@mind_control yup. chemist under stream 2 of NSW. Pero this was before maremove syung chemist sa list ng csol .

@purplehaze hello po uli. gaano po nyo katagal inantay yung visa 190 nyo? and naiisip ko po kasi yung Chemistry Technician ay nasa Visa 190 pa. Ano pong tingin nyo kung ito kaya ang ipa-assess natin? Thanks po and more power!

BTW, I tried for the NSW Stream 2 but I was not allowed to submit my EOI kasi wala daw a list ang Chemist. Will try Chemistry Technician and see what happens.

@markier87 you will need to have your skills assessed under chemistry technician

@mind_control as long as you can prove that you do the tasks described under chemistry technician by ANZSCO. Sometimes it's easier to get assessed for a lower qualification than the other way around.

Thanks for the info Ma'am. The skills are almost exactly the same and "Chemist" would have been a higher qualification yet they would still require a separate assessment.

Hello. I am a Singapore-based Pinoy chemist. Sa mga nandiyan na po sa Australia, ano po ang implication kung 190 visa (Chemistry Technician) ang kunin ko instead of 186 (Chemist)? Makakaapekto po ba yun sa job na pwede ko apply an?Maraming salamat po.

@mj_eugenio I'm not too sure. Same dilemma here. I'm hoping ibalik nga nila ang "Chemist" by July pero baka mawala nga ang "Chemistry Technician".

Still trying to put up the money to be reassessed as "Chemistry Technician".

How about you? Nagpa-assess ka na ba?

As of today, only SA and TAS and merong Chem. Technician sa list nila. This may change pa by June. Planning to be assess as a Chemistry Technician as well din soon.

Hi po. Chemistry graduate po here and about to take the board exams next week. Gusto ko din po talaga mag-work sa Australia. Any suggestions po on what field po ang dapat ko pasukin? Food? Pharma? Oil? And what companies to aim po? Alin po ang in-demand dyan sa Australia? Maraming salamat po!

@Kimiko Hi! So far wala na sa list ang "Chemist". Only "Chemistry Technician" ang available for limited states. Different industries ang malakas in different states so better look at your desired state and see what's available (job-market wise).

Hi ms @RheaMARN1171933! I'd just like to ask if it would be still strategic to continue processing a visa 190 (chemistry tech) at this time given that only SA is open for that skill under special conditions and i haven't started anything yet. Hoping for your response. Thank you.

@cjgr that’s a personal choice I must say since no one can ever predict the available options by the time one is ready to lodge the EOI. At your own risk.

I always tell clients/prospective clients not to delay things if they are serious about moving and they meet the eligibility requirements. To focus more on gaining a positive skills assessment since it’s valid for a few years. That way, it will be so much easier to be strategic and action things once your formal documents are complete.

Unfortunately, I’m not in the position to tell you whether to pursue your plans or not. It’s not within my hands to decide on that. You need to make your own call on this as anything could happen which may fall within or against your favour. All the best!

@cjgr, try mo na din sir. Chemist din ang wife ko. Nung nag-umpisa kaming magprocess ng docs para sa vetassess last year, nawala sa MLTSSL ang chemist, kaya nagpa-assess na lang as Chem Tech, tapos sa NSW stream 2 na lang. Sa SA, special conditions na ang Chemtech. Matagal nag-antay, walang invite, tapos nawala na din sa list ng NSW. Pero nag-open sa SA ang Chemtech nung July, kaya EOI ulit sa SA. Awa ng Diyos, nainvite na kami, hopefully grant na soon.

Ang bilis ng changes sa skills list ng Oz, kaya kung may pagkakataon, grab agad. Di pa special conditions ang Chemtech nung July. Kaya halimbawang mag-open ulit ang Chemtech next year, ready na ang docs na kailangan mo. Di na aabutin ng special conditions.

@ignorms Thank you po sir for encouragement. Actually dati ang target ko is nsw kasi may sister ako dun kaso nahirapan ako sa english proficiency.Ask ko lang din, gano katagal from eoi to mainvite yung wife niyo po?

@cjgr same tayo, may relatives din kami nsw kaya madali lang sana kung dun. Pero kung inantay pa din namin nsw, baka expire na pte at vetassess bago pa mainvite. Sobrang frustrating mag-antay, hanggang sa nawala na sa skills list ng NSW.

Nasa 12 weeks din ata from EOI to invite. July nung nag-open ang Chemtech sa SA. EOI agad after mag-open. After a few weeks, special conditions na ang Chemtech. 4th week September dumating ang invite, lodge agad within the week of invite. Prepared na kasi lahat, Medicals at NBI na lang ang kinuha namin.

Nakatatlong take din wife ko ng PTE-A bago makakuha ng proficient. Kakayanin mo yan! Wag mong susukuan, nakasalalay na pangarap mo dyan.
