@zrlv . Just to be sure po. As far as I understood... OEC is required for Overseas worker/TSS482 Visa Holder primary applicant (not needed for dependents) whenever departing from PH going to the country of work.

    Yes po. Thanks!

Nung dati kaming OFW, di ganito ka-komplikado requirements.

    > @snuffbox Don't even start your TSS application if wala pang AHPRA registration and ANMAC assessment. If registered nurse position yung nomination ng employer mo, it will be rejected most likely. Check po yung details ng TSS online, you will realise that those mentioned are vital for TSS VISA application.

Physiotherapist po ako. Already emailed my Immigration agent and says that We can get our visa approved even my registration to AHPRA is still in pending. Once our visa approved, I have 90 days to complete the paperworks on registration to ahpra. Pero and tagal naman ng waiting time, June 28 pa nalodge visa until now wala pa result.

And sa OEC, ang mukhang mahihirapan akong kumuha nito since offshore application ako and no relative to process it to POLO.

@janinajastin wala pa nman akong na encounter dito sa forum na rejected yung TSS.. I think as long as granted yung employer nomination tapos ok lahat yung requirements, there's no reason para ma deny.. I applied last feb and I'm a nurse po and yes I submitted my ANMAC assessment when I applied for TSS last feb..

    Good Day to All.

Our visa was finally approved yesterday (Glory to God!). Hoping for anyone to share some information regarding sa mga queries below, I will be base in Sydney po and the office will be in Haberfield 2045.

    1. Ano ano po ba need to prepare/arrange before travelling to Sydney?

    2. Likewise, ano ba mga need agad asikasuhin as soon as I land in Sydney. Do I need to request certain days before start of work to workout some necessities like Bank, License, Medicare, etc. or all these can be done even if I start work already

    3. Recommendations for a good suburb to stay. Considerations are safe neighborhood, good primary school, affordable accommodation and hopefully good proximity to work area (Haberfield).

    4. Ano po ba mga essential things to bring for a start considering that I think I can only bring about 40kg max. for items that are hard to find, expensive and essential during the first few days/weeks of stay

    5. You two cents because we were planning na mauna muna ako for few months (target by 1st week of October) then sunod nalang ang wife and two kids (7 and 10). What could be the advantage and disadvantage of this lalo sa schooling ng mga bata.

Thank you po sa mga sasagot. God Bless us all.

Being on temporary visa, you can drive on your PH license for the duration of your visa, no need to have a Au license. Also you are not entitled to Medicare. You will need to have a bank to for your salary and TFN (tax file number).

If you're arriving by October, have wifey and the kids arrive by December for ample time to prepare for schooling specially if you intend to enrol in a Catholic school since tart of Term 1 classes is usually around the end of Jan.

By October, winter is almost over though still a bit cold so a few warm clothes would be needed.

@cucci Noted and thank you. Do you have any recommendation for Medicare and expected cost for a basic coverage. I can still arrive in AU w/o it right, but process it as soon as I am there.

Also, do you have any idea on the school... I am aware that I have to pay fees even for public, but some are saying it might be cheaper to enroll them on private school if that's the case. Thanks again.

Unless, you have special requirements, a basic coverage from any health insurance will do. Can't comment on which school because that would depend on which suburb you will be residing in and as such which primary school would be closest and/or most convenient for you and your wifey to send them into.

just my two cents sir, better look for the catchment area of around Haberfield for state schools of your kids, i believe they can take them in for next year's school term 2020 na, medyo mahirapan ka sir kung this year mo sila ipapasok kasi almost end of SY2019 na :)

@baiken do you have any specific question? My suggestion is to apply asap because kaka start pa lang ng migration year. Just send EOI for 189 and 190s (multiple EOIs depende sa saang state gusto mo). Assess yourself as well, check iscah and this forum, you can atleast estimate based sa points mo if you have a high chance or low chance on getting ITA. There's also 489 if mababa yung points mo (although home affairs will replace this on Nov with 491 i think).. If you have submitted EOI, prepare all the requirements ahead..

