@MissM good point by @Xiaomau82 yeah ipa assess mu na lang all work episodes mo sa BA. Para sa akin ha Bachelor's degree yan since 5-year course ka, wala naman bearing I think kung BA or programmer piliin mo with regards to qualification. A Bachelor degree must have:
20% ICT content for a 5 year course. The ICT content must progress through all years of the program with the final year being at an advanced level.

Yung BA or Programmer part will matter if it is closely related or not to your course w/c in turn will determine how many years of related experience they will require from you.
Bachelor Degree or Higher with an ICT Major
 If your degree is assessed as having an ICT major which is closely related to your nominated occupation, you will require 2 years relevant work experience completed within the past 10 years or 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history (whichever provides the earliest skill date) to meet the suitability criteria.
 If your degree is assessed as having an ICT major which is NOT closely related to your nominated occupation, you will require 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history to meet the suitability criteria.

I have several position titles on different companies. I think I have 5 work references on hand. Should the 5 notarized work references be scanned into 1 file and filename should be "Reference" as it is the attachment type? Or it should be 5 PDF files? If that's the case I wonder if I can use Reference, Reference1, Reference2.. etc as their filenames.

Yey! Sinubmit ko nung Sat yung documents. So Stage 1 sya.

Kaninang 9am, Stage 2 na, tapos 10am, Stage 4 na huhuhuhuh.

Ako nag submit last tuesday, kinabukasan stage 2 then friday nag stage 4. stage 4 padin until now. nakaka tense nga mag hintay ng result. hehe

@guenb okay po. Pero years back, pinapadala sya thru post or courier? Nagbaback read kasi ako, kaso page 4 palang ako.

Also, yung isang COE ko, hindi regular employee yung nakalagay, independent contractor. Tsaka walang nakaindicate na full time or rendered 40 hrs work. Hindi ba nila tatanggapin as valid yun? But may detailed job descriptions po.

@ladymamba24 maybe dati kasi pwede yung through post /mail na applications that's why pinpdala. Currently kasi online na. For your COE baka pwede pa revise mo na lang? Check mu guideline dito:

Each employment reference must contain:
• Start and Finish Dates of Employment – these should be specific dates in a DD/MM/YY format
• Description of Duties Performed – Required to determine the relevance of the experience to
the nominated occupation
• Hours worked - Full time or Part time –must be a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Country where Employment was undertaken
• Company Letterhead and signed by the author
• Certification as a valid copy

@guenb hala, even the date format strict ba sila? Huhu! Mine kasi is in MMM dd, YYYY format. (E.g. January 1, 2010.)

@guenb and walang date when the COE was written yung 2 previous employments ko. Start date and end date lang with MMM DD, YYYY format. Haay

@ladymamba24 don't worry about the date format, okay lng yun. Yes mas important yung start & end date lalo na previous work episodes. Yung date written naman mag matter lang if it's your current job kasi usually diba e issue nila example: January 2016 up to present. Sa ganitong case mag matter yung written date, yun kasi e consider na end date ng ACS for your current job.

@ladymamba24 yes tama para safe, check mu yung guidelines may sample dian, it does not have to look the same pero mgandang basis sia para malaman kung anu ba dpat yung nsa work reference

@guenb ok po, actually nakita ko naman yan before, di ko lang alam bakit namiss ko yung date format and written date i-check sa naissue na COEs ko. I guess masyado ako nagfocus dun sa detailed job descriptions.

Anyways, nag-email na lang din ulit ako to request another set of COEs from my previous employers. Sana mabilis lang. Pero if in case wala pa rin yung mga yun by the time na magpapasa na ako (may inaantay pa akong birth certificate), pwede ko naman na siguro isubmit yung available COEs ko with me. Provide ko na lang yung updated once sabihin nila na kulang info sa sinubmit ko.

@ladymamba24 again, no issue nga sa date format, okay na yun. Yung written date para lang yun sa current job mo. You don't need to contact your former employers regarding that, yng tungkol na lang sa walang nka indicate na full time employee ka. Don't stress out too much, sa ACS btw you dont need birth certificate, photo page of your passport will do.

Hello po! I've been reading through this thread for quite some time. I appreciate all the helpful information everyone gives out here. I'm a Management Accounting graduate with 10 yrs IT Experience. PTE ko is R-82 L-90 W-90 S-90. I'm hoping if anyone can guide me in the ACS assessment. Given my course is Accounting, mai possibility po ba mkaka claim ako points through ACS for my degree? or should I nominate the accounting skill and forget about IT? Thank you!

@Krisdi you have to give more info, like saying 10yrs of IT experience is that for the same occupation? Given your course is non-IT you have to go through RPL in ACS, all info can be found at https://www.acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0020/7319/Skills-Assessment-Guidelines-for-Applicants.pdf
Through RPL they will require you 6years of related IT work & to have points in degree, usually you will have to go through points advice via VETASSESS, they will be the one to assess if Bachelor or Diploma equivalent.

@guenb Thanks po for the info! I've read about it but just didn't quite understand. Salamat sa explanation! Regarding the statement "usually you will have to go through points advice via VETASSESS, they will be the one to assess if Bachelor or Diploma equivalent." Does that mean magbabayad ako for another assessment through VETASSESS? or will that be covered under the ACS assessment? I've also heard from other people na ACS will deduct "x" number of years from my IT work experience because I have a non-IT degree. Yun na ba ang 6 years na requirement?

@Krisdi based on what Ive read from other members ACS will make a recommendation to have the points test advice since they can't assess your non-IT degree. This is a separate fee and you can check this at the VETASSESS website. Yes the deductible years is the 6years I pointed out, but take note it should be assessed as related to your nominated occupation by ACS.

Just got my result today!

AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing

The following employment after June 2008 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled
level and relevant to 261312 (Developer Programmer) of the ANZSCO Code

sayang hindi pa naging 8yrs experience ung credited. hehe

Para sa mga nag tatanong ng format ng stat dec ito po link sample ng ginamit ko. na credit naman siya.

Hello, I am just new here. I have a question, yung ACS status ko yesterday was In Progress then this morning, it was changed back to With Assessor. Actually, I was expecting result since In Progress na status nya. May naka experience na ba ng ganito scenario? Thank you.
