@kymme sis speaking template lang un sa pg 115. un kay engineer na chart projected on the screen.. gawa ka lang sarili mo version ng ganyan na fill in the blanks para sa describe image at retell lecture better chances na makuha un ok na score sa fluency

@paulcasablanca1980 describe mo sir pano un style mo sa lahat ng listening exam type. ang naaalala ko sa listening dapat mabilis ka magsagot at madami kang oras para macover lahat ng items kase mag pplay pa un mga recordings. un supply missing word wag muna itype lahat ng maayos, key letters lang to remember the word, edit mo na lang to correct spelling before you hit next item. un sa identify wrong word, or highlight incorrect word, focus lang at dapat mabilis din magbasa para masundan un speaker.

I'm planning to take PTE in March, I tried the mock test and my score sa set A were L69/R58/S57/W71. Na pressure tuloy ako, I know I need to study more, kahit sana 65 lang happy na ako, para maka start na ng application. Nag mock test ako para ma asses kung saan ako mas dapat mag focus, mahina talaga ako sa reading and sa speaking naman I thought I was ok, turned out na mali pala pronunciation ko ng ibang words masyado Pinoy style na English hehe. I will take test B pag malapit na ako mag exam. Salamat sa mga nag share ng study materials, start na ako mag aral ng seryoso next week, Good luck po sa ating lahat

Guys, question lang on the Summarize spoken text, kailangan ba one-sentence summary lang or pede kahit ilang sentences basta within the 50-70 word limit?

And another question pala, dun sa describe image, if natapos yung 40 seconds na nabitin ka sa pagsasalita, makaka affect ba yun na mababa ang mkuha na grade? Dapat masabi mo lahat within 40 seconds and hindi ka mabitin?

@kate27 salamat for the willingness to share this tip. I'm also under the same migration agent. I do hope I have the best preparation time left which is 5 weeks from now. March 21 ako magte-take ng exam and definitely I will be early on the exam room around 8:00 AM to avoid tension and focus well. I do hope by practice I can nail this one with prayers as well. If may tips ka pa, please share mate. God bless.

@kate27 by the way, I bought the paid PTE mock test B. Ideally siguro, I will take this a week before the actual exam date. Focus ako ngayon sa speaking and reading. All the best!

Hello beautiful people.
I would like to share my traumatic experiences with IELTS and some good vibes with PTE.
I took IELTS last May 2013. I was so sh*t scared to take the exam as I have had heard more negatives feedbacks than the positive ones. It took me a year to review for the test, I gave upmy job to focus on my IELTS review. My scores were L/R/S/W: 7/7/6.5/6.5. Since my uni in Australia accepts score no more than 6.5 with a band of 7, I decided to submit the results so I can immediately file for my visa to start my Bachelor in Nursing course. Then, I successfully got an offer letter from my school and moved to Australia. I ended up studying nursing for 2 years coz my 1st year had been credited. Fortunately, I completed the course and graduated my Bachelor's degree December last year. Before my graduation, I decided to take IELTS for my AHPRA registration so I took IELTS last November 21, 2015, got the results after 2 weeks and with my disappointment my scores were L/S/R/W: 7/7/6/6.5. I was so depressed and wanting not to attend the grad ceremony. I was crying for the whole month of December. I couldn't even feel the spirit of Christmas and New year. My hormones were so low, and I am so vulnerable. I felt like I'm a psycho. However, I never gave up, I got an IELTS tutor with a $40 rate per hour. I was constantly did the tutoring class for 2 hours a day, 3x a week. (Imagine how much money I spent there. Not to mention the 3 ebooks I bought online which costs around $80 each USD plus the (4-10) Cambridge books that I bought online and signed up for a 10 correction essays. I just lost a lot of money. sayang!) Anyways, January 9, 2016 would be my next IELTS exam. Well, same story pa din. My scores were L/R/S/W: 7/6.5/7/6.5. I booked another IELTS exam again for January 23,2016, scores were: L/R/W/S: 7.5/6.5/6.5/7.5. Sabi ko joke na to! d nato tama! My friend in Sydney took PTE and passed. same story din kami. nag take sya nang IELTS for how many times din. She convinced me to do PTE. I was hesitant kasi walang test centre dito sa city ko sa dapat pa bumyahe nang ibang state, at sabi ko "eto na naman, panibagong exam, review na naman at mga materials". I was intrigued and curious what PTE likes so I searched about the test and for all the forums I've read I was hooked on this forum to the mere fact that I could not put my phone down coz I want to read every comments on this thread.
It took me 3 to 4 days to read this thread, listed down all the advises and spiels. Hindi ko ma open yung Mcmillan pero na open ko cheatsheet ni @filipinacpa.
after 4 days of reading this thread binili ko yung golden kit, mock test. ang baba nang mga scores ko! nakadepress lalo. the nextweek binili ko uli yung mock test para mahasa ako at masanay sa exam. same questions lang sila lahat at worst pa yung reading ko sobrang bumaba.
Scored test A: L/R/S/W: 69/56/60/69
Scored test B: 66/58/55/68
Scored test A: 73/56/62/74
Scored test B: 77/51/61/78

