Hi, pwede po ba ilodge yung visa 482 onshore while I'm on visa 485 (post study visa)? My current employer will be the same employer sponsoring me for visa 482. Will my visa 485 still be in effect while my visa 482 is being processed? Matagal pa po expiry ng visa 485 ko but to speed up the process for PR, I'm transitioning to visa 482 asap. Thank you po.

    1) Ano po yung major difference ng may visa 482 at permanent residents in terms of taxes and medical benefits?
    2) May restrictions po ba sa pagbili ng properties like bahay at sasakyan?
    3) Yung sa pregnancy at panganganak po ba, self funded po? O may insurance na magpoprovide to sustain yung gastusin? I heard kasi for PRs libre lahat.

    Salamat po in advance.

    @jakibantiles,

Visa 482 po sarili kayong bbili ng insurance nyong family before the visa applications. Granted na ba yung visa nyo?

Sa pagbili ng property at sasakyan wala nmn restriction as long as afford nyo ng bumili.

Ung sa pregnancy coverage is depends on your insurance coverage.

@chachaaguirre, usually takes about 4 wks ung waiting time before the medical request. Due to high season din siguro kaya na delay. Try to follow up sa agent nyo lang din.

taxes is same lang sa 482 and PR. There's no medical benefits for 482 so you need to acquire private insurance for you and your family
PR have medicare (government medical coverage) so libre lahat as long as pubic hospitals

sa bahay and sasakyan, wala nman restrictions or problema, you can still buy.. BUT yung issue is the payment term, if 482, yung loan mo is payable within the validity of your VISA lang.. so that means if you will buy a car, you need to pay it off within the validity sa 482 VISA mo.. sa bahay naman hindi ka makakuha ng loan for 20 or 25 yrs kasi nga din sa VISA validity mo.. So for bahay, dapat PR atleast (kasi may ibang benefits pa sa mga PR sa mga fees).. sasakyan, kaya pa kahit hindi PR basta kasya sa VISA validity and affordability or if you pay full in cash..

O may insurance na magpoprovide to sustain yung gastusin? I heard kasi for PRs libre lahat.

that's true, PR libre lahat sa mga public hospitals.. plus you can get allowance from centrelink so that you can extend your maternity leave for 10 months or even for some, 1 year..
for 482 naman, balik tayo sa insurance from question 1. you needed to get insurance that includes pregnancy and birth para atleast covered plus private hospital pa.. check BUPA, HCF online to get a quote..

    Salamat po in advance.

@jakibantiles I suggest to keep your options OPEN unless may ITA kana from your 189.. If willing yung employer mo to do 186 then go for it.. pareho lang yan PR unless your not happy with the state/city tapos balak mo mag transfer then better yung 189 but only prioritize 189 if may ITA kana..

Pag public schools required sila to accept if you are within their catchment area... pag private school depende kung may available pang slot.

Hello! Ask ko lang po if may nangyari nang nakakuha ng employer sponsor by applying offshore, whether sa mga job listings online or dito sa pinas na company. Most of the stories I read sa TSS is doon sila sa Oz nakakita ng employer as a tourist or temporary visit.

Depende sa occupation. Some occupations require skills assessment and English proficiency.

    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/temporary-skill-shortage-482/medium-term-stream
    You must

    • be nominated to work in an occupation on the list of eligible medium and long-term skilled occupations
    • have at least 2 years relevant work experience in your nominated occupation or a related field
    • have a relevant skills assessment if this is required for your occupation
    • work only for your sponsor or associated entity, unless you are exempt
    • meet minimum standards of English language proficiency unless you are exempt from needing to show this

    HI Cucci

I am just after the 482 Visa at the moment. If it is not listed under "Visa", does that mean that it doesn't require a skills assessment?

This is just to buy some time to lodge the 190 visa.

    Thank you.

@engrasten I think you still need skill assessment. Check below link for 482 requirements. It also has a list for those occupations that doesn't need the assessment.

i would say, expenses for traveling po, if you will buy a car, need to shell out for the petrol and for buying a second hand car, mahirap po kasi mag-ikot dito lalo na at yung mga buses/trains nila comes at 15-30 minute intervals minsan (from where I am at, pag gabi, minsan 1hr interval na after 6pm) :(

also need to consider yung internet provider nyo po, if kukuha kayo ng fixed line, or kung via mobile carrier... mahal po ang data nila dito, may limit ang plans, at kapag sumobra po kayo, magbabayad ng extra :(

pag may naisip po ako mam, sabihin ko pa hehe :)

    all the best!

    God Bless!

i would say, expenses for traveling po, if you will buy a car, need to shell out for the petrol and for buying a second hand car, mahirap po kasi mag-ikot dito lalo na at yung mga buses/trains nila comes at 15-30 minute intervals minsan (from where I am at, pag gabi, minsan 1hr interval na after 6pm) :(

also need to consider yung internet provider nyo po, if kukuha kayo ng fixed line, or kung via mobile carrier... mahal po ang data nila dito, may limit ang plans, at kapag sumobra po kayo, magbabayad ng extra :(

pag may naisip po ako mam, sabihin ko pa hehe :)

    all the best!

    God Bless!

Very timely ito at currently nag-aapply for exemption yung employer ko. Hoping for a positive result! :D

Pwede ka naman mag motor if like mo.

No need for employer to pay sponsorship costs for dependents, covered na ito sa primary applicant.
