STI Caloocan falls under CEP Sec 3, ang bachelor's degree po e equivalent po sa AQF Diploma. Yung grades po e kinoconsider lang kung under CEP Sec 2 ung school. Well, lahat po e depende pa din sa case officer. May mga considerate na case officer na kahit under Sec 3 ung school e tinatanggap pa din na AQF Bachelor’s degree.

@xiaomau82 saan mo nakuha yun info mo? Not that I doubt what you're saying. I'm just curious because, ACS hasn't been very transparent regarding how they assess degrees. Nor have I seen any official info re school secs.

This information is non specific of the skills Assessing body. You will need to refer to the Australia Country Education Profile (CEP). CEP is a list of Universities in a specific country (e.g. Philippines) https://aei.gov.au/Services-And-Resources/Services/Country-Education-Profiles/about-cep/Pages/default.aspx

Unfortunately, an access is required for you to see the complete list.

So i have prepared for you a basic guideline, see below:

Section 1 – Leading and autonomous institutions
Section 2 – Deregulated and re-accredited institutions
Section 3 – Other institutions

Universities under CEP Section 2 with a

1. Bachelor’s degree qualification from the Philippines
4 years full-time
120-185 credits
Average grade of 1.00 to 2.00, (A to B, or more than 85%)

Is equivalent to AQF Bachelor Degree

2. Bachelor Degree qualification from the Philippines
4 years full-time
120-185 credits
Average grade of 2.00 to 3.00 (below B, or below 85%)

Is equivalent only to AQF Advanced Diploma

Universities under CEP Section 3 with a

1. Bachelor Degree
4 years full-time
120-185 credits

Is equivalent only to AQF Diploma

2. Bachelor Degree in a professional discipline
4 or 5 years full-time
120-200 credits
Evidence of passing the Professional Regulation Commission’s Licensure Examinations in the relevant professional field

Is equivalent to AQF Bachelor Degree

Here’s the thing, DIBP and ACS are 2 different authorities. ACS requires number of work experience depending on the relevance of your educational qualification on your nominated occupation, which is not the case for DIBP. If you don’t mind me asking, ano ba nakalagay sa ACS assessment nio, was it highlighted ba na indi nila kinonsider yung Master’s degree.

Ang problem kasi kung mentioned sa assessment mo ung Masters degree mo and yet Diploma pa din according ke ACS, then u should claim points only for Diploma otherwise you can get an opinion from VETASSESS.

Excerpt from http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/189.aspx under Points Test:

“The relevant assessing authority for your nominated occupation can usually determine whether your qualifications are of a standard that is comparable to a relevant Australian qualification. If the relevant assessing authority that conducts your skills assessment cannot give you an opinion about your qualifications, contact Vocational Education Training and Assessment Services.”

Finally our CO replied advising us the ANZCO codes she(yess! its a she.) recommended us to choose to nominate were listed in the CSOL of ACS website but i'm afraid it was not in CSOL of DIBP which will prevent us from applying a visa or she asked us if we would like to remain with our nominated occupation. If we choose to nominate to retain us on our ANZCO 261311 better to advise her to refer with the old skills assessment we have been sent which my hubby's approved in 2011 co'z we doesn't know how CO's think anyway or how she will assessed us further nor what are their basis either. Minsan kasi ang labo ng result ng skills assessment nila these days...sorry CO's.

We requested her(CO) to provide us the CSOL link where she says her recommended occupations/ANZCO that she thought was closely related to my hubby's job description where found so we can choose what ANZCO code should we pick so we can apply a visa.

Parang walang common sense kasi si Ms. CO kaya nga gusto namin i-try mag migrate pinapipili kami sa hindi listed sa CSOL o SOL ng DIBP.

@Xiaomau82 - they did not mention anyting bout my mba so i emailed them. They replied, they cannot provide opinion cos mba is non ict. Kaya bachor lng ni assess so, aqf diploma ako and less 5 years wrk experience

ok namn pala e, then get the opinion from VETASSESS. Tas cguro kung pwede include mo ung correspondence mo with ACS.