Based sa mga mock tests ko alam ko na saan ako mahina Reading at Speaking.

So ang ginawa ko sa Reading: may magandang video sa youtube yung weebly7 MAY ilets reading sila na practice test from 1 to 10. 1 to 5 lang nagawa ko. at inulit ulit ko answeran yung unscored practice test sa pearson.
Speaking: binasa ko lahat nang reading sa IElTS book ko nang malakas, at nag basa nang mga newspaper at magazines. at ginamit ko yung powerful spiel na nakuha ko dito.

paulit ulit ko lang yan sinabi na para akong sirang plaka sa cubicle ko. super effective xa.

4 days lang talaga ako nag concentrate mag review at 1 week yung memorization para mahasa at confident pakinggan. Saturday exam ko Friday flight ko papuntang Sydney kasi dun ako nagdecide mag take andun din kasi friend ko maganda na makalibre sa accommodation. Pagdating ko sa Sydney nung Friday naglakwatcha na kami at nag bar hopping nauwi 1am at yung exam ko 9am. May hang over pa nag take nang exam nung Saturday pero may spiel na ako at ad libs nalang. basta confident lang sa mga sasabihin mo. After 40hrs may result na!
I passed!
L/R/S/W: 89/65/66/82

Kaya guys kaya niyo yan. Think positive lang talaga. Wag masyado e.pressure ang sarili kasi nakaka mental block.

Sooo happy! hanggang ngayon paulit ulit ko tinitingnan scores ko!

@morena89 anlayo mo pala. anyway, i already did scored tests A and B last year but unfortunately, im 7 points short sa speaking pra dun sa all 65 so im giving it another try sa March. same questions lang ba ang ginegenarate or another sets na naman if ever bibili ako ulit ng scored tests

yung dalawang IELTS ko pala na results sa Jan 9 at 23, 2016 pina remark ko yugn writing at hanggang ngayon wala pang news. It was an excellent decision to take PTE.
Kaya mga beautiful people kung nakaya ko, kaya nyo din yan! go lang nang go!

@catthsy don't lose hope! marami kami nagdaan sa ganyan. Giving up is not an option. You never know you're 1% closer na pala in achieving your desired scores

@morena89 hello sis congratulations to you! thanks for sharing your story. very inspiring siya. we will definitely meet one day in the land down under. pm pm nalang. pa big move na rin ako this March 14, after all the hardworks, blood (oa lang hehe), pawis and luha.. eto na siya.. minsan talaga si Lord sinusubukan lang ang patience and determination natin..

so sa lahat ng magtake pa.. just do not give up on your dreams.. keep working and eventually you'll end up getting your golden email one day!
