Parang sa umpisa hindi pa. Unang alis mo need pa rin yata mag bayad. Someone, please confirm or correct me if I'm wrong.

Specifically, 2F and 2B3 generally apply to "balikbayans".

^ I've also heard mixed cases, parang may ibang 'di na nagbayad and ibang ni-require, so I'd just err on the side of caution and do as advised above. The price would depend sa seating class mo. For economy, P1,620 lang siya. More details here: https://tieza.gov.ph/travel-tax/ :) Have a safe flight next week!

Hi po! Based on firsst hand xp. Nag BM po ako last 20 April '23. First travel ko po to Au as PR SC189. Hiningi po passport and visa grant letter. I'm about to pay for travel tax sa TIEZA, pero ang binigay po sa kin is green slip which is tax exempt.

Hi bro personally I would say na case to case basis ito like anong status mo ;pagdating mo dito? may trabaho ka na ba pagdating dito or maghahanap pa lang? Or magrerent ka ba or matutuluyan ka dito pagdating mo. Budget mo lang the following: (Melbourne context) - rent- $480/week and the rest like food, travel, utilities like phone etc. ( if excluded sa bayad sa bahay)....if wala pang work then nmaybe be sure to bring money good for 3 to 6 months....IMHO and good luck

For me at least AUD$10k. mas malaki mas okay kasi need mo ng buffer just in case hindi ka agad makahanap ng work.

😓😓😓 thank you in advance sa reply. 😄

Hello Bro good luck sa BM nyo. Anyway doon sa concern mo, sa tingin ko wala namang issue nyan kasi on the first place issue naman ng LTO sa atin yang license mo kahit di pa siya nakacard. And check mo na lang kung ano ang patakaran ng state na pupuntahan nyo kasi from one state to the other, minsan magkakaiba ang mnga rules nila when it comes to driving using international license and just to cite a few of them below:

    Victoria:

Can I use Philippine driver's license in Victoria Australia?

If you're visiting Victoria for less than six months you can drive on your overseas driver licence provided it is valid and current. If you've been living or will be living in Victoria for six months or more you'll need to convert your overseas licence or permit to a Victorian licence.25 May 2023

    Western Australia:

Can I use my Philippine driver's license in Perth Australia?

A person can drive on an overseas licence upon arrival in WA. The overseas licence must be valid and carried while driving. If the overseas licence is a language other than English a translation of it into the English language must also be carried.

    New South Wales:

Is Philippine driver's license valid in NSW Australia?

Introduction. If you're a resident of Australia rather than a visitor, you're able to drive in NSW on an overseas licence for 3 months. Within this 3 month period however, you'll need to visit a service centre and transfer your overseas licence to a NSW driver licence.22 May 2023

Then other remaining states also have their own respective critiria for driving and better check it out with the state itself. Hope that helps and good luck and prayers for your OZ life.

Matagal pa ako sa big move, but for the past few days, I just spiraled into google and youtube so here I am. hahaha

According to a lot of the "forefathers" (mga nauna na haha).. airbnb muna like 1 week to 1 month while looking for an apartment. I just looked up Airbnb and hotel prices. myghad so ganito ba ginawa ninyo mga 50KPhp na budget for 10 days? Wala pa food and transpo? haha! Since may rental crisis, what if hindi makahanap ng apartment in 1 week? And if ma-approve naman sa apartment, does it take long from application hangang sa makuha ninyo yung keys? Any insight/experiences is much appreciate. THANKS!

That's right. Naka Airbnb ako ngayon. May mga booked inspections na ako for an apartment tapos pag natripan ko kaagad, apply kaagad, pero so far wala akong nattripan haha!

With Airbnb prices, you can always negotiate for a lower price. For example sa akin, nakabook ako ng Airbnb good for 2 weeks pero ang mahal sobra, 40k. Pero close to my flight date, biglang may lumitaw na mas mura, 20k lang 2 weeks din. So cinancel ko yun and pumunta ako sa mas mura haha!

I'll definitely update here kung paano yung magiging process and competition ng rental application. I heard very competitive pero I'm very confident naman na mabilis lang ako makakakuha kasi I'm PR na + above average yung salary ko (pasok sa weekly 30% threshold) + may guarantor + willing to make advance months' rent

Based from your example i.e. from initial Airbnb rate of 40k and going down 20k per 2 weeks, are both properties owned by a single entity? I was just wondering how did you negotiate for a lower Airbnb price if what you did was looked for a cheaper alternative that was available.

Just recently, a colleague of mine her family arrived here in NSW. Prior to their big move, they were able to get a rental property. So to save bit in accommodation, might be worth considering looking for a rental property prior to big move.

For rental application, usually you have to pay upfront costs like rental bond (not more than 4weeks rent). The full bond amount will be returned to you if there will be no deductions due to penalties or damages in the property. Another upfront cost is rent advance (landlord can request up to 2weeks rent).

When trying to apply, try to include a cover letter just explaining briefly why you chose the property and your current situation (that you have migrated from off-shore bla bla bla). You can also offer to increase the rental price just to get above the rest of the applicants. Only initiate a bigger offer if you know that there are a lot of applicants for the property you like.

Please note the the above considers rental application through property agents. Renting directly from landlords will be slightly different.

    Hi all,

Granted na po kami sa 189 Visa (me and my husband) last 12 April.

We are planning to stay in Europe for a maximum of 2 years. Lipad po kami this end of May to Europe. For the 1st entry sa Aus, kelangan namin pumasok within a year.

    1. May kelangan pa po ba kami dalin sa airport aside sa letter from Immi? Or may kelangan po ba kmai gawin dun sa Immiaccount?
    2. May kelangan po ba kami na inotify regarding sa pagmove namin to Europe for 2 years? Like change of address and work situations?

    Salamat po! :)

Hello @reinrein2022 .

    • Valid passport (at least 6 mos validity)
    • IMMI grant letter
    • PH departure card
    • Plane ticket and boarding pass

    Additional document na pinakita ko:

    • VEVO visa check details (printed copy)

Hello! Ano po yung PH Departure Card?

Hello @mariusinbrisbane sorry late reply.

Actually when it comes to the difference in the Airbnb, wala. Same sila na shared room sa isang apartment, same amenities. Siguro one thing that you can do to negotiate the price further down is to say na you'll be staying there for a long time. Ask the owner if they can give you a discount for a long stay.

Actually, I have no experience with negotiating prices with Airbnb. Most of the time, when getting Airbnb accommodation, I would just search for the best affordable price.

But anyway, you are right, I checked online and negotiating price of Airbnb accommodation is possible by directly contacting the host.

    Just to share my experience.

Hinanapan kame ng OEC at PDOS/CFO. Actually may list yung immigration officer na napilahan namin. Pinakita nya yung list.
