Tia.
Ako po directly hired po via Seek. Nagapply ako offshore and currently holding visa 400 with 6 mos validity. By the end of the year or early January before my visa expires, balak po ako i-sponsor ng employer ko ng ens 186 de.
hi sven. ano po industry and san po na state? is it regional po ba?
I can say na maganda po yung area.

I just submitted applications through Seek and Indeed. I was also offshore when I was doing this. I had no visa whatsoever when I applied. Just 4 years experience in my bag. I tailored my CV and cover letter the best I can. Within 2-3 weeks of constantly sending applications through these jobsites, I got interview offers from 2 companies, one is the current company I'm working for. I also replied to the other company, however, they wanted me to interview personally, which I said I can't since I'm offshore. After that they didn't reply to me anymore. I think to some extent I'm really lucky. Tinanong ko boss ko bat sya nagresort to hiring a migrant, he said na he was having a hard time finding someone na swak sa qualifications and experience na hinahanap niya for the work the employee is expected to do. Another thing na tinanong ko sa kanya is anong preference nya sa pagpili ng employee. Ang sabi niya sakin pag nagsscan siya ng mga CV at nakita niya na ang phone number ay overseas number, he usually skips it already. So he prefers who's actually here already in Aus, which for many employers is the cost-effective thing to do. I know medyo counter intuitive na hinire niya ako since nasa pinas ako nun, but I guess that time he gambled and was desperately needing someone to work for him. I guess it worked for us both. Another thing that I think is very important is networking. Through me, he was able to hire 2 other Filipinos, one is working from home in PH (admin work) and another working casually as a specialist (w/ 482 dependant visa). He's also planning to hire another one through my recommendation which he still is holding off for the moment. He originally offered me 186 visa sponsorship, but we opted to go for 400 instead with the help of another Filipino who's working part-time for him and knowing 186 will take months before it gets granted. Now, I'm already in BVA and just hoping in few months time I get my 186 granted as well. Good luck po in your job hunting! I think marami pong opportunities satin as Chemists here in Aus. Just don't lose hope and patience in finding one.
While I haven't been through the assessment process for a Chemist myself, I've seen plenty of discussions here about it. Make sure your documentation is thorough, highlight your relevant experience, and consider reaching out to others who have gone through it for advice. Additionally, reaching out to others who have undergone a similar process or seeking guidance from professional organisations in your field can provide valuable insights and support.

Only 189 and 491 (family sponsored) are subject to priority points. Thus doesn’t apply to 190
