    @metaform opo academic po ang module kasi mag student visa ako sa oz (conversion course for nurses)... mahirap nga yung reading kasi medyo tricky yung questions akala ko yun na yung sagot pero di pala... nagulat nga ako naka 7.0 ako sa writing eh yun yung ineexpect ko na mababa ako.....

    @ sungsung sayang nga eh .5 nalang... tricky nga po ang reading tsaka ang hahaba ng babasahin hindi pa naman ako mahilig mag basa haha... magpapa assess muna ako sa IDP kung ano pwedeng mga option ko or kung may tatanggap ng IELTS ko na school sa OZ then kung sabihin nila na mag retake ako, magreretake ako.. pero as much as possible ayoko na mag retake nakaka takot kasi yung speaking exam eh haha grabe ang kaba ko nun...

    hi mga ser! nakuha ko na po results at sumablay nga talaga ko ng bonggang bongga sa speaking :(

    nakaka tamad magretake. anu po ba ibang options ko dito? pag subclass 457, need pa din ba all 7 sa ielts?

    found that there's still a chance if i will have my test results remarked. try ko po muna yung option na to kahit matagal. will then have my skills assessed by ACS while waiting for the remark result. :)

    wifey took exams last aug 4 and the results are out:

    L: 8.5
    R: 8.5
    W: 7.0
    S: 7.5
    OB: 8.0

    good enough for 10 pts and qualification for possible SS sponsorship although it would have been good get full 20 pts but still a blessing! :)

    next step, CPA Australia assessment...

    Reply to @annie23: Kung hindi ka nagmamadali, scan mo yung current result then return mo agad sa BC or IDP for remarking. In my case, inabot nang 14 weeks ang reassessment (siguro dahil sa olympics lol) although it usually takes eight. Oks lang dahil hinintay ko pa rin naman yung SS result ko, and worth it dahil nagbago ang score ko and nabawi ko yung bayad.

    hello kababayan, ano ba talaga ang band score na required ng IELTS? Kasi sa dinownload ko na AITSL guide, dapat band 7 na dw lahat from 6.5 na old policy. ano ba talaga? 7 ba? 8 or 9? hindi ba yan depende sa anong skill meron ka? thanks sa mag clarify nito.

    1) Depende sa assessing authority. in your case AITSL ..Example: IELTS- 7
    2) State sponsorship - if you are considering this, you also need to check the STATE requirement on your skills.. Example: Teacher for South Australia - 6.5
    3) DIACs requirement/Points system - minimum of 6... But you need 7 to get 10pts.

    So kung anu ang pinaka-mataas na requirement, un dapat ang makuha mo para pumasa sa assessment, state sponsorship.. and to get the maximum points sa DIAC..

    i receive good news just now! :) i-start na i process yung sponsorship ko ng employer. IT company sila sa sydney and the development manager was saying about getting IELTS and medical exams. their HR will get in touch daw today. my question is, anu po minimum na score sa IELTS pag 457 sponsorship sa sydney? all 7 pa din ba or ok na yung score ko na 7.5/7/7/6.5 (L/R/W/S)?

    regarding your question, here is a short summary:
    English language requirements
    - If you are sponsored by a party to a labour agreement, you must meet the English language ability specified in the agreement.
    - If you are sponsored by a Standard Business Sponsor, you must have IELTS test score of at least 5 in each of the four test components of speaking, reading, writing and listening.

    maraming exempted sa IELTS requirements for visa 457 example:
    - if your salary is more than AUD92,000
    - your nominated occupation is a highly skilled occupation that is on the gazetted list of English language exempt occupations

    To be honest JenVir, this is on a case to case basis - supposing you are have a very strong command in English (prolly Editor-in-Chief in a school publication back in University days) then you would prolly need less than 5 hours review of the concepts.

    One thing I can say it that, always take a practice exam at least twice before the actual examination day. This is to ensure that you are prepared on what to expect and how to answer it.

    Another point to consider is that the way the written and speaking exams are answered is quite different compared to that of a job interview or writing other forms of essay. Having a good command of the English language does not guarantee good grades (native English speakers who got less than band 7 scores had to learn that the hard way). You have to answer the questions the IELTS way.
