ngayon I'm stuck.

@kpantig18 na try mo na mag PTE? madami na nakakuha ng mataas na mark sa PTE na di makuha sa IELTS. i think for TAS without job offer yun 489 visa ang pd applyan. maybe you can research about TAS regarding the job market and what they can offer. you can only apply for 190 if you have a job offer from a TAS based employer.
Personally , i still think na you should try to get higher points sa English proficiency. si @curiousmom, @ceasarkho pero nga nakapag visa lodge na at may ITA na respectively.

I just want to ask about syllabus.. same lang ba yun ng transcript? Now ko lang nakita need pala yun. No idea about syllabus. Kasi sa transcript ko indicated na yun subject and units.,Help nman po. Thanks.

Hi, forum newbie here. First of all thank you po sa mga advice and suggestions ng lahat dito, nakatulong po kayo para maintindihan ko yung process to migrate.

Since may nagbanggit na minsan nababawasan yung kine-credit na work experience sa assessment ng VETASSESS, alam nyo po ba kung alin dun sa work experience nyo yung hindi nila binibilang? Yung internship na required after graduating from college and before taking the board exam, did they count that as part of your "skilled" work experience, or only the years after passing the boards?

And worth it po ba kumuha ng Certificate of Employment or Statement of Service for a part-time job (where I worked for 8 months, but more than 20 work hours per week)? Will VETASSESS count that as 8 months of work experience, or 4 months lang (because of part-time status)?

@TotoyOZresident Sir good day..baguhan lng dito, mgtatanong lang po..Nagapply po kasi ako ng assessment s VETASSES for Archi draftsperson. problema is lahat ng experience ko Architect ang job dposition gusto ko sana ibaba kasi mahirap mgpa asses s AACA. di kaya mgkaproblem kapa ang job position is Architect but ang job description is for draftsman which is un talag ubng job responsility ko s middle east.? salamat in advance s feedback.

@athelene usually work before graduation or during schooling is not recognize by vetasses wether its full time or par time. They recognize however certain amount of years of work After School completion and BEFORE having a professional license as a skill acquisition and whole period of experience as a license professional. In short po after graduation onwards lang po ang binibilang plus minus. Hope nakatulong po ito.

@jerson Sir halos lahat po kmi dito sa Forum either Architect or mas mataas pa pero pare pareho po asssessment as Architectural Draftsman. ok lang po yan basta mag paprima lang po kayo sa company nyo ng statutory or job description highlighting drafting works. backread lang po kayo as highlighted by previous comments here. hope nakatulong.

@athelene kahit Part Time (after grad) better to take COE from your employer...serve as Proof / document parin cia na ma add sa work experience mo... but like @hi po said.. After Grad ung cocount nila...

also if I recall correctly meron dun sa VETASSESS na bibilangin mo how many hours ang work mo dun sa specific Company kung san ka nag work... even how much pero hour ung salary.

Hello mga Ma'am & Sir,
Thanks at may ganitong forum pra sating mga nagbabalak magbakasakali sa OZ. At mabuti naman na marami kaming nakukuhang mga kasagutan sa forum nato. Mukang halos lahat dito ay nasa SG.
Anyway, gusto ko lang po humingi ng opinion regarding sa pag papaassess; gaya po ng karamihan dito, isa din po akong lisensyadong arkitekto at ngayn ay nagtatrabaho dito sa SG. May ilang taon nadin po akong nagtatrabaho at nanggaling nadin po ako sa UAE. Sa ngayn ang trabaho ko dito sa SG ay nasa linya ng Interior Design, at ngayon ay nasa 8 yrs nako. Iniisip ko po kung anung skill po ba ang ipapaassess ko, as Archi Draftsperson or Interior Design? Un mga naunang trabaho ko po bago ako mapunta ng SG, ay nasa linya po ng Arkitekto.
Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat at pagpalain tayo sa ating pakikibaka.

Hello po mga fellow arki!! Thankful ako kasi may mga ganitong forum at madami akong natutunan. Tulad ng karamihan, planning din po ako to migrate sana jan sa aus this year. Nagtake narin po ako ng ielts and so far ok naman po yung scores ko (obs 7.5) Tanong ko lang po, may mga nag try na po ba dito na mag apply online habang nasa pinas ang nabigyan ng employer sponsorship visa?? Tntry ko po kasi mag apply online habang andito pa ako sa pinas hoping na makukha ng work. Or mas masusugest nyo po ba nag mag migration agency nalang ako then saka ako mag apply pag may visa na ako for au?? Maraming salamat po!!!

Ah oki, so counted yung work experience after grad and before licensure. Noted po, tingnan ko po kung makakakuha ako ng CoE sa dating part-time job ko. Sana pag nagpa-assess maisama nga yun sa years of experience.

Tanong ko lng din po sa mga nakapagmigrate na as Architectural Draftsperson... madali po ba makahanap ng job as Architectural Technician/Architect? At meron po ba sa inyo nag-aral pa (i.e. Master of Architecture) after makapagmigrate in order to qualify for APE?

@athelene i think meron naman mga success stories na regarding sa profession natin upon migrating sa AU. i have a Uni classmate working in Mirvac now and mukhang ok naman position nya dun. He also got relatives in the industry holding good position in other companies. nag start sya sa Adelaide then moved to Sydney couple of years ago. Yun isang kung classmate choosed to be a chef hehehe. nasa Brisbane naman sya.

