@paanfsurn Yung Conversion is a shortened Bachelor’s Course. You just have to apply directly to the University. Nakicredit yung qualification mo as a Ph Nurse kaya siya nagiging either 1 or 2 yrs.

@Cassey if ever po nakalagay sa website ng university graduate entry bachelor of nursing tas 2 years full time. Possible pa na mabawas ung 2 years na un pag nireview nila mga school documents mo o 2 years na talaga sya?

@paanfsurn I’m not sure how things are done on a school level. You may want to try to have your subjects accredited, but normally it is what it is. Google “Conversion Course for Overseas Nurses” you should see the schools offering the course. I think Grad Entry is different from Conversion. It’s for domestic students.

@danjoe03 There will still be BP on the first half of the year. Most schools if not all are already filled up for the 2019 intakes. I’m not sure if they will have the same format, however, questions will be different since the assessment is developed here in Australia. What we know at this stage is there’ll be 2 part Outcome-Based Assessment. First part is the Cognitive Assessment. It’s a computer based multiple choice exam. Should the candidate pass the first part, he/she can go through the next part which is the behavioural component where the applicant will have to demonstrate the nursing skills in the given scenario.

@paanfsurn Grad entry program is for those with a bachelors degree unrelated to nursing... doesn't have to be for domestic students but need iba ang degree mo noon.

@aron_drn Mukhang isang school lang ang nasa QLD... most likely if hindi makakuha ng place ang wife mo diyan she needs to go out of state muna to take the BP and return once she's finished... ganun ang ginagawa ng ibang mga tao na nasa Aus na... take the earliest BP na available at may place.

@danjoe03 depends din. Mine took 3 days to reply (july 27 and 30). And 2 trips to dhl, my mga pinahabol cla na paper from prc. And when I was referred to another RO another verification ang pinagawa. Followup mo lang cla once a week. LOE ko was released September.

@Cassey Hi Ms. Cassey ask ko lang po if magcoconversion course po need pa po ba mag OSCE after nung conversion? Thank you

@celina28 Hi, I don’t think so. I think OSCE is a replacement for BP. I can’t be 100% sure though.

@aron_drn it doesn’t mean na dahil 190 doon lang kayo ever... like bawal bumisita ng ibang state. It’s only a short course and your wife will be due to come back anyway when she finishes her BP. Operative word is intent... since short course there’s no intention to stay out of state.
BTW you tagged the wrong person...

Hello! I'm a newbie here, I found the thread very helpful. Me and my husband are currently working here in UAE for 4yrs, me as RN and my husband as nutrition sales support though he is also an RN in the Philippines. I am just curious on how and where can we start in migrating to Australia? Any response will be highly appreciated. Thank You!

@vividleslie At the moment, schools are already full for BP. That should be one of your options if you can still make it. There is an upcoming change with the RN’s assessment for International Nurses happening Mid of next year. Otherwise, you can both study Conversion Course instead which will take up to a year or 2. You have to take English test first then apply for a student visa. Once finished, you can apply for RN registration here in Au. Have your ANMAC skills assessment then apply for Skill Select and wait to be invited for PR Visa. Once invited, you can apply for PR.

@vividleslie You definitely can but before you can enroll for BP, you have to get an eligibility letter from AHPRA. For your hubby to be eligible he needs to have at least 3mos of RN experience within the last 5yrs. If AHPRA’s plan pushes through, there might not be any BP by mid of next year so think it through.

Here’s the link at least for La Trobe stating that it’s for domestic students. Check other uni if they offer it to international students.
