    Hi guys. Pasali sa thread. Im currently planning to apply for 476. As of now, i haven't done anything yet except gathering info. Gusto ko lang sana linawin yung "2-years-after-graduation" rule. Pano yun, 2 years after grad dapat granted ka na ng visa? I graduated on October 2011 sa Elbi. EE pala ako. :D

    @iammaxwell1989 So ok lang more than 2 years after grad ma-grant ang visa as long as the lodging of application happened within the 2-year period? :) Then you're still given at most one more year to stay in the Phil? Gusto ko lang kasi malaman if it's possible for me to stay with my current work until June 2014.

    Wow, sounds great. Baka magkakilala pala tayo? dominick is not my real name. Haha :D

    @dominick yup..
    - you have 2 years to lodge your application.
    - application process is around 3 months
    - normally, you will have max 1 year to make the entry (they based the initial entry deadline from Police Clearance and Medical date + 1 yr)

    example:
    - you graduated Oct 2011, you have until Sept 2013 to apply
    - approved after 3 months, that will be Dec 2013..
    - then your intial entry deadline will be Nov 2014

    In our case, my gf does not need to take IELTS for the visa 476 application, but she will have to take them because she needs it as a pre-requisite for the bridging program, and later on for APHRA registration.

    And another thing, will you not need yung IELTS score mo pag nag-aapply ng trabaho? =)

    Hi po! is it ok to ask for the step by step process (documents needed etc) sa pag-apply for visa 476 and then if how much ang reqd fee (estimate)? medyo magulo po kasi 'yong sa immi site. Thank you so much! :D

    Ei. mga masters. Help. NAATI. Gusto ko pong i-avail ang +5 points from NAATI. I have read threads regarding NAATI, pero malabo pa din. Since I know that later on, 476ers will soon apply for PR visa, we might as well discuss NAATI.

    You take it to be a registered Translator (ANZSCO Code 272413) and Interpreter (ANZSCO Code 272412). You get 5 bonus points when you pass the test.

    @Birhen_ng_Guadalupe welcome back.. ang tagal mong nawala...
    OMG ngayon ko lang ito nabasa haha! namiss nyo ba ako! Same month and year tayo ng IED. Kailan ka punta ng OZ?

    Aba'y naging live-in/kasalan na pala itong thread na ito hehe.

    Good luck sa mga 476 applicants! If you do intend to migrate permamently, I'd suggest na basahin niyo rin yung requirements ng 190/189 visa para ready na rin! Honestly it was easier for 476 visa holders nung 2010 and early 2011 to become PR kasi mataas ang points ng skill assessment alone noon. Eh yung sa EA, na-approve sila kahit thesis nila sa college yung CDR nila. Ngayon important na rin yung work experience.

    @fritz First things first. Make sure you are eligible. Dapat graduate ka ng engineering course from UP within 2 years prior to lodging the application. Kailan ka ba nag-graduate?

    Your initial step is to take the IELTS. You only need at least 6 in all the test modules to qualify for Visa 476. But if you're planning to push through with PR in the future, better get at least 7 or at least 8 in all modules.

    Initial documents you need to prepare include TOR, Diploma, English translation ng diploma, birth certificate, and the IELTS results form.

    Here's my cost estimate :

    IELTS : 9,000 PhP
    Visa App Fee : 315$ (approx 15000PhP)
    Medical : 6,500PhP
    Clearance : 500PhP
    Miscellaneous : 5,000PhP
    Air Fare : 15,000 PhP
    --------------------
    PhP 57,000 pre-departure expenses

    Back read ka lang masasagot almost all of your questions. =)

    @ghypez
    Why 60 points? Please share your computation if you don't mind. Uhm, i am not sure about the NAATI test, but I think IELTS 8.0 is achievable. If you get 20 points from IELTS i don't think you have to take the NAATI test. Mas mahal yata yung NAATI.

    @Birhen_ng_Guadalupe
    That's exactly what i'm doing. haha

    @max: yep. 60 points. I assume that I'll get 7.0 in IELTS. That is 10 points. 5 points for 1 year local exp. 15 points for EA. 30 points for age.

    other options: a. get IELTS 8.0 = +20
    b. NAATI = +5
    c. mag asawa ng Skilled din (assessed na din xempre) = +5

    so invest na lang ng effort and time to get IELTS 8.0 :)

    @fritz: add buffer to airfare. Say, 25k. hehe
