Skilled Migration Changes:
The skilled migration points test will change from November 16, 2019. The changes will affect subclass 491 applicants as well as applications for other skilled migration visas that have not been assessed at that time (but only in a way that is beneficial for applicants, by providing additional points). The new points details are:
– 15 points for nomination by a State or Territory government agency or sponsorship by a family member residing in regional Australia, to live and work in regional Australia;
– 10 points for a skilled spouse or de facto partner;
– ** 10 points for certain Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) qualifications;**
– 5 points for a spouse or de facto partner with ‘competent English’;
– 10 points for applicants without a spouse or de facto partner.

Archl draftsman sk ID. since sarado ang Archl nung time n ngpaassess kme. sa ID kme npunta. dun ko ngayon nilaro ung work ref base s description at duties ng anzco. ang inportante mkapsok k at maassess k n positive. pgdtng nmn ng aus pede k mgapply ng mas mataas n position o back to the same position k gaya ngyn.

What are the chances po na makapag apply as architect for visa 189? Is it higher points, credentials, etc?
I'm trying to decide what I can go for, visa 189 or 190 (as arch'l draftsman).
Thank you po sa sasagot.

Sa mga nagtatanong kung pwede mga architecture graduates from the Philippines to apply under the Architect occupation on a 189 visa:
Almost close to impossible po yan unless the AU assessing body for architects (AACA) has allayed their requirements for overseas qualifications. Simply, our curicculum/ syllabus/ scope of architectural studies is not equivalent to that of Australia's. Your work experience local/overseas, no matter how long, won't make up for that "deficit". Mapapagastos ka ka lang and in the end be given a negative assessment. Thus, most go for other archi-related occupations such as draftsmen (archi, civil, etc.) or ID whichever is available (usually state-sponsored visas 190/489) because you will be assessed by a different body whose qualifications are "gentler" for us PH-Architecture graduates. This has been the case for years. Basahin niyo po mga previous threads about this topic for further reading.
TLDR; Unless you studied from an AACA-recognized university abroad and took a full architecture course, then you won't likely get into Australia under the Architect occupation.

salamat po sa response, ayun nasagot nyo na din po yung supposedly next question ko. so ang safest way is to apply for 190 or 489 as architectural draftsperson. ibig sabihin po ba kapag architectural draftsperson, matic na 190 or 489 sya? makakatulong po ba kung may relative (Uncle/Aunt) sa Australia para maka apply ng Visa?

@Arch_Jay88888
Most of the time, if not all the time, ang mga draftsperson ay under 489/190 visas. An Uncle/Aunt can sponsor you as long as they reside in that designated/regional areas. So say, if he lives in QLD he/she can only sponsor you for a 489 visa in QLD if I'm not wrong.
Btw, ma-aabolish na 489 visa and will be replaced with a new type in a few months. So you better check and read up on the new visas.

> @Arch_Jay88888 agree po ako dun na mhirap pumasok na Arkitekto sa Aus. ang sb ng agent dti 6 years study pa ang req nl pr makapasok k. pero importante lng nmn mkpasok k. kme po both archi pero sa ID kme ngpasa.
Hi! Nung nagpa-assess po kayo as ID sa vetasses, nag deduct po ba sila sa years or experience? Being that your degree is different from the occupation nominated?
