@hopeful_mea sis dapat matapos ideally before 40 seconds para complete un last sentence. usually nag stop na ako ng 38-39 sec. wag 30 kase madami pang oras. gamitin un fillers, the graph/lecture was interesting and can be used as reference by students or educators. mga imbentong ganyan para mapuno un oras.

@kymme yezz dba bongga haha. i don't have my hubby's support this time nga e kasi bt di daw mka.antay na lng sayang pera etc. pro i just have to give this one more shot. And ang airport pa is 3 hrs away dto sa min, nsa bukid ako, literally hehe.

@kate27 naku gnun ba, buti na lng sinabi mo sis kasi ang pina.practice ko ngayon e tuloy2 lng bhala na maputol. Sige practisin ko ulit, limit lng sa 7 sentences-eto base sa normal pace ko mgsalita.

exam ko na sa Saturday. yung reading ko 51 at speaking is 61.
Gano ba ka accurate yung mock test? ganito ba yung magiging score ko sa actual? mas mahirap ba yung mock test than sa actual?
advise naman po sa nakapag exam na.
super anxious na ako.

@Liolaeus ang ganda po ng score nyo! any tips for speaking. 7.5 ako sa ielts pro sa pte 58 lang

6.5 lang ako lagi sa IELTS. Practice and memorize ang mga sasabihin. May template sa page 130. Yun lang ang sundan, kahit paulit ulit lang sa iba't ibang question. Ganun ginawa ko. Saka pala make sure yung boses are recorded ng malinaw.

Pinaka mahirap sa speaking haha. May template din yan pero intro lang. "The topic of the lecture is about...". Yung body naman, isulat mo lang lahat ng kaya mo isulat then sabihin mo lahat yun kahit basahin mo lang. Mag buo ka ng sentences based dun sa sinulat mo. Avoid stuttering and hesitating.

Advisable na synonyms ang gamitin pero ako inulit ko lang karamihan ng exact keywords na nadinig at na sulat ko. Mahirap kasi talaga ma kuha lahat ng sinasabi ng speaker. May mga feedbacks ako nabasa dati kahit gibberish daw at kung anu ano sinasabi, mataas ang nakukuha score. Siguro kasi mas importante ang fluency at tuloy tuloy ang pag salita.

@kate27 I took the mock test PTE software last night, seemingly parang actual exam sya as I took it. Ang bilis pala ng transition and I observed na di mo mapapansin na ibang section na pala ng exam yung start (from re-tell lecture then answer short questions na pala). Need to improve practicing on reading and speaking...sana ok pa makareview before mag March 21. Tips pa please...

Hi @morena89, yung mock test (based on my experience) is almost similar to the actual test. Iba lang yung questions, pero yung actual format, parehong-pareho. Parang Set A, Set B lang sa exams.

However, (I think) yung performance mo and your scores will all depend on how you are feeling during the exam day, so be confident.

First of, try to relax kasi anxiety will get you pag di ka nag-chill. Try not be mindful of the set time limit and do not forget to say something like uhm, sa microphone. Anything basta walang complete silence, otherwise after a couple of seconds, mag-ooff na yung microphone and there will be no other way para mag-on sya ulit.

Speak clearly and try not to stutter. Clear, neutral accent on speaking is fine.
Focus on the questions and listen very carefully to the questions.

Magdala ka din ng candy for sugar rush.

Good luck! You can achieve your desired score for sure.

@hopeful_mea share mo naman speaking tips mo. I'm currently on my self review period and tried PTE mock software (colored pink) in 3 sets. I tried taking the test on speaking part. I need an adviser as unscored and no timer sya but at least I know the feeling of the actual exam. I tried speaking at a lower pace but very clear ang words. I do not use feelers like ah or uhm pero sometimes does it help for the sake of continuity? Appreciate your aid. I will take the exam of March 21. Salamat

@jedh_g hi! no i dont use fillers,hndi lng tlga ako sanay. I strongly suggest na bumili kayo practice test but of course depende din sa inyo. Sa kin i needed to know what it feels like during sa exam kya bumili ako and it helped a lot like mga 60%. When you know what's coming your way that's less stress na.

About sa pacing, conversational lang not slow kasi apektado oral fluency dun. Then as @kate27 said -she's 90, sa lahat ata, make sure we're done talking before the 40 sec ends. Hope that helps!

@hopeful_mea thanks, actually I bought to iam_juju ng PTE mock test set b with free practice test online. Salamat, kapag nakuha ko scores ko, ililibre ko kayo dalawa! Hopefully, makuha na sa isang take kaya mega review ako kahit nasa planta at work...ubos na budget

while testing the mic, I can hear my breath. so nilagay ko sya sa medyo tapat ng ilong ko.di ko alam kung nakaapekto ung mic pero sa practice ko usually 50+ lng tlga nagiging score ko sa practice