hmm... question lang siguro about the possibility of being granted ng PR, kung magconsider ba yung andito na ako sa australia, or same lang din ng application kung nasa pinas me, via skillselect pa din me i guess then submit an EOI for it and wait the whole process... gusto ko lang mas malaki yung chances na maging PR me and my family para at least di lang kami sa tss visa 482 nakaasa, as what you have said, yearly e nagbabago-bago yung immigration laws nila dito sa australia so maganda, ASAP e ma-apply ko na sya...

    TIA! :)

@baiken it's all about your points and the current trends with regards to your profession, that's why I suggested to check recent invitation rounds sa home affairs, ISCAH website and some other threads in this forum (check July 190/189/49 thread for example), this is to check if what is the current scores of the recent invites so that you could measure yourself if you have strong chance of getting an ITA or not. No advantages if nandito kana sa AU or if you have TSS VISA..

    Good Day to All.

    1. You two cents because we were planning na mauna muna ako for few months (target by 1st week of October) then sunod nalang ang wife and two kids (7 and 10). What could be the advantage and disadvantage of this lalo sa schooling ng mga bata.

Thank you po sa mga sasagot. God Bless us all.

just my two cents sir, better look for the catchment area of around Haberfield for state schools of your kids, i believe they can take them in for next year's school term 2020 na, medyo mahirapan ka sir kung this year mo sila ipapasok kasi almost end of SY2019 na

@baiken That is my plan sir, that's why target is to get them to follow by December at the latest. Hopefully makahanap na ng house with close proximity to a good school 2 months from the time I get there. Madali lang din ba magenroll sa Public?

if you already have a place to stay, you can already inquire sa catchment area around the suburb to see kung nag-accept na sila ng SY2020 students, then you can have both your kids in the same state school

sabi nila, same lang daw ang turo sa private and public (state) schools dito, so dun tyo sa makakamura, public :)

Hello. Question po. Sa TSS Visa(Short Stream). If nomination has been approved. How are the chances po na maapprove ung visa? May mga narereject po ba?
Also the timeline po, lodged nomination last 1st of July, but I think bec we had to wait for the medical and NBI/police clearance(submitted last July 22) we are experiencing delay on the result. Usually how long does it take to get the visa result?
    Thanks in Advance!

Nga pala, is your contract verified by POEA already? You will need OEC to be able to exit the country on a Temp Work Visa.

@tcha Ung sa akin all in all is 33 days from Visa application. If I am not mistaken nomination is different from the Visa application. In our case nomination was only 3 days then we lodge the application for visa and that was the time that we were requested for Medical and all.

I haven't read or heard about getting denied provided na ok medical, lahat ng requirement is provided and authentic and your suitability for the requirement fits (experience, degree, etc.)

    Good luck!

@cucci Thanks for the note. Hindi pa po verified ung contract. Uwi ako Pinas sa Aug. 8 till 17th (balik pa Jeddah for another month) . Ill try to find time to inquire personally sa POEA about it. But so far from the information I have gathered, it could take about a month in all just to be able to process the OEC. So either Ill fly directly from Jeddah or baka gawin ko what others was suggesting na mag tourist sa other place and fly from there to Oz.

    @jayr.cruz Thank you!
Actually, I received great news yesterday. We already have our Visa granted 😊. Took a month all in all. I was not clear dun sa msg ko above, visa ung inapply last 1st of July not nomination.
Now following post regarding OEC. I might need it too kc plan ko umuwi muna ng pinas. Currently working here in sg, but once I resign kc they will cancel na may work pass.
From what I’ve read, need ipa-authenticate sa embassy ung contract? Tama ba?

Honestly, I don't have a clear picture yet about the OEC. Kaya nga I am planning to give a visit to POEA when I go for a short vacation sa Pinas next week. Hopefully by this time they've streamlined the process already.
