@Supersaiyan Yun write from dictation ba, directly type sa pc? or magtake notes muna? Ang hirap magconcentrate pag maingay, malakas ba volume ng headset? kasi baka almost same volume ng boses ng katabi. Hindi ko pa natry kaya I'm curious.

@archdreamchaser, hello po, it depends po kung san po kayo mas may advantaged. You can write or type directly sa computer screen. Yung sa headset po, you can adjust the volume before Listening test starts (you can also adjust in the middle of listening part kung masyadong malakas o mahina yung volume nila pero wag sana mawala sa focus kpg ginalaw mo volume when you're in the middle of listening). To give you a glimpse ng site, isipin mo yung call center office tpos nka headset kayo lahat at may mga kausap kayong lahat. You can hear all persons speaking simultaneously, kaya develop dapat ang focus mo sa ganong pagkakataon. Additionally, worst case scenario, maintimidate ka minsan kapag nkatabi mo fluent na malakas boses. Yaka mo yan. GODbless.

@Supersaiyan @VirGlySyl Thank you sa info. Dapat pala matindi practice talaga at magready sa maingay na environment. Manood ka nga lng ng movie na may nagsalita at the same time sobrang distracting. Anyway i will give it a try and more prayers. GOD bless din.

good evening po sa lahat. would like to seek some advice. plan ko po mag take ng PTE soon, may few clarification lang sana ako

1) do we have to bring our own headset and erasable notepad or provided na sa testing center?

2) where in manila po ba ang testing center? gaano po karami ang examiners in one room? kinakabahan ako sa maingay na testing environment sana makapag focus pa din ako..

Hi mam @michtery_aus , no need to those stuff. Pte will provide one.

Trident tower in Makati, around 12-15 pax in one session. Then try to practice speaking and other subtest in noisy environment to adapt in the real exam. Maingay talaga mam pero focus lang. Foucus on your own screen anx task course. Thanks

Hello everyone!

I've been a silent follower of this thread since last year when i decided to take PTE for superior scores. I've previously taken both IELTS GT and Acad pro d tlga nakasuperior. So i'm super thankful sa mga nagshare ng resources here kc dto lng tlga ako kumuha ng materials for review and tips and i bought d pte gold kit for self assessment, and thank God i aced it! I will try to repost the same references next week as my laptop is not with me and the links were saved there. But generally, my tips would be to familiarize yourself with the test by doing the mock exams and do a lot of reading if that is a waterloo for you. Any article and or references for collocations and new vocabularies. You should also do a lot of practice writing if you haven't done that yet coz i did my fair share of practices during the ielts reviews. For Listening, it is really just understanding what you're hearing. And sa speaking naman, speak fast, loud, properly, and a little OA. Do not be shy because all of you inside the test room will be hearing each other talk. Do not be distracted and try to refocus all the time. And if aiming for superior, do mind the time especially for reading and listening maybe. If mejo sure na sa answer, click next already. Linger a little longer only if your doubt is strong. And finally, pray a lot. Just pray for presence of mind and guidance.

@csdizon0904 in most case, dahil sa quality ng mic ang gamit during mock test kaya mababa ang speaking.

@csdizon0904, usually sa mic and rare cases kapag damage yung audio jack ng PC or Laptop mo, naexperience ko yan nung nag mock exam ako nagpoproduce ng wheezing sounds yung record ko.

@csdizon0904 I can't tell exactly but could be that the quality of speech is compromised as I had used a standard headset with microphone then (not the typical mobile phone aux earpiece). And you could consider having a speech check with the method you pronounce - should be clear and loud enough for the recording system to catch well...

Hello to everyone,
If ever po ba mag submit ako ng EOI pwede ko po bang iconsider na 8 yrs ung overseas exp na:
2 yrs -company1
5mons - company2
5yrs.7mons- company2(rehired)

for me to have higher pts kasi hindi ako confident na makaka superior sa exam ko kanina kasi hndi ko natapos ung reading kinapos sa time and pwede po ba gamitin ung discount code khit sa second take???

@Supersaiyan yes po, bachelors degree po yung assessment ko...language na lang need ko mameet yung 20 pts,PTE na lang talaga kulang ko... naisip lang namin na if 10pts lang talaga ung makuha ko while waiting maka 20pts sa language isubmit kona EOI basta gawin ko lang na 8years yung overseas exp para maka 65pts kahit ibat ibang companies yung experience makaabot lang ng 8 yrs... kaso I am not sure din if possible.... sana may maka tulong po na same case ko or familiar...

What occupation? Napa-assess m n ung overseas experiences m?
The points to be credited to your visa application will depend sa assessing body kasi sila magsasabi kung highly relevant yung experience m sa occupation na aapplyan m for VISA.

@vincechaos hello po, IE po ako tapos ung assessment po ng EA is 233914- Engineering Technologist na Bachelors Degree...

pwede ko po bang isubmit na EOI na 8yrs?
currently po kase 65pts palang with 30pts-age, 10pts language, 15pts-bachelors deg and10pts sa overseas experience which I am confuse if i-apply ko ng less than 8yrs or pwedeng 8 yrs na 15pts na maging 70pts ako...????

since I am not sure na makaka 20 pts ako sa language ko na exam ko recently if maka superior ako (while waiting maka superior) update kona lang if makuha ko na ung superior score sa PTE....

I would suggest na ipa-assess m muna sa Engineers Australia yung buong experience mo

Sila na magsasabi kung i-honor ba nila yung 8yrs or 5yrs overseas experience m. Btw, I think its better to aim for superior while waiting for the assessment. Usually sa english nagkakatalo talo sa points, kaya maganda mas mapataas m pa ung pts m at mauna ka sa invites.

I just discovered this forum and I'm very glad that I did.

Grabe! Nakakaamaze yung mga ideas and useful resources na nakita ko while backreading and a little bit of browsing. Ang galing.

Nakapagbook na ko for my exam on April 23 sa Trident Makati and currently self review na din ako. I also avail the gold kit.

I admit to myself na mahina ako sa english. Sobrang hina. Kaya pinagiigihan ko yung pagrereview using ng mga materials na nakukuha ko online.

Humihingi po ako ng tulong sa inyo na pashare naman po ng iba pang mga tips and materials na pwede kong gamitin for my review. At pasama na din po kaming mga magtetake ng exam sa mga dasal nyo na sana pare parehas kaming makapasa.

Any help will be much appreciated guys. At maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. Kudos!

Tanong lang po, dun ba sa PTE exam may time ka para mag sulat ng template (for describe image and retell lecture) before nung actual exam? Kunwari habang inaayos yung mic?

@vincechaos thanks... naassess na po ako ng EA last year bacheleor degree... hindi po nila accept na 8yrs kase 10 pts lang lumabas nung nagsubmit ako, kanina po nagsubmit na ako ng EOI para kahit 65pts palang nakasubmit na mag update nalang ako if mabago kasi lumabas na din ung PTE results ko, i'll try my best na lang mag 20pts para 75pts na...
