For NSW:

not too sure, but I believe no fees for the rest of the states.

If your combined household gross income falls under the low income bracket then you can apply for the school fee exemption. - this is what I did.

I know some people on 457 visa with dependents who do not qualify for the fee exemption opted to have their kids enrolled in a Private school. Relatively cheaper than paying the public school fees.

And yes, there were others naman who waited to get their PRs before moving their dependents.

Visa granted, finally! So happy!

Timeline (Direct hire 457, nominated role: Marketing Specialist):

Nov. 26, 2015 - Contacted by employer via LinkedIn, invited to apply. Start of multiple interviews via Skype.
Jan. 10, 2016 - Job offer from employer.
Jan. 11, 2016 - Job offer acceptance and visa requirements collection start.
Jan. 23, 2016 - IELTS exam.
Feb. 05, 2016 - IELTS exam passed (8.0 overall band score).
Feb. 15, 2016 - Visa application lodgement via migration agent.
Feb. 23, 2016 - Medicals finalised.
Feb. 24, 2016 - Immi account status changed to "Application Received."
Apr. 21, 2016 - Visa granted.

Now planning for my flight and preparing docs for dependents' visa applications.

@Moxie yep, I secured an OEC. Punta ka sa POEA(EDSA) bring your contract, visa and passport, make sure to bring copies, at least two sets. They will have to examine your contract. They are very particular on repatriation of remains and leaves. If they can't find those on your contract, they will give you a conforme form that you will provide to your Employer for them to accomplish.

What I did is to ask my employer to modify my contract to include section 12 of the Philippine Standard Contract for new hire (http://poea.gov.ph/docs/sec_various_new.pdf)
which provide details on repatriation of remains. Hence they did not ask me to provide an accomplished conforme.

They've also asked me to provide email evidence of the relocation package which details that they are paying for my ticket, initial housing and are providing relocation allowance.

You will also need to attend PDOS as one of the requirements to secure an OEC. Same building lang din but they only conduct seminar once a day(9AM) not sure if this changed already. So you may need to go back to following day for PDOS.
Cost: 100USD or equivalent - PHP POEA fee 25USD or equivalent PHP -OWWA membership fee and 2.4kPhp for one year philheath contribution.

About repatriation, does my employer need to fill up the form you linked? Hindi kasi ako recruitment agency dumaan so not sure sino pipirma sa dulo. Or you meant isama lang nila ung clause 12 sa contract ko? Problema kasi e wala sa contract nila un pero sa Medical coverage ko with Frank meron. Pwede ba refer na lang si POEA sa FRANK medical cover documentation ko?

Also, required ba OEC paalis? Ang mahal kasi. Pwede ba pagbalik na lang sha asikasuhin or while nasa Au na?

@aanover ay wait, cfo pdos ata kinuha ko na sched. Sa mga immigrants lang ata yun? Ano ba pagkakaiba nun sa POEA pdos? I'm so confused na lol.

Looking at the POEA oec procedure, aside from the contract etc, pdos, eh kelangan pa daw ng medical? Oh my gosh. Nagpa medical na ko for visa then medical uli for oec? Umulit ka ba medical?

Also, kelangan ba notarized ung job contract and offer? Or ok lang kahit print out?

@Moxie, same case tayo. Direct hire din ako. Yung employer ko sa Manila sila din ang employer ko dito sa AU. So pinadagdag ko lang yung repatriation clause sa employment contract na pinirmahan namin. Tapos yung prinout nun na yung prinovide ko sa POEA (Edsa Ortigas) for assessment.

If you are bound for Australia, hindi na need magpamedical, since requirement sya ng visa. Hindi na ako iningiian ng medical.

Yes required ang OEC satin, since sa immigration, iingiin yung printout ng visa natin, and makikita nila na working visa(457) yung hawak natin. Meron akong kasabayan before sa POEA, hindi sila pinalampas ng immigration ng walang OEC.

Yes correct, PDOS conducted by CFO is for permanent residents. 457 visa holders will need to do the ones conducted by POEA.

Sydney ka din diba? sabay na kayo punta dito ng kids and partner mo?

POEA Processing Fee - 100USD = 4422.12PHP
OWWA Membership Fee - 25 USD = 1105.53PHP
PAG-IBIG Membership - 100.00PHP
Philhealth-Medicare2 2400.00PHP
Total of 8027.65PHP

@DreamerA, yes may Kamahalan. On a lighter note, since may OEC ka na, you are exempted to pay travel tax and terminal fee.. Reduced cost naman if may dependents.

@newboy 7am palang nasa POEA na ako. Madaming tao eh. If hindi nagdown yung system nila, nakaabot pa ako sa PDOS for that day. I had to got back the next day for PDOS then after that nakuha ko na agad yung OEC ko. So if complete docs ka naman, and very early you can complete everything in one day. At most two days.

@newboy bale yung employment contract ko, originally walang repatriation of remains. So pinamodify ko sa employer ko yung contract to include yung section ng repatriation of remains. Tapos yung updated employment contract na may pirma ko at ng employer -printout nun, yun yung dinala ko sa POEA for assessment.
