good day mga kabayan kong Nars,

As far as AHPRA is concerned, mas concerned sila sa education more than the license kasi education yung kailangan para makapractice dito. Disregard mo ung criteria 2 and 3, http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Registration-and-Endorsement/International/Meeting-the-registration-requirements.aspx

Although any other qualifications and experience, will be counted towards your outcome. hindi ko lang alam kung significant. So lahat ng iba't ibang registration mo kailangang ideclare. http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Registration-and-Endorsement/International/Assessing-your-qualifications.aspx

Hi! I'm asking for a friend since wala sya acct dito. She's a Registered Nurse in Singapore for 3 years na with on going contract sa hospital. Gusto nya sana mag apply for PR dto sa AU.kelangan pb nya ng bridging course? Someone told her kasi na baka ndi na since ang experince nya is SG. Need your advice po.

Unless she is educated in SG, she may not need to do bridging. It was in the past, the Pinoy educated RNs in SG can be registered in AU straight away. Unfortunately, things changed since last year.

For PR, she needs to be registered as AU RN to lodge an application for skills assessment which she will use for PR application.

If you want further details. PM me po.

    @Charm

Are you the main applicant for 189?

Apply for RN. Just be honest with all your registration and employment history. But apply for RN. What matters to them is that you are RN overseas and you worked as RN too even if your most recent work is as EN. As long as your RN registration in PH is current, its okay.

Bridging Program po ang general term for non-award qualification program leading to registration. It is around 8-16 weeks in duration depending on the school policy. Mostly less than 13 weeks. Different schools would name it differently: IRON, IQNBP, EPIQ-RN, ARNTP.

Conversion Courses are 1 year degree courses leading also to registration.

For bridging, need ka mag undergo sa AHPRA which requires 3 months experience but different schools have their own policies on admittig students, some requires 1-2 yrs exp, some 3 years.

For conversion, not really sure but I heard they don't require experience as long as registered nurse ka abroad.

Typo error lang. Haha. Yung Monash naman madami ding impressive new buildings.

Around 5 years in total.

I am sure mas mabilis registration ninyo kasi pwede kang mag apply before your graduation, diba? Yung Fit2Work check sa AU siya, tapos ichecheck nila mga countries na tinirihan mo for more than 6 months. Since PH at AU ka tumira, 2 checks ka. Doble bayad.

If sponsorship fails, atleast ready ka na for PR.

Hi I've read some of your posts, actually kasi i worked in the UK for 4 years, in a nursing home and hospital, 2 and 2 but as senior nursing assistant. And a recent 1 year hospital work experience as RN in the Phil. IELTS ko is Listening 8.5, Reading 8.5, Speaking 7, Writing 6.5). So I'm considering the offer sa Deakin Uni 1year Bachelor of Nursing, would that lead me to registration upon completion or need to retake IELTS? and Do you have any idea if eligible ako for PR after?. i just wana have a clear picture to what will happen after ng schooling. thank you!

    Hi @kimxx

Kasi kung ako, I recommend na mag IELTS ka uli and get that 7.0 sa writing since you can combine 2 test results na. I would also want to recommend that you take bridging program na lang since mas mura ito at mas mabilis.

    About PR naman:

But anyway, madaming iba ibang klase ng permanent residency visa. Yung 189 skilled independent kailangan mo maabot yung 60 points. Otherwise, may ibang klase ng pr like 190 and 485. Still kung galing kang working visa, I think pwede ka rin magapply leading to PR.

Yung info ng visas nasa immigration website., skills assessment for nursing nasa ANMAC. Check mo lang..

You will definitely need to take ielts or any other english exam and gain all 7 or its equivalent. Otherwise hindi ka mareregister. Kung porsigido kang magaral with your current scores bear in mind that different schools have different English language requirements.

Just registered to ask for guidance from the people here. My wife and I kasi will be trying.

My wife has 5yrs paid working experience as a nurse dito sa Phil.

We're also planning on bringing our 2yr old son.

    IELTS/OET>AHPRA>Bridging>AHPRA>ANMAC>PR

If she will do bridging program, most likely she cannot work nor can you. They require a visitor visa which has no work rights.

Better to let her finish bridging first while you and your kid is in PH. She will go back, finalise everything. Apply for PR with you and kid as dependents.

You can gamble with other pathway but its too expensive for the three of you. 3 months away from you is worth a sacrifice.

@rejai_11, 8 weeks. May kilala akong 4 weeks.

@Electrical_Engr_CDR, 'yung mas maraming experience. Kung specialty, better. Both bridging and conversion leads to registration anyway. I think ang pros lan sa conversion mas matami kang means to find work after registration kasi nasa AU. You can call them directly. May mga employers na ayaw yunawag overseas, gusto ng face to face, which I experienced.

    ?
Depende sa iyo. If may pera kang gumastos ng 1 year, go ka. Degree din iyan. Kung wala naman, mag 3 months bridging ka.

Kung makakakuha ka agad ng slot sa UQ, this year ba iyan? At kaya mo mag finance, I think go for it na rin. Kasi di mo na need mag undergo before hand sa AHPRA and before graduation mo dyan makapag apply ka na as RN sa AHPRA.

Medyo matagal kasi magpa assess sa AHPRA ngayon. Last year, around 1 year waiting. I think ngayon, around 6 months. Tapos after bridging, around 4-6 weeks wait again.

Another consideration is work rights. Kapag bridging program ka, wala kang work rights pagkatapos kasi mostly under visitor visa ka. Iba kapag on student visa ka, may time ka para makapag work after your degree.

Plan ko next yr by august. So mas maganda talaga opportunity kung 1 yr?
We may not have funded ourselves for an expensive conversion course pero RN pa rin kami ngayon. Wala din naman assurance na magkakawork ka as RN kung mag 1 year degree ka just like bridging. Baka umuwi ka lang ding luhaan. Maybe you can work as RN pag naregister ka na with your student visa, eh hanggang kailan lang ba valid ang student visa mo? So, in the end babalik ka rin sa Pinas.

Just my two cents. Decision mo pa rin iyan in the end.

Hehe.

I just want to consult something with you guys. I am a CPA and my hubby is a RN in the Philippines. Ako primary applicant for PR visa since ako magtatake ng PTE-A, and my husband will only submit a certificate stating na english ang medium of instruction to qualify sa family applicant visa. Question lang po: Is he still required to take IELTS po once na PR na kami for RN registration purposes in Au? What are the process po that he will undergo para maging RN sya sa Au? I just want to consult something with you guys. I am a CPA and my hubby is a RN in the Philippines. Ako primary applicant for PR visa since ako magtatake ng PTE-A, and my husband will only submit a certificate stating na english ang medium of instruction to qualify sa family applicant visa. Question lang po: Is he still required to take IELTS po once na PR na kami for RN registration purposes in Au? What are the process po that he will undergo para maging RN sya sa Au? Thank you and God bless!
hi if i may, yes po he needs to take english exam any of 4 na iaacept ng ahpra. Check nyo ahpra website then go to international nurses, or browse Agos 40 form which yun ang requirement pag mag apply sa ahpra. He will also more likely need to undergo bridging program after that.

But, as long as mapakita mo na Bachelor Degree, especially kung university, rather than college/institute, yung sa Pilipinas, then okay siya. Pero it depends sa DIBP.

With regards to AHPRA, I know they most likely won't consider it up to standard. Pero DIBP is a different entity, so it depends on them if they'll consider. I hope that helps.
