    Ano electricity provider nyo?

Petrol din tipid yung 10/wk. Since may mga kids, palagi nakakotse pag lalabas or may pupuntahan.

But the other expenses are quite lower, mukhang binawi nyo sa misc expenses ah. haha..
Yep, medyo malaki kasi mahilig kami manood ng movies or pumunta sa city pag weekend. Ang mahal pag kumakain sa labas.

@RyanJay oo nga boss; rent is very cheap? 1 whole apartment ba kayo? :)
Yes, whole house, 3 Beds, 1 Bath, 1 toilet, 1 garage.

I'm sure makakahanap kayo. Good luck.
@RyanJay may work ba si misis mo?
More or less, Php150K ang monthly budget ng family of four noh?
How about savings? Nakakapag save ba ng at least 20%? :-)
Nope, wala syang work, pero may placement work sya (ojt) sa government funded course na kinukuha nya. Yep, nakakapag save pa ako ng 20%+ a week.
    @ryanjay ano po yung myki?
Yung myki is yung card na ginagamit dito para pambayad ng transport like train, bus at tram.

Single, Sydney, staying in a 2-BR 2-bath 1-car park flat with dog, driving to work everyday (work is 6km from home with free parking, but occasionally travel ~10-20km per week for work)

    Rent: 450
    Petrol: 15
    Car loan (5 years): 90
Food/groceries: 60-80 (minsan matakaw ako hehe) - 9 out of 10 times packed lunch to work (groceries includes toiletries, home/cleaning supplies)
    Dog food: 5
    Internet: 22.5
    Mobile: 15
    Utilities: 15
    Health insurance: 25

Not included: car rego+ctpl+insurance, car operating expenses (oil change, services, etc), vet costs, occasional Opal card top-up, parking fees, eTag, etc

This will slightly change once my fiance moves in with me later this year and starts working, maghahati na kami sa rent. At the moment sagot ko pa lahat.

I realised that I started this thread and I still not have shared our budget here in Australia.

    1) Rent: $1,520 (2 bedroom villa located 10km north of MEL CBD)
    2) Internet: $80 (iinet at 100gb/month)
    3) Third Party Car Insurance: $37.76 (c/o AAMI)
    4) Petrol: $150
    5) Transportation: $132 (Myki with Zone 1 pass for myself; si misis nil kasi hatid sundo ko sa office)
    6) Health Insurance: $252.90 (c/o Medibank - this will increase by more than 5% next month)
    7) Grocery: $325 (varies but we budget it as this)
    8) Electricity: $75 (average past months)
    9) Gas: $20 (average past months)
    10) Water: $40 (average past months)
    11) Mobile Phone: $100 (I am on contract while wife is on prepaid)

Total: $2,732.66 (exacto pa talaga) - but we set aside $3,000 per month as our household expenditure.

As part of so-called preparing for our future retirement (which won't occur until another 25 years cguro...), we allot altogether $750/month as salary sacrifice to be placed in our superannuation fund.

Life is definitely more expensive here that what we were used to in Singapore but you will get by naman... By the way, the above expenses are for a couple with no kids.
Updating this after almost a year:

    Mortgage - $2,380.00
    Health Insurance - $280.00
    Home & Content Insurance - $50.00
    Car Insurance - $40.00
    Cellphone - $140.00
    Gasoline - $150.00
    Grocery - $325.00
    Internet - $80.00
    Utilities - $150.00
    Train Tickets - $280.00

This will total into somewhere close to $3,900 per month - lumalaki yung gastos as a result of higher cost for shelter (mortgage), additional insurance (home & content) and higher cost sa train tickets (both me & misis now take a train ride going to work)

Wala pa dito sa breakdown ang cost for running a house (i.e. repairs, council fees, etc), car maintenance, registration and our entertainment cost (eating out, cinema, etc)

At the end of the day, meron pa rin naman maiipon and and we just put it in our offset account so that our loan principal will become lesser.

hi @cholle for a single person, itong weekly budget na ito...

2015 na, Happy New Year everyone.

House rent: 400/week (1BR apartment in CBD- 5mins walk to my office)
Food: 150-200/week (may diaper at milk pa kasi sa bata)
    Petrol: 50/month (or less)
    Car Mortgage: 125/week
    Car Insurance: 70/mo.
Electricity: 340 for 3months. (Baka may connection fee pa itong kasama kaya mataas)
    Gas: $80 for 3months
Mobile prepaid: $40/month x 2 (for me and my wife)
    Internet: $60/month
    Water: Free
    MIsc.: $35/month (Red Cross AU)
Others: $250/month (other things and kain sa labas)

Walking distance lang ang workplace ko sa house within the CBD kaya wala ako monthly expenses para sa transpo at baon. During lunch umuuwi lang ako sa house. Malaki ang savings namin dito compared nung nasa SG pa kami (both working).

Biggest factor na niconsider namin when renting an apartment is yung location talaga. It is a bit expensive compared to renting a house in suburb. In an apartment, you will have the complete facilities (gym, pool, function hall, bbq pit, parking), and less maintenance. In a house; 1. you will have complete privacy; 2. your own front and backyard 3. more rooms for kids to play around 4. can invite more friends.

Hahaha… Grabe kamahal ng sine dito, might as well set up your own home theatre sa bahay.

I think start from November to February.

Mostly sa work, either football or golf ang madalas pag-usapan.
