Hmm... walang nakalagay sa assessment kung closely-related o hindi, pero "AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in Computing" seems closely-related. Ayon sa guidelines nila

 If your degree is assessed as having an ICT major which is closely related to your nominated
occupation, you will require 2 years relevant work experience completed within the past 10 years or 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history (whichever provides the earliest skill date) to meet the suitability criteria.

 If your degree is assessed as having an ICT major which is NOT closely related to your nominated occupation, you will require 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history to meet the suitability criteria.

So maaari ngang na-assess siya as not closely-related. ~~Puwede kayang i-clarify without committing to a formal appeal?~~

@jp1978 Ako din, 4 yrs yung deduction ko. 10+ yrs work experience ko at related lahat sa 263111 code. Aqf bachelor degree w/ a major in computing. Not sure kung dahil ba ECE course ko at section 2 yung school ko kaya 4yrs deduction.

@jp1978 normal yan. BS CS/IT lang ang -2 years sa work exp usually pag under 2613 ang occupation. Kulang ang engineering sa programming subjects.

Section 1 din ako at engineering din.

Hi @iamdhey, di na need yung cedula no. , yung pinasa ko wala nun blank lang. nkalimutan ko nga den iattach yung business card or id ng nasa stat dec. ko pero naapprove pa den ako at ambilis wala pa 2wks.

Tanong lang po...bale sa current work ko,ayaw nila ako bigyan coe with jd,wala din gusto pumirma ng stat dec para sakin...2yrs and 3mos din sana to...plano ko ipasa na lang yung 3yrs ko sa dati kong work...

Tingin nyo ok na ipasa ko na to kaht wala yung current employer ko?2 companies pa lang napapag trabahuhan ko...so bale 5yrs and 3mos sana kaso ngayon,mukhang 3yrs na lang mapapa assess ko

ECE ako,section 1 school and plan ko inominate computer network and systems engineer na work.

@guenb nag try ako mag approach dun sa isa sa one rank higher than me,he declined..dun daw ako sa manager ko...dun naman sa manager ko,hnd nya pinansin email ko..inemail ko na sakanya yung affidavit para mareview nya..hndi nya ko sinagot..tingin ko hindi sya masaya sa naging desisyon ko mag try.

Sure naman na ako na 0pts sa work experience nito pag wala current employer ko...hoping na maka 5pts kung ma assess lahat talaga.

@Ern kaya nga dun ka na ka team mate mo...at least yun pwedeng kausapin. Who knows diba tanggapin nman ng ACS, provide ka din contact info nung mg sign at id nia. Mas okay na yun kasi mhirap yung mga what if na scenario. Tapos kuha ka na lng din generic coe from hr, for support lng. Wala tayong magagawa my mga managers tlaga na hindi supportive.

One time ng ask din ako sa manager ko mgpa sign ng affidavit, ayaw nia din pumirma siguro lasi legal doc yun alam mu yun reluctant sila sa mga ganyan. Nswerte lng ako na yung hr knausap ko tlaga about sa requirements ayun ginawan ako with jd.

Good Evening tanong ko lang po kung kailangan ko pa gumawa ng affidavit stating the reason why hindi ako makapagbigay ng COE, tapos tsaka iaattach yung statutory declaration? TIA

@guenb salamat sa input..oo tama ka dyan,legal docu kasi kaya ayaw nila. One wk na since nag email ako sakanya,up until now wala padin sya sagot. Eto na lang kulang ko,meron na ko generic coe from hr.

@sdgurl4JC nanigurado na ko, baka hanapin eh.. medyo natagalan din ako kasi yung manager ko hesitant magbigay ng govt id number.. masyado daw personal.. todo explain pa ko na nasa notarial law yun.

Hello mga Kaibigan,

Malapit ko na makuha yung mga detailed COE ko at need your inputs dito sa ipapa-assess ko sa ACS.

Course: BS ECE, graduated 2010
School: Letran-Calamba (section 3)
Employment: HPE (April 2011 - March 2015) - (ITO Svc Delivery Cons) Storage and backup Admin
ANZ Manila (March 2015 - to date) - Storage Engineer
Total EXP: 5yrs and 6 months

Question:
1. Anyone familiar with my role? Should I claim it as "261112 - Systems Analysts" or "263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer"
2. Possible ba madeduct ng EXP to claim points?
If nakuha ko si Bachelor Degree - 15 points
If makuha ko si buong 5 years - 10 points?
If minalas at na deduct - 5 points?

Need your help guys. Thanks!

 If your qualification is assessed as AQF Diploma or higher and with insufficient ICT content, you will require 6 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history, plus a suitable Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) application to meet the suitability criteria.
Work Experience Only – Recognition of Prior Learning
 If you do not hold any tertiary educational qualifications, you will require 8 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history, plus a suitable Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) application to meet the suitability criteria.

so it's 6 or 8 years deduction

@Heprex sa hardware ka naman so I'm guessing mas malapit 263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer. For deduction my possibility na 2years pwede din 4. Considering 5years yung ECE eh Bachelor equivalent nman yan. So I think you have assurance of 15pts if ACS will assess you as suitable.

@guenb Thanks! so for "Overseas Work Experience" if ma deduct ako ng 2 years, 3 years lang pede ko i-claim tama? so it will be 5 points lang?

@guenb yup, dyan din ako nag bbase kung ano ino-nominate kong occupation, pero halo talaga, hahahah kaya nalilito ako. Kaya plan ko is System Analyst muna, then kung i-recommend naman nila sa Computer Network and Systems Engineer. tanggapin ko na lang.

Sa english ko pala tlaga mababawi ang points.

@guenb 1 week lang sa akin total. siguro mga 3-4 days sa stage 4.

@Heprex alam ko bro pag section 3 ang madalas na assessment is Diploma (10 points) tapos 5 year deduction minimum. Based sa mga naexperience ng ibang forumers at ibang kilala ko.
