Hello po.. im new to this site.. let say mag asawa po kau.. then pareho kayong pasado sa points.. mas maganda ba na mag apply separately? or ung isa na lang ang main applicant? at kelangan po ba na authenticated ung mga i sa submit na requirements sa assesment? like ACS? thank you po..

@yoteamo_jay Hi hindi po ata advisable na hiwalay, kasi it is more expensive, the fee is around 2500 AUD po ata kung hindi ako nagkakamali. not unless inapprove na ung proposal for increase ng migration fee. wala po pabayad na ung dependent mo as long as your partner will take the IELTS test and pass the criteria, parang 6 (on all area) ata not sure kung binago na rin for dependent. as for the ACS skills assessment dapat authenticated po. the more relevant document you can present the better.

depends on your profession. pag IT pwede kayong mag pa skills assessment muna then later na ung IELTS.

Thanks aolee for the tip. Actually may na-check na rin ako sa pinas na agency, mas mura pa rin pala ng konti pag galing pinas. Medyo inabot na nga lang ng July1 point system, pero sige go pa rin. Good luck sa'tin lahat.

yung ka officemate ko pinoy sa pinas kumuha ng agent, kasi mas gamay na nila ung schools natin don. siguro un ung advantage at ung fee mas mababa, bigay sa kanila 100k php that's roughly 3k sgd?

at some point in the process, does the australian immigration body require you to show sufficient funds as proof that you can independently support yourself when in Oz? just like how the canadian immigration is...

    Time Line:
    09-08-2011: ACS received physical documents
    10-13-2011: ACS result (PIM3, Group A)

Sa Visa 175 they don't require you to show proof of funds. But for state sponsorship, some states do require a certain amount of funds and a proof.

As of now I have no any ideas how to migrate to Australia, but I' am planning to work and live there together with my family. My idea only for first procedure is to access my qualification regarding to point system. Currently working now here in Singapore holding Employment Pass. One of the Australian Agent sent me a form to fill-up to access if I' am qualified?
    Please give me an advise.

    Thanks,
    Allan

yes that's probably a good start, schedule an interview with an agent, they can atleast give you a better info about the processes. initial assessment is usually free. my advise is... before you go there, write down all your questions in mind so you wont forget anything.

Hi @fatchuchay, I assume you're not in Australia since you want to go there, right? First thing to do is to check if your skill/s are on the SOL list. What do you plan to do? Look for a job to sponsor you or go there as an independent migrant?

I have a clarification for Overseas work experience:

A - 5 of the last 7 years in my occupation or closely related skilled occupation
B - 3 of the last 5 years in my occupation or closely related skilled occupation

I'm torn between the two options. I'm working since I graduated 2005 until now 2011. So I have 6 years already. However I can only confirm 5 years on my nominated skill. So what option suits me best?

A - I got 5 years in the last 7 years even though 1 year was still spent in college?
B - I definitely got 3 years years in the past 5 years?

I hope someone can clarify. Thanks a lot!

@katlin924 Definitely option A as this will give you 10 points instead of 5 points with option B. I think it does not matter whether you were studying at that time as long as you are working as a full time employee, working more than 38 hours per week. And that is 5 years within the last 10 years prior to lodging your visa application.

Hi, I would like to know what is the advantage of applying thru agency if there is any. Would appreciate also if you have any idea how much is the relative cost they charge. I am currently here in Singapore, those who applied here before would appreciate your reply. Thanks!

@rodman91 Hi rodman91. Advantage of having a MARA registered agent is they can assist you with your application by organizing your documents, requirements, etc. They can also give you advice on different things like which visa is best applicable to you and/or your family. They take care of following you up with your requirements, some can even obtain certain documents for you if you are a busy person. And many more. Basically they can make applying for a visa a breeze for you. But please don't get the impression that getting an agent can increase the chances of your visa approval. They don't have any influence at all on the outcome of your application. Hope this helps.

@Bryann Thanks for answering. Another inquiry though, Should I include all employments in DIAC even though not all of them were included in my skills assessment in ACS.

    Situation:
Web Graphic Designer - 1 year
    Software Engineer - 4 years & 1 month
Systems Analyst - 10 months full time and 1 month part time (though I only rendered 16hours per week)

I'm planning to include only the employers of Software Engineer and Systems Analyst since I'm nominating Analyst Programmer as my skill. With this, I think the document will only include 4 years and 11 months (conservative).

However, if I now apply for Skilled Independent subclass 175 in DIAC, should I include the Web Graphic Designer job to claim the " 5 of the last 7 years in my occupation or closely related skilled occupation "?

Kindly advise. Thank you so much!

@katlin924 I may be wrong, but reading the procedures at ACS website, they mentioned that the number of years must be in a closely related occupation to your nominated skill.

@katlin924 medyo mahihirapan ka nga ipasok ung web designer job mo. dapat closely related sa nominated occupation like what bryann said.