Walang maipakitang ACS website si CO. Tingin ko yun ngang sinasabing website ni CO ay yung Occupational list ng ACS, ganito yung stated sa email. My recommendations were listed in ACS link...yun lang kasi siguro hindi nya masabi na wala yung mga ANZCO codes recommendation nya sa CSOL ng DIBP. Malinaw na sa opinyon nya wala siyang choices at chances for us to migrate kasi NOT related yung Analyst Programmer na dating na approved sa amin sa palagay nya tapos yung 2 suggestions nya wala sa SOL at CSOL, do we have a choice here? Right now email si hubby we will choose to retain our claim for his job description as Analyst Programmer attached again our old assessment paper approved as Analyst Programmer. Now we are giving the decision to Ms. CO with that concrete evidence that they gave us few years ago. Prove to us that their assessing body has credibility.

@heyits7me_mags Sorry to hear about your status/struggle with your CO/ACS. I think there's a reason why assessments are only valid for 2 years; what may be valid/applicable in 2011 may not be valid/applicable now. So Im thinking baka after 2011 nagkaroon na ng mga bagong codes na mas pasok yung skills ng hubby nyo. Im not sure din how 261311 - Analyst Programmer is defined back then. Remember po that COs base their judgement on the Job description na nakastate sa COE na sinubmit natin. Same parin kaya ung description since 2011? Can you check po yung detailed description nung mga sinusuggest nya na code? Baka mas katunog/kapareho nung nakalagay sa COE ng hubby nyo.

Im thinking you can do 2 things from here:

1. Follow the lead of your CO and consider a different code
2. Resubmit a COE with revised description very similar to 261311 (https://www.acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0018/7641/ANZSCO-Descriptions.pdf)

Im sharing lang po my insights for a different perspective. I hope you'll get this one off your checklist soon para makaproceed na din kayo sa next steps. Godbless po

Thank u, @kenshusei for your suggestions. Perhaps we will consider suggestion #2 we will resubmit a revised COE tailored to 261311. I am thinking if our old skills assessment in the year 2011 will be acceptable nor would help against revised COE we will be submitting.

good day po sa lahat.. magtatanong po sana ako tungkol sa pagpapaassest sa ACS. Nag part time po kasi ako sa isang company na naka based sa UK na may satelite office sa pinas. At ang mahirap nag sarap na ito at cash on hand lang talaga ang pag bigay ng salary. Nagwork ako a web developer ng 4 years.

tanong ko sana, mag mamaterialize ba ang experience na ito?

Just would like to know po sana.. salamat and more power.

AQF Bachelor Degree with major in computing
2 years was removed from my work experience from the total of 8 years work experience that I passed for Skills Assessment.
I still have 6 years for my work experience.

Next milestone will be IELTS.

They also look at the subjects you took in college if it matches closely to their curriculum. But of course there could also be other factors.

@ios_dev, we are hoping for the best that ANZCO code was a recommendation but also CO's second option. One thing we let her assessed hubby's skills in that ANZCO was it has nominated by 3 states which is a bigger chance for migration. Other ANZCO, CO's first choice had one state opened so a slimmer chance to apply a visa

. but perhaps a higher chance of getting bigger points though. This coming July 1, one by one states will announce its new occupational list. Hoping for smooth flow of application for us. @chichan...Godbless us!...cheers!

@artagnan, bka po depende sa curriculum ng ECE against po sa job description ni ACS dun po sa Analyst Programmer. Bka pwede pa po kayong gamitin yung email ng CO nyo pwede rin po nyo inquire sa kanya.

Each employment reference must contain:
• Start and Finish Dates of Employment
• Description of Duties Performed
• Hours worked - Full time or Part time
• Country where Employment was completed
• Company Letterhead and signed by the author
Please Note:
 Employment references MUST contain an end date or the work episode will be assessed as not suitable.
 The term, “To Date” cannot be used as the end date of the employment reference.
 Only month and year will be counted for employment duration, not individual days.
 The relevance to your nominated occupation will be determined by the description of duties in your work reference.
 If dates or duties are unclear or open to misinterpretation, the work episode will be assessed as not suitable.

If currently employed with the company, the end date will be the date the COE was issued.

ask some of your friends na higher position than yours to provide a statutory declaration, to be supported by coe, pay slips or tax assessment.
