@trixie@yahoo.com you can have statutory declaration signed by a former superior then attach old copies of resume or itr, any evidence. You dont need to remove it from resume, will you be claiming pts for it?

Hi @guenb actually wala na kasi means na makakuha even ung dati kasamahan sa work. mas okay nga sana kung makakakuha ng points pandagdag. but ang worry ko if hahanapan na kami ng proof wala na kami mapapakita. kaya di pa naming mapasa resume dahil di naming Makita ibang cert at coe. pag ganun po ba dapat I remove na lang sa resume?

Wow! bilis ng results ng ACS ah. Just got my results this morning. Akala ko 12weeks talga, mga 2 weeks lang inabot sakin.

AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing ako tapos 2 years ang binawas. Thank God!! Nominated occupation ko yung Software Engineer, BS CompE yung course ko.

Bilis a, congrats!

Maraming salamat ulit sa mga sumagot. Hinihintay ko pa ngayon yung reference nung former employer na akala ko sarado na na bukas pa pala. Ayos ng ibang requirements in the meantime at isip ng diskarte kung papaano hihingi ng reference sa current employer. Mukhang okay naman kausapin yung boss ko, pero that will probably kill any chance of promotion.

di ko nga inexpect yung feedback agad eh, even though I always check acs site regarding sa status ko everyday. so now my main focus would be taking and passing ielts.

yung sakin, hinintay ko muna mag take effect yung salary appraisal (which is super liit lng ng increase) after nun I asked for COE sa current employer ko. So now, alam na ng manager ko na I'm processing my application for Aus Visa. It may probably kill your chances for promotion, but it could go the other way around and they would convince you to stay with them (probably give you a bond after a business trip) if you're a good employee.

@greatsoul pano yung PTE mock tests? is it software based?

Yes please do share also, and how much yung PTE exam? mas madali ba yun compared to IELTS? Currently studying IELTS kasi. Ano kaya yung pros and cons ng dalawa? (IELTS and PTE Exam)

@tomangelo I have taken both IELTS and PTE. I prefer PTE.

Ito lang masabi ko about them:

PTE
- mas madali maatain yung target score mo kung kagaya ko na need ng 79+. Hindi ko man nakuha ung target score ko sa first take, pero isang band lang naman which is speaking

)
- mas mabilis results/ mas madali makapagschedule agad
- mas nasa comfort zone para sakin kasi computer based yung exam di masakit sa kamay sa writing at hindi ko na kailangan bilangin pa kung nakakailang words na ba ako

)
- the whole process just takes 3 hours.

CONS :

- pag first time magtake nakakailang at nakakadistract yung maririnig mo yung mga kasabay mo na nageexam during speaking part. Yung setup kasi ay parang sa office lang na may mga cubicle lang bawat isa at magkakatabi.
- madaming iba ibang types yung exam na sa una overwhelming kasi madami dami ka dapat ipractice. Sa IELTS kasi pag reading, reading lang talaga magbabasa lang. Dito kasi sa PTE combination palagi.Listening na may speaking, reading na may speaking, etc.

IELTS
- yung speaking nila is done in a private room na wala makakarinig sayo unlike sa PTE
- IMHO mas madali reading. generous yung time for the activity. Medyo tingin ko kasi maikli yung time na binibigay sa PTE although natapos ko naman reading ko dun.
- no combined tests. Gaya ng nasabi ko sa taas kapag reading, basa lang then write the answer. Listening, listen then write the answer.

CONS
- matagal results. 13days.
- manual yung pagsagot. Sa totoo lang sumakit kamay ko sa writing. Bibilangin ko pa yung words na nagamit ko kung umabot ba

)
- tagal ng process ng registration. It takes almost 2 hours ata?
- hiwalay pa venue ng speaking and exam and minsan separate days pa. Medyo hassle for me lalo na pag natapat sa work day.

These are just from what i experienced.andami ko pala nalagay na cons sa IELTS

Price for both are the same around 9k+ pero may promo code sila na binigay dito for PTE that gives 10% discount yung PTE2015 na code

kahit mejo na off topic na tayo dito hehe. try ko nalang siguro muna yung ielts, sayang yung bayad ko sa niner eh. hehe

gusto ko lang kasi tlaga ma achieve yung 20 points eh, pero sabi nung ceo sa niner ang hirap mag 8.0 sa writing. mga 10% lang ata nakaka 8 per exam. Not being pessimistic, pero kaya mejo aral ako ng mabuti ngayon.

Nag IELTS muna ako before PTE-A. Akala ko kasi dati IELTS lang accredited yun pala pati PTE-A puwede. Anyway, nag review class ako sa IELTS, nag exam sa IELTS, tapos tsaka ako nag PTE. Kung PTE review, mga 2 weeks ako nagbabad kakareview and watch ng videos online. Nakatulong rin talaga yung IELTS review class and exam ko. I wouldn't suggest taking IELTS before PTE though. Kasi mas mahirap talaga IELTS.

My details:

Age: 31
Course : BS ECE (Batch 2006)
Total Work Experience : 10 years 4 months
Position: Lead Systems Engineer

Eto po ang aking mga tanong:

1. Tama po ba na unahin ko ang ACS assessment?
2. Regarding COE, ang original po ba ang ipa notarize? or yung scanned copy?

1. yes, una talaga acs skills assessment, then aftr that u can take the english test (ielts or pte academic)
2. Photocopy ng original ung dapat ipanotaryo.

Hi Guys,

Need lang po advise and pointers.
Pagkakasyahin ko na sa isang post lahat ng info.
I am a graduate of B.S. Industrial Engineering from a known college institute.
I started working as an IT Business Analyst in an ERP company and left with total experience of 12 months.
I then transferred to and worked as a Systems Analyst/ Programmer in an EDI company with total experience of 52 months (Nov2010-Feb2015).
I am currently working as an Application Support Analyst for an IS department of the Client in a BPO company with total working experience of 12months.
Having said all those info, i hope it could help you give me an advise regarding applying for:
261111 - ICT Business Analysts
261112 - Systems Analysts
(Still thinking which suits my experience yet)...

I've read the Assessment Guidelines and in my own interpretation, B.S.I.E. is way too off aa an ICT related course.

I don't want to be dealing with migration agents because of expensive services. Di naman po ako ganun ka-able to pay for their services yet. Lahat naman po ng nakausap ko at kilala ko from my previous work and education, sariling sikap lang din po sila.

I badly wanted to move to Australia with my family of course, after ko marealize na i really have to. Being there in Melb for 6 weeks business assignment (current company-client), i've enjoyed my stay and have that gut feeling, eto na talaga gusto ko.

Can you please share me some inputs, information, advise, help or whatever you may call it. I'd be very thankful to all of you.

ICT Major - Minus 2 years
ICT Minor - Minus 4 years
Non ICT - Minus 5 to 6 years.

So kung non-ICT ang course mo, in your case, IE, baka mag deduct po ng 5 years sa experience mo.

kung let say ang position mo is ICT related and experience mo is 6 years.

babawasan po ng 5 years. Then 1 year nalang ang ma ccredit para sa experience points.

Baguhan lang din po ako. pero eto po pagkaka intindi ko.

@sizzlingralph check mo ano category ang school mo. If catergory 1 yan then you should have no problem makakuha ng degree. With regards sa experience, make sure that yung mga job description related doon sa ACS guidelines. Make sure atleast 65% ng ginagawa mo pasok sa code. Hindi kaylangan palagay sa HR lahat ng ginagawa. Palagay mo lang kung ano hinahanap ng ACS.