@kaidenMVH mukhang marami nga ang success stories na draftsperson ang pathway para makapasok. Na-excite tuloy akong gayahin kayong lahat at sumubok magmigrate hehehe. Research lang muna ako ng maigi habang naghihintay na maging eligible for the PR visa.

@athelene Arki grad ka rin ba pinas???architectural draftperson sana ang gusto ko pathway kaso ang problema ang experience ko sa work is construction estimator with 8years experience, im 33 years old now at wala akong mahanap sa province sponsorship na kailangan nila ng estimator...isa pa kung magpapaassess ng "Construction Estimator" sa VETASSESS papasa kaya ako kung akong ang course is BS Architecture and RLA sa pinas???Kaya ang naisip ko na lang na way is to get student visa and take Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural)...tama kaya ang desisyon ko?

@Graff Yes, archi grad po ako. Upon checking Anzscosearch, wala nga po ang estimator sa 189 or 190, siguro po hindi gaano in-demand ito sa Australia. As estimator po ba talagang estimates lang po ginagawa nyo o nagddraft din po kayo? Kasi balita ko po kasi kahit iba po ang position mo (meaning hindi draftsperson) pero yung main responsibilities mo ay matching sa draftsperson tasks, pwede mo po i-nominate ang Architectural Draftsperson.

I think there's no sense of having your credentials and work experience assessed as Construction Estimator kung walang magssponsor for you for 190/489 visa. Wala na rin po kasi ang 457 visa (employer sponsored) so malabo po yung pathway to PR as estimator.

In the past 10 years po, wala po kayong work experience as draftsperson/designer? Baka sakali po may mga drafting responsibilities kayo na pwede ipa-assess for the draftsperson occupation.

Yung Building Design po ay iba sa Architecture, more of documentation siya and for smaller-scale projects (residential). Kung draftsperson po talaga ang gusto niyong pasukin, pwede naman po. See this link.

@athelene General contracting for kami pero ang scope is to estimate boq between division 3 up to division 10 po ng CSI Format. Di naman po pure estimate ang ginagawa sometimes I need to make proposal designs, drafting works and 3d renderings pero minsanan lang pag kinakailangan. Pero mainly and duty ko is to estimate projects.

In the past 10 years po, meron ako experience sa Qatar pero 9 months lang yun and ang ginawa ko lang is mag as-built plan ng MEP works. Sa pinas meron ako experience sa isang company, CAD operator po ako at ang gingawa ko is to draft architectural works. After that, nandito na ako sa Saudi and mag 8 years bilang isang Architect/Estimator sa company this coming July and planning to stay up to next year July na lang po.

Kaya naisip ko po na mag aral na lang pero I don't know what course ang kukunin ko talaga.
Isa po sa gusto kong pasukin is to become Architectural Draftperson pero meron pang ibang choices ok lang din naman at yun po ang di ko alam sa ngayon...Gusto kong mag aral pero di ko sigurado na magagamit ko ito sa pag aapply ng PR sa AU? Iniisip ko mag aral din ng Quantity Surveying since ang experience is more on estimates..

Any advise po?

@Graff I see. From your experience kasi mas solid ang estimating experience mo, so makakakuha ka ng mas maraming points when it comes to overseas work experience. Typically sa skills assessment nagbabawas sila ng 1 year, which they may classify as your "unskilled" year. If you will go with the skilled migration route directly (instead of studying),
you can try nominating Quantity Surveyor, which is under the engineering ANZSCO code 233213 and is actually eligible for 189/190 (except VIC and WA)/489 visa. Try to have your overseas work experience assessed for Quantity Surveyor occupation, and hopefully at least 9 years yung work exp mo para kung sakali bawasan ng AIQS ng 1 year, you will still meet the 8-year work experience to get 15 points.

As they say, yung nominated occupation mo for migration isn't necessarily the occupation na pwede mo lang gawin sa Australia once you get there. It's just a pathway para makapasok at makakuha ng PR. So if you still want to study Building Design and work as an Architectural Draftsperson after you get your PR visa, pwede po yun. Sa palagay ko po kasi parang mas madali kung yung estimating experience nyo ang gamitin nyo para magmigrate instead of architectural drafting, since mas matagal po yung work experience nyo as estimator than draftsperson.

Kung gusto nyo po naman na tumuloy ng aral ng Quantity Surveying after getting PR visa, pwede rin po. Kung naghahabol po kasi kayo ng points for migration (like sa age cutoff), mas ok na mag-apply nalang kayo ng PR visa instead of studying bago mag-apply for PR.

@athelene Gusto na po talaga magpa assess sa AIQS kaso ang problema may na nabasa ako na quotes sa website nila na " Other engineering degrees such as mechanical, electrical or software are not considered as allied disciplines" and " qualifications are assessed first, followed by your work experience. If you do not hold suitable qualifications, then your whole assessment will not be considered suitable."
Medyo nag aalangan ang magpa assess dahil po dyan. Isa pa yung Manager ko is not a member of AIQS and he graduated as an Architecture Course din po.

Naabutan na po ako ng Age cut off because I'm now 34 years old this coming May.
