Hi, meron po ba dito may flight din MNL-SYD via PAL on June 27? Magtatanong lang sana po ako if may same situation gaya ng saamin. May email kasi kami natanggap kanina po for seat re-assignment, and first time flyers po kami so nagulat din kami and first time namin maka encounter ng ganto sa big move pa namin. Nagttry naman ako as of now magcontact sa helplines ni PAL. Thank you po.

Hello! That happened to me a number of times. usually kapag magchange sila ng plane ay ganyan or depende sa number of passengers. What I would do is abang ako when online check-in opens then magselect ng seats since usually free na yung seats kapag open na yung online check-in (usually 48hrs before flight nagoopen pero depende sa airline). if hindi kaya, you can try to ask the check-in counter sa mismong flight nyo :)

but if you paid for the seat, you should be able to select seats kahit di pa open online check-in. I would try to reach out customer service kung nagbayad ka sa seat tapos iniba nila tapos hindi mo mabago without paying.

Thank you po!

Based sa PDOS-related posts I've read here, you can either try to contact the CFO officer to reschedule (not sure if they allow this if nag-lapse na schedule mo) or register again. Based on https://pinoyau.info/discussion/comment/396023/#Comment_396023, they don't allow you to use the same email twice. Hope this helps!

I already lodged my nsw 190 visa application and already waiting for advise for medical and etc. I know this might sound too early but I was wondering if hopefully my visa will be granted, is it okay that my first point of entry will be in Melbourne? My cousins that are already living there offered if I could stay for a month in Melbourne before finally settling in NSW so that I could have an adjustment period as I am the only one to migrate in NSW? Would this be possible? Thank you very much sa makakapagsagot. <3

Hello!

Pag direct kasi via PAL, napakamahal.
In addition, mas magiging cheap kapag magbbook ako separate flight MNL-SG then SG- Perth. Wala bang magiging issues sa Immig naten to? Or sa Aus? Di kaya magrraise ng issues to?

Exactly 1 month after kami dumating.
These are the things that we did after we've arrived:

    1. Getting a Sim Card
    • Initially bought Optus $2 sim and $30 promo
    • We moved to Coles Optus just yesterday for $2 sim and $20 promo mas mura kasi hehe
    1. Opening a bank account
    • Commbank - registered offshore days before our arrival
    • Requirements are Passport and Visa
    • They will issue a paper regarding your account details (use this for getting a photoID)
    • We were able to deposit over the counter even if wala pa card.
    • Our cards arrived after 2 weeks.
    1. Tax File Number
    • registered online (https://www.ato.gov.au/iar/#beforeStart) saw this link here in pinoyau.
    • Received our TFN 1 week after, via post/mail.
    • Updated the TFN in the commbank app after receiving the TFN
    1. Medicare
    1. PhotoID - went to NSW Service
    • Requirements are Bank Acct Details, Passport, and Visa
    • I got the 10year validity ID which is $102 kasi di ako marunong magdrive at wala pa balak magdrive haha
    • The 5 year validity is cheaper, not sure on how much this is
    1. Gala gala muna, we were able to buy coats/puffer at Costco (yun yung mejo afford na nakita namin pero mahal parin omaygad)
I applied as secretary/admin staff sa mga construction firms. You can still apply sa want nyo na job naman.
    1. Got a job
    • Pero looking for a job parin si spouse but atleast may pang gastos na kami
    • The company hr online form recommended the Super company/bank
    • The only requirement they asked from me was my bank account details and TFN
    • No police check required (unlike pinas na need ang NBI), good thing we didn't get one.

    Tips:
    • Bring lotion, lip balm, and petroleum jelly. Our skin dried and had rashes in the first 2 weeks.
    • The temperature went down to -2 during our 1st week HAHA BRING ALL YOUR THICK CLOTHES.

Things na di pa namin nagagawa:
    Centrelink
    Makakita ng snow

Here are some photos of our gala-gala,

    Bondi Beach

    Blue Mountains

    Mount Annan Botanical Park

    Vivid Sydney - Opera House

    Barangaroo at the Ferry
(This last photo had my eyes teary, Tears of Joy and Sarap ng Pinaghirapan)

See you guys in Oz ♥

Nakakaexcite and at the same time nakakakaba pag dumating na yung visa grant.

Manage mo lang burn rate mo and do due diligence even before reaching AU.
    1. Prepare cv
    2. Submit to agents and Hh ahead complete with cover letters
    3. Reach out to employers etc. - in short apply tipong 1 month ahead of your arrival.
    4. Save up for this period and say 3-6mos before ka magtake ng odd jobs. Alam mo yun. Para mentally conditioned ka without sacrificing time for what matters most - get the job and focusing on surviving.

Thanks for the tips! Ideal talaga na pagpunta ng AU may naghihintay na work pero of course, di din talaga sya realistic.

Swerte, i hope subsidized or free ang housing. Ang malakas sa COLA (cost of lviing allowance) is yung housing.

i received today the dreaded "No" feedback from this job that i was applying for.

Nakakafrustrate noh? yung last stage na tapos No pala. Related ba sa pagiging offshore mo yung reason why?

i received today the dreaded "No" feedback from this job that i was applying for.

    hays. :(

on to the next "apply" button, indeed.

Nakakafrustrate noh? yung last stage na tapos No pala. Related ba sa pagiging offshore mo yung reason why?

Hindi naman. Kasi fully remote yung company. Dalawa daw kame umabot ng final stage. Yung isa taga UK. E since most of the team nasa US or EU, pinili nila yung mas malapit ang time zone sa kanila. Yun yung naging deciding factor daw. Lol.

    Hello, good morning po!
Ask ko lang po how do you prepare for your BIG move in terms of financials? Like how many months buffer do you prepare before doing your BIG move (given there’s no assurance when you’ll get a job in AU)?

Any idea po how much ang monthly cost of living in NSW for a single person?

    Thank you!

    Hello everyone.

Yung napasukan kong work ngayon 60% dun same ng work ko sa Pinas pero yung other 40% eh talagang no first-hand experience pa ko dun.

Tip 3: Recruiters are NOT looking for a perfect candidate

    Additional Tip:

Umaattend ako ng events organized by Engineers Australia.

    Good luck mga kabayan!

Struggle talaga mghanap pero be honest relax lang at sympre make all the necessary preparations. Pati dn pag-attend ng events ng EA even ng local community. Need to do networking talaga malakas ang impact ng referral on most occassions.

Hello @xeanne928.
