@kymme pareho tayo, March 21 ko din balak mag exam, hindi masyado madami examiners dto sa Saudi kaya once a month lang ang slot, good luck sa tin, this will be my first take and mababa pa yung mock test result ko kaya aral mode pa ng bongga.
May nakausap ako na nurse dito sa Riyadh, sabi nya naka receive na daw sya ng ITA dati pero naabutan daw sya ng expire ng IELTS nya, then nag exam daw sya paulit ulit hindi na daw nya makuha ulit yung band 7 & nag give up na lang sya. Sayang, sana nalaman nya yung PTE and na try nya sana.

@kymme yes girl after touchdown dito sa dvo saktong inabutan ko pa last trip ng van ngayon pauwi sa amin. Kyang kaya mo din yan sis gow na..
@morena89 bongga dn tlga xp mo girl. Pero di ba mas masarap lasapin ang 'english test graduation' ngyon dhil sa mga nangyari noon geheh.

Good Day mga Sir/Madam. Ask ko lang po sana kung applicable ba yung PTE sa Telecomm Engineers? I heard may Academic at General rin ung PTE pero PTE Acad lang raw ang recognized for visa. Baka po may nakakaalam kung pde sa mga Telecom Network Enginner (assessing body=Engineers Australia) yung PTE Acad to claim points for English competency?

@danz1213 ang alam ko sa Engineers Australia assessment, IELTS and TOEFL pa lang accepted. Need mo lang ata maka 6 points in each of the 4 modules sa IELTS. Not sure about TOEFL accepted scores.

Pero sa submission ng EOI applicable ang PTE and you can claim points basta naka 65 ka pataas in each module.

Congrats! Muntik din ako mag quit after ng 3rd try ko ng IELTS. Palaging 7/7/6.5/6.5 ang bigay na score. PTE-A lang talaga ang pag-asa kaya ipilit nyo lang. Imagine di naman ako magaling mag english pero naka kuha ko 20 points. Kaya nyo din yun, lalo na yung mga nasa SG ngayon. Mas sanay kayo mag English. Araw araw nyo na p-practice. Best of luck sa lahat.

@Liolaeus san po kau ng take? mg matter po ba ung testing center and their equipment? ung kakilala ko kasi ng ielts xa 8 lahat except writing na 7.5 and kelangan nya 20 points. so ng PTE xa. ung nkuha nya 70 below lahat. lalong bumaba

Dalawa lang yung PTE testing center dito, yung sa Bright Centre (Ortigas) and Pearson (Makati). Nag take ako both centers.

Wala na yata yung sa Bright Centre ngayon. Ang ok dun, 4 seats lang tas ako lang mag isa ang nag take ng exam so walang ibang maingay na examinees. Yung equipment naman, pareho lang ng quality. Maingay lang sa Makati kasi ang dami kasabay. 6-10 ang kasabay ko noon.

Baka nabigla lang yung kakilala mo. Ako kasi minimal lang ang review ko sa PTE dahil nag hahabol ako ng oras. Inalam ko lang yung sequence ng questions at nag kabisa lang ako ng mga template dahil mahina ako sa speaking module. Bumili ako ng mock test pero di ko naman nagamit, binenta ko lang. Sa totoo lang, mahirap ang reading module ng PTE compared sa IELTS. Pinaka madali sakin ang Listening at Writing sa PTE.

Hay nakuuu wala pa rin result guys tagal nman.. Nung Jan. 5 ko na take, 9 am exam, pgka.11pm the same day anjan na result.. Lampas 1 day na ngayon heheh.

@jedh_g Eto na sir ginaganahan nako, malapit na siguro ang result hehe..Ang weakness ko talaga is R and S. So hindi nako ng.study sa L and W, sana maging ok pa dn result nito.

General tips:
1. Buy the gold kit - You really really SHOULD buy this guys.
2. Study a few days then take the Mock test A. When you have your result, focus 70% of your study time sa 2ng lowest. In my case, R and S.
3. When you feel na para kang strong or stressed out (or trying hard) mgsalita sa Speaking, indication na you're not fully ready. On the other hand if you feel relaxed and flowing mgsalita, yun na yun -or what i call, my AHA moment lol.

