Happy New Year po sa ating lahat.
Mag i expire na po ang PTE exam ko this December 2020 and wala pa po ako invite till now.
Iniisip ko magrequest ng sponsorship sa employer ko (Australia based), i am offshore based Phils,
para apply po ng visa 186...pero wla po akong makitang link para mag gather ng more info:
unsure po kung qualified ako at ano po kaya ang magandang sabihin sa employer ko?

meron toggle switch to personalize yung page for applicant and sponsor - sa upper right hand corner nung page. This will give you both applicant and sposnors information.

I moved from Manila to SYD office. Nagresearch muna ako if qualified ako i-sponsor. Then nung nagka-opening sa SYD office, jokingly I brought up the idea of applying. I told them that I had all the necessary assessments completed which will shorten the visa processing time and their onboarding process since I already know the job and what's expected of it. I was offered with work visa 457 nga lang instead of PR 186.

yung mahiwagan tanong dyan, Is your company qualified to sponsor? If they haven't sponsored any one they need to apply to become a sponsor before they can nominate you. As side from the cost of sponsorship and nomination as the employer, they must also pay the Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy It really boils down kung gusto tlga gumastos ni Employer. If may shortage naman sa staff sa Syd office nyo wala namang mawawala kung i-oopen mo yung idea of movement.

My nahanap ako na employer in Queensland, pwede ko ba sila e ask for visa 186 or 482? san po kaya ang mas mabilis and processing. sa nganyon IELTS pa lang yung meron ako, wala pang VETASSES.

A year after ng 457 visa ko, I asked my employer if they can continue sponsoring me as PR and I was lucky that they said yes to the idea but I had to pay for my 186 Visa fee.

Pinakamabilis ang 482, however that's just temporary. It is important for you to check if your occupation has PR pathway after 482. I have friends who have transitioned from 457 to 482 and been here for 6 years, arrived even before me. Sadly, during the transition, their occupation falls under Short-term stream which doesn't have PR pathway so until now temporary sila and are having a hard time getting their PRs.

Before you have your skills assessed, check your occupation from the SOL and see if your employer can sponsor you. If they sponsor you with 482, some occupation doesn't require skills assessment for 482 or they might get an immigration agent to do this for you.

From the register sir, wala yung occupation nyo sa required mag pa skills assessment for 482 visa. TRA po ang accessing body nyo in case you require one.

Hi po. May question ako regarding 186. Yung employer ko, sponsoran ako. Ang option ay 482 at 186. Ok sana 186, kaso sabi ng agent na kinuha ng employer ko, ok na number of experience ko pero sa anmac ko ay na assessed ako as RN surgical. Dapat daw sana RN aged care pra pasok ako sa 186. True po ba yun? Hoping pa rin ako khit Hndi Aged Care previous experience ko, sponsoran pa rin ako ng 186.

Ang pagkakaintindi ko pwedeng ma-deny ang sponsorship kung halimbawa Aged Care facility mag-sponsor ng surgical nurse kasi kahit parehong RN magkaiba/magkalayo ang specialization. Kung hospital walang problema. Specialized kasi ang Aged Care dito at may mga bagong regulations dahil sa cases ng abuse sa mga pasyente.

I am not well-versed with the specific requirement for your industry, however, I would just reiterate that there are 2 steps for the 186 ENS visa. First is the employer nomination part, wherein the employer has to comply with the requirements to be an approved sponsor.

You did not elaborate on the instance of the employer case with your first employer but I would reckon to guess that they were not an approved sponsor. Being an approved sponsor is technically out of your league because the employer has to provide documents to justify being a sponsor plus pay a fee between 3,000 - 5000 AUD to the Skilling Australia Fund. Your employer must also publish the job opportunity to prove that no Australian can fill the job requirement.
Those have to be complied with prior to even you considering your requirements. In many cases, the employer will hire an agent to do the job, unless the employer expects you to handle even the supposed to be employer part of the process.

@cucci, thank you so much sa message worried lang ako kung hindi ko makuha ang 6 sa IELTS, Baka hndi ako pwede sa 186. But im trying my best para makuha ung score na need ko. Kailangan lang ng advice if ever ano anong Visa kaya ang option para sakin kung hindi ako maka 6 sa IELTS. Medyo may trauma pa from last applied ko ng PR Medyo malaki nagastos dun. Yung dati Kong employer nag insist na un ang kunin namin agent kasi related sa company,yun pala may ilang case yung employer namin sa immigration kaya" employer nomination refused" Non Refundable.
Mabait ang employer ko ngayun at willing siya mag sponsor ng PR. Salamat sa thread na eto basa basa ako at marami akong nakuhang idea.

@misty If you have been working in your occupation for a certain number of years, I would presume that you can avail of recognized prior learning (RPL) to get TRA certification and may not be required English/IELTS anymore... not sure of this though.
Having worked via 457, you may be better off with the TRT scheme rather than DE stream of the 186 visa.
There are pros and cons so if you really intend to do DIY, read through the differences and weigh down the pros and cons.

@cucci,thank you so much for your reply. I already talk to skill Certified Australia regarding the RPL. It's a little bit expensive procedure but they will assure me the certificate for 6weeks since I already have the experience. But they cannot guarantee me if I can used it for permanent resident applications. I believe the best pathway for me is the 186 I just need to help myself about the english exam. My confident about the IELTS exam is below minimum hehehehe I try the practice exam and always get less than 10points both listening and reading..Thank you so much for your advice cheers

Once you lodge visa application you will be granted bridging visa which will take effect once your current visa expires and no decision has been made regarding your application.
