hello everyone, the photos i posted show my current scores from mock tests using apeuni, along with my real exam score. unfortunately, i didn’t reach my desired score of 65 overall and in each band. i’m practicing every day now, but i just want some validation because there are times when i feel like giving up :(

after not getting my desired score, i enrolled in PTE Magic and took their essential course for 2 weeks. i’m currently using their templates for DI, RL, and SWT. for the writing essay section, i’m using the jimmyssem template since that’s the one i’ve really mastered. (so far naboost naman score ko sa speaking gamit tips and tricks nila during mock test compare sa dati)

during my first attempt, i used jimmyssem templates po for DI and RL but my trainers said it sounded like listing . they told me that the score relied on fluency and pronunciation to avoid sounding like a list. however, i don’t want to rely on jimmyssem anymore since my speaking score was only 56.

i’d like to ask if it’s possible to score 70+ in the real exam, like i’ve been getting in my mock tests with apeuni? my last real exam was in july, and since then, i’ve been practicing a lot, especially on the speaking and listening sections because those were my lowest scores. my reading and writing were barely passing as well.

i’m looking for any comments or suggestions and also some motivation po since the pte exam is expensive.![]!

    current scores from apeuni []

    real exam score [july 2024]

Base on experienced, mas smooth yung keyboard nila.

    2. According to the speaker....
    3. He also talked about....
    4. From the lecture, I can hear...
    5. The lecture is very informative....

    Essay: Jimmysseem Template

    2. Firstly, much emphasis was placed on...
    3. Secondly, significance was focused on...

Hello! I'm happy to share that I passed and even scored higher than I expected. I also want to thank everyone here on PinoyAU! We all have different levels in English; I, too, was told that you could just study using YouTube or self-review. But as I said, everyone learns differently. Personally, I suggest going to a review center because it’s hard when your sources are all mixed up. But of course, go with what you're most comfortable with. Just keep practicing—I went through almost 5,000+ practice items and made a study plan. Practice will never let you down!

I finally got the chance to retake the exam, pero hindi parin superior. Sobrang na distract ako dahil they allowed late comers. Nasa ASQ na ako kakapasok pa lang nila then sobrang ingay, yung isa sinisipon at nagssneeze. Sa may HIW section ako nadali sa reading dahil sobrang ingay that time at nasa speaking pa yung ibang late comers. Sobrang na out of focus ako, finished and left the exam room na sobrang devastated ako.

    Jimmyssem templates parin ginamit ko.

hello, pa share nmn po ng strategy n ginamit nyo in each topic. pls.

    Sa speaking, practice lang talaga.
RA - Read clearly, not too fast and not too slow, natural speaking voice mo lang. Pronounce the 's' and 'ed' pag meron
RS - Try to speak 60 to 80% if di mo kaya ibuo, make sure tuloy tuloy lang pagsasalita mo, dont stutter or pause kahit mali mabangit mong word.

DI and RL - Jimmyssem templates

    Writing
    SWT - Since, sentence1, sentence2, and/but sentence3.
    WE -Jimmyssem

Reading - understanding lang ng mga questions, not sure what I am missing here pero I am quite confident but still low and score ko.

    Listening -practice lang
WFD - you can write extra words pag di ka sure kung di ka sure like 'work' 'works', write them both

Not familiar with the english tests and scoring sa Duolingo. I tried both IELTS and PTE and it depends kung pano mo idefine ang “madali”. Yung IELTS kasi for me, madali sya in a sense na isang test lang. Ang mangyayari lang is magkakaroon kayo ng face to face discussion about any random topic with the examiner. When I did it, yung examiner was a white british old guy…medyo nakakaintimidate and nakakaba lang kasi british accent and all and if mamental block ka at wala kang masabi - affected ang score mo. But ang topic lang namin nun was tungkol sa “cellphone”. In 10 -15 minutes or even maybe less, tapos na ang speaking test.

Yung PTE naman marami eh, and you can find it detailed here https://www.pearsonpte.com/pte-academic/test-format/speaking-writing and marami ding sample tests online so you can gauge if madali ba yun for you or not.

hello everyone, the photos i posted show my current scores from mock tests using apeuni, along with my real exam score. unfortunately, i didn’t reach my desired score of 65 overall and in each band. i’m practicing every day now, but i just want some validation because there are times when i feel like giving up :(

after not getting my desired score, i enrolled in PTE Magic and took their essential course for 2 weeks. i’m currently using their templates for DI, RL, and SWT. for the writing essay section, i’m using the jimmyssem template since that’s the one i’ve really mastered. (so far naboost naman score ko sa speaking gamit tips and tricks nila during mock test compare sa dati)

during my first attempt, i used jimmyssem templates po for DI and RL but my trainers said it sounded like listing . they told me that the score relied on fluency and pronunciation to avoid sounding like a list. however, i don’t want to rely on jimmyssem anymore since my speaking score was only 56.

i’d like to ask if it’s possible to score 70+ in the real exam, like i’ve been getting in my mock tests with apeuni? my last real exam was in july, and since then, i’ve been practicing a lot, especially on the speaking and listening sections because those were my lowest scores. my reading and writing were barely passing as well.

i’m looking for any comments or suggestions and also some motivation po since the pte exam is expensive.![]!

    real exam score [july 2024]

Not sure lang kung worth it. I got 71 overall sa una kong take and I need 79 on each. Mababa ako sa speaking and listening. Probably because of RS. Thanks!

Hello! I’m planning to take the exam next month or early next year January. Do you have any tips or templates to help me improve from Proficient to Superior? TIA po.

Hello! Has anyone taken the exam from November 4, 2024, onwards? How were the "Describe Image" and "Retell Lecture" sections? Are templates still effective for these tasks? I’d really appreciate any tips regarding the recent changes, as I’m planning to take the exam in the first week of December. Thank you!