Reading tips:
1. Read and understand the question first and foremost. Alamin anong kelangan mong data sa paragraph. Pwde ka dito mdyo mgtagal coz this is the key to getting the answer.
For ex.you are asked what can be made out of the wood. Obviously wala ang sagot sa first paragraph kasi intro yun so jump sa next para.
Note: If you are a voracious reader, my advantage ka na dito kasi fast readers can skim thru the whole text w/o reading each word but still able to understand the context.

2. If the question is, what can you infer from the blah blah.. This is bloody kasi sinasabi ng tanong na you now have to read the whole paragraph kasi hanapin mo ang hidden meaning, overall view kumbaga. Nataon ako sa tanong na to, patay talaga hahah.

3. For questions na more than one answer, DON'T ASSUME. choose the answers na andun talaga mismo sa text, explicit na sinabi, hindi yung feeling mo andun pero wala wala! lol.
Note: MINUS POINT for every WRONG ANSWER, bka mgka.negative ka pa so sa 2 kng 1 lng sure mo, 1 lng sagutin mo.

@mokong are you preparing for PTE exams? Well, to give my share on how you will describe this graph, here is my suggestion:

The line graph projected on the screen is the presentation of variables showing percentage of world population between Asia and Europe.

Based on the line trend, Asia's population had gradually fell from year 1850 from 64% and continue to drop dramatically until 1950 estimated at 56%. Finally, there's a gradual increase from 58-62% approaching year 2000 and continually stabilized at 60% thereafter. On the other hand, Europe had steadily increased from 20-25% from year 1750 to 1900 and slightly dropped back to 20% year 1950. Surprisingly, population had plummeted from 20% down to 9% observed until year 2000.

This graph was concise and accurate and can be used as a reference for future studies particularly in comparison between Asia and Europe population trend analysis.

@hopeful_mea wow expert hehehe! Thanks here's where I am now on my review stage as follows and in accordance to your tips in order below:

1. I only bought the PTE Mock Test - Set B only thru iam_juju along w/ free practice test
2. Planning to take my mock test Set B a week before my exam date (1 month from now).
3. Quite confident on my fluency, diction and loudness of my voice. I just have to practice coherence and master the template to avoid stuttering during the actual speaking part of the exam.

My strategy now is learn more vocabulary words per day. I have kept a notebook where I had written the (1) Test format, (2) Speaking template including Essay, (3) Listen to downloaded PTE online source audio's on my way home (2 hours din on my way home). Then mixed alternately with my favorite songs just to balance my ears.

So far so good. From my analogy of the test format, answer short questions has a lot of items followed by repeat sentence. Not to focus on these exam sections but they weigh much on quantity. I find read aloud a good starter to gain confidence as its the first part where you will vocalize a lot followed by describe image. Re-Tell Lecture & Summarize Written Text requires practice every day to master. Good thing on the last part which is Write Essay, it will just take exposure by reading lots of essay samples. Mabuti I am fine with my previous IELTS Writing score consistent at 7.0

@jedh_g naku sir mdyo mahaba yung describe image nyo. Highest and lowest lng and you're good na nyan.

1st sentence- yung one line script
2nd-3rd sentence-highest and lowest point
4th sen-conclusion (invent kahit ano)
last sen- Also, the chart is concise and accurate blah blah yung script

Sa writing if you got 7 sa ielts don't bother studying po you'll surely get 80+ sa pte. No need to study na din sa summarize written and spoken test. Just remember to maximize the no.of words. 60-70 words dpat ang masulat pra mataas score. Sa summarize written text nman, one sentence lng so ok lng kunting words pero make sure complex ang sentence and yung key words from the text andun sa sentence nyo.

Guys nakuha ko na result, nkakapanlumo. Mali nga talaga ang position ng mic ko at hinayaan ko na ma.breathy ang recording. I was confident na ok lng yun pero hindi pla. Sobrang bagsak ang Speaking ko this time 49 lng. Hindi na ko reliable source ngyon wahhhh...signing off na muna ako while waiting for my ITA -na sa tingin ko e mga last quarter this year pa siguro darating bilang 60pointer lng ako.

I really hope though na mg.work for you guys yung mga tips ko knina. Yung POSITION ng MIC nyo talaga unahin nyo bago ang lahat... Now I'll be relying on my first take na score, yun na talaga yun parang hindi ko na malampasan yung score ko dati..
