sa 189 maghihintay ka ma-invite. Kapag 190 need mo separate mag-apply sa website ng state na pinili mo.
Kapag na-approve yung state sponsorship, automatic makakarecieve ka ng invitation to apply 190 visa.

Hi people. Manghihingi lang sana na opinions on what you think is better. Eto yung situation namin.

Nakuha na na ni hubby ang IELTS results nya, OBS 6 so zero points sya dun sa points system pero pasok sya sa minimum IELTS requirement ng Engineers Australia for Skills Assessment. Currently, with the IELTS score na 6, we have 55 points. Ang suggestion ng agent namin is to either 1.) Go for State Sponsorship to get additional 5 points to make the minimum 60point requirement OR 2.) Retake the IELTS to try to get a higher score and use those new results to submit for visa application.

Sabi din ng agent namin is we can use the previous IELTS score, yung 6 na OBS to submit to Engineers Australia skills assessment para daw tumatakbo na daw yung bola na yun. Kasi nga sa site nila dba 16 weeks ang assessment. Tapos we can submit the second results (if we decide to take it a second time and hopefully higher score na) for the visa application para instead of subclass 190, pwede na kme sa subclass 189. Different entities naman daw kse ang Engineers Australia and ang immigration so it doesn't matter kung magkaiba ang mga results.

What do you think is better? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, use that IELTS score for the engineer assessment, then retake the exam afterward. Pag nag file kayo ng EOI, puwede nyo na gamitin yung second (hopefully one with a better IELTS score) to file.

@AnnieIngles , no problem. Sa akin, I can still make changes to EOI. I think as long as di ka pa nakapag file, you can continuously update the information.

@Jeffrey for claiming of points under skill select your assessment from ACS is a must, you need to do it first because you cannot lodge your EOI if you won't do that part, you must provide evidence that your skills have been assessed as suitable for your nominated occupation by the relevant assessing authority and your assesing body is the only one that can answer your question accurately both for your Education and work qualification in regard with claiming of points. From there you can claim points according to the result of your assessment and your IELTS exam.

However you can claim: Age: 30points lets say you scored of at least 7 on each of the four components of speaking, reading, listening and writing in an IELTS test: 10 points. For Skill: In skilled employment for at least five but less than eight years (of the past 10 years) 10 points. You may fall under Qualifications at least a bachelor degree from an Australian educational institution or other degree of a recognised standard which is 15 points or an award or qualification recognised by the assessing authority in the assessment of the skilled occupation 10 points only. I think you can claim at least 60 points, just my own assessment lang po.

    sub-tests.)

@kremitz I think you will be assess as comparable to the educational level of an AQF Diploma. Although you can still claim 10 points for that. My brother graduated from University of the East Caloocanwhich falls under section 3 and the result of his assessment with Vetassess was equivalent of an AQF Diploma only.

Hi, am still concerned about ACS and actua visa application. If ACS confirmd that i have an AU equivalent degree (section 1 school) and i have actual 6 years work experience in my field. Will ACS see it as 4 years relevant work experience after the 2 years deduction and the actual Visa application will still see it as 6 years? Ayaw ko kasi magkamali when claiming points. Can anyone please enlighten? Thank you po :)

Thank you po :)
kung anu ang nakalagay sa assessment result mo from ACS yun ang susundin mo to claim your points..

at yun din ang susundin ng DIAC for verifying your points on the visa application..
    - so kung nakalagay na AU degree equivalent
    - and 4 yrs relevant work ( deducted 2 yrs because of ACS rules)

    then yan ang i-claim mo..

    - if you will change occupation, of course kailangan mo magpa-assess ulit
    - if ever maging available ulit ang 1st occupation mo, eh di un ang isubmit mo sa EOI
    - actually pwede ka nmn gumawa ng 2 EOI, with 2 different occupation codes (assuming na pasado ka sa assessment pareho)

    - ang mga dates ng documents mo, eh important if its your current occupation..
-example, COE dated jul 2013, but you are still employed with that company, so dapat updated sya..
