Yes, you can have it converted but it's quite a tedious process. Kaya naman yung iba -- tulad ko

) -- eh pinapa-convert na muna ang PH DL to SG DL. Direct conversion kasi ang SG DL to AU DL.

@Miyawski Yup pumunta din kami ng ACT last year. Yung bus terminal nila at 7:30 pm e pang horror movie na hehe walang katao tao.

Actually part of the reason kaya ayaw namin sumugal na lumipat agad without guaranteed work kasi we have a new born baby. financially di pwede mabakante hehe, I heard about that financial support from government pero is it really that enough? and we have no idea how to be eligible or yung process to claim.

Enough to live by without using your savings? Nope. Siguro for a family of 3 like yours, the financial assistance will help cover your utility bills and siguro a week or 2 worth of groceries. Ang Centrelink ang mag-a-assess ng eligibility mo, and kung magkano ang matatanggap nyo.

Kung game ka naman pwede ka namang kumuha ng odd jobs to augment yung natatanggap mo from the government.

Oo nga pala about renouncing PR, gaano pala katagal yung process? Makukuha mo ba lahat including medisave? yung amount reflected sa cpf e wala pang yung interest dun diba? Thanks!

In our case, we alloted 3 days for renunciation at withdrawal ng CPF. A friend of mine I believe did it in a day. ICA sa umaga, tapos diretso CPF after. Kung anuman ang nasa CPF account (OA, SA at Medisave) mo will be passed on to you, including interest... less any withholding amount (tax etc).

Yun lang.

If you're gonna convert from PH DL to AU DL, you will have to go through:

- Booking and taking a Learner Permit Test
- Once you pass the above, you'll have to book and take the Hazard Test
- Once you pass the above, you'll have to book and take the (actual) Drive Test

Then you'll get your Probationary (P) License. In Victoria, you'll get a P2 (Green) License. Next progression mo will be Full License (AFAIK, it takes 3 years on P2 to get a Full License -- not sure if that's applicable for conversion of PH DL).

@prcand ok lang kung sa bus stop magisa eh. Pero yung bus station nila mismo walang tao e hehe. Parang may apocalypse na nangyari

Before we moved. Mejo hassle kasi if sa AU mo i-renounce -- you'll have to go to Canberra to do it, as far as I know.

Hindi kaya on a case by case basis yan? I know of a friend who moved to Sydney, took the 3 tests, passed them, and was given a P License. He only recently got his full license (nung binisita namin sa syd, nakadikit pa sa ref ang P plate -- remembrance daw lol)..

Thank you for your email regarding the requirements to convert your Singaporean overseas drivers licence to Victoria.

Overseas licence holders from a recognised country such as Singapore are not required to undertake these tests when applying for a car and/or a motor cycle licence in Victoria, providing their overseas licence is current or expired by no more than five years. (This excludes holders of licences from external territories of those recognised countries unless the territories are listed below.) An appointment at a VicRoads Customer Service Centre is required to obtain a Victorian drivers licence and undergo an eyesight test.

There are also some countries that VicRoads recognises their driver experience. No tests will be required if you hold a licence from one of these countries, and you are 25 years of age or older converting a car or motorcycle driver licence to a Victorian equivalent. If you are under the age of 25 years, testing is required.

Hi @jlexy, I'm planning to convert my PH DL to SG DL. May proof or docs ba silang hinahanap na my PH DL na kyo before kyo mgwork sa SG?
Sa required documents kasi na nakita ko, need mo lang ng "Original and a photocopy of your valid Qualified Foreign Driving Licence".

@pedrosg ung thing is... dapat issued na ung PH license mo bago ka nag SG. so if wala na sa possession mo ung first DL (kasi sinu-surrender siya pag nag renew), mukhang dapat may mga resibo ka or ung LTO certification to prove.

@se29m may isang member dito sa forum na sabi resibo lang daw pinakita niya, tapos tinanggap naman. so pwede mo rin siya subukan. not sure sa student resibo though... wag kalimutan sabihan kami for future reference!

Guys, ask ko lang. Kasi sabi sa akin need ng LTO Certification (with red seal DFA). Tinatanggap ba nila yung resibo lang? Hindi pa ako nagpapabook kasi need kong umuwi ng pinas para iparenew PH DL ko. Expired na pala ng 2yrs. hehehe. At the same time apply na rin ako ng LTO Certification. Pero kung tinatanggap nila resibo, yung na lang ipresent ko para makatipid.

@z3design sa case ko tinanggap yung resibo lang. kung kumpleto ka naman ng resibo at meron ka ng before you started working in SG mukhang wala naman magiging problema. kung di naman hassle ang pagkuha ng LTO certificate mas ok na iyon ang ipasa mo.

@z3design kahit lumang resibo pwede na yan, nakalagay naman sa driver's license natin ang year na acquired mo, pero kung may mga lumang resibo ka nga, expired naman na license mo, wala rin, kunbaga, hindi na "valid" yan.

Wala ako nung resibo nung 1st issue ng license ko.. pero meron ako nung 2nd renewal ko. Tatanggapin kya.. Tipid mode ako.. kung certificate... medyo magastos din and matagal kc isesend pa nung LTO sa DFA for red seal.

di naman required sa SG ang red ribbon. di ba pwedeng ibigay ng LTO ang cert sa applicant kahit walang red ribbon? 100 pesos yata pag cert lang at makukuha agad pero sa main office lang nakakapagrequest.

@prcand , sabi ng fixer ko mga 2-3 weeks daw. Sa Main office ung application, wala sa mga branch. Matagal kasi ifoforward ng LTO sa DFA ung cert for red sealing. Quote sa akin is 4800.

@z3design wag mong patusin kung 4800 ang bayad. kung may mapapapunta ka naman sa east ave. pakuha ka na lang ng cert kahit walang red ribbon.

@z3design buhay parin ba pala mga fixers? LOL. agree ako kay @engineer20, kunin ko nalang ung cert without ribbon (if pwede) tapos papakita dito sa SG. kung resibo lang ay tinatanggap nila na proof, why not certificate itself diba, at bakit kelangan pa ng ribbon?
