@kittykate hello. Nasa Victoria ako. Ang hirap maghanap ng work sa pharmacy kasi kailangan meron ka certificate.

@Ronafel yes that's true, tapos nag aapply din ako as pharmacy assistant need din s2/s3 cert so naghanap ako ng kukunan ko ng s2/s3 na cert kaso need pala employed or kung pwede makiusap sa pharmacy na mag volunteer which is parang ang hirap. huhu

@kittykate @Ronafel @kahjpp07 Hi, I'm currently working as Pharmacy Assistant dito sa Melbourne, pharmacist din ako sa atin. Nagkaroon kami ng vacancy lately lang. Yes, kailangan ng Cert 3 para maging pharmacy Asst. I was just lucky kasi yung napasukan ko, they let us study. If anyone of you can do full time work, pwede kong ipass resume ninyo.

@kahjpp07 Oo sa community pharmacy. Pag gusto mo ng hospital, iba rin yung cert na kailangan. Actually nagulat nga ako na magkaiba yung Dispensary Tech course ng hosp at sa community. Pinakuha rin kasi ako nun eh tinanong ko run sa trainer sabi niya iba raw yung sa hospital. Mukhang malabo pag online lalo na wala ka rito sa Au.

@sab2 Hi, dito sa Au ang prescription paper nila ay uniform. Pharmacies here use certain softwares to record the medications. Unlike sa atin na mano-mano nating sinusulat yung natitira pang gamot, dito they give out repeat forms. They also put necessary stickers on the box. Ang supply ng gamot is usually per box, walang tingi, hehe Liability wise, mabigat dito because people here really exercise their rights and are very bold and frank. They can always sue you even for small mistake. We don't hand in prescription-only-meds if a customer doesn't have a prescription unlike sa atin. Their guidelines here are different from USA (where we patterned ours). May mga gamot rito na di kailangan ng script like Ventolin pero needs the approval of Pharmacist bago ibigay sa customer. May mga vitamins sa atin na wala rito like Cherifer at yung Zinc and Vit C syrups. Wala ring formula rito for pregnancy. They really have stringent regulations.

Lastly, ang Pharmacy Assistant rito dapat may Cert 3 in Community Pharmacy. Pag sa dispensary ng community pharmacy, may additional qualification na required which is the Dispensary Tech Course.

@kahjpp07 Yung sa company namin, may 1day na whole day training then for the rest of the year may mga modules na gagawin then iaassess ka sa mismong store. Ewan ko lang pag sa mga educational institution.

@chetbondoc Hi, Welcome sa pinoyau.

Yung sa akin kasi dependent ako ng hubby ko na nurse, yun yung naging pathway ko to migrate here in Au. For RPh, ang alam ko nasa CSOL pa siya. To be able to work here as a pharmacist, kailangan mong maipasa yung series of exams and be assessed by APC if you're a Hospital or Retail Pharmacist and VETASSESS if you're an Industrial Pharmacist. Then after, i think pwede ka ng magapply for migration thru state nomination basta enough yung points mo. God bless.

@chetbondoc Ayos lang, im happy to help. Unfortunately, di ako masyadong familiar with the process as I didn't go through with it. Check mo na lang etong website nila. Nandiyan yung steps and documents na kakailanganin mo.

Ang huling pagkakaalam ko may nagooffer ng review sa Pinas, yung Brex Pharmacy Review Center. Maybe you can call them and ask about the process. Hopefully, someone can share their experience with you.

@chetbondoc email mo lng ung aims na ur interested to apply then they will ask u to send ur cv then they will set an appointment, frm there explain nila sayo ur possible points and stages of application. wala ka nmn babayaran kc free assessment un.

@Heprex Hi, for Pharmacist medyo mahaba-haba at matagal yung process. She needs to be assessed for eligibility then afterwards kailangan niyang magtake ng written exam, oral exam at need din ng internship. Once na matapos siya pwede na siyang magregister as Pharma rito then be assessed by APC then pag may positive assessment pwede na siyang magapply for state sponsorship, 457, etc.
