During my first 3 years here in SG i find it a perfect place and better than any other places. Pero naging boring narin in a long run. So looking forward for new environment.
There is little incentive na rin na maging PR sa Singapore as they have stripped away the many benefits for PR's - gone are the days na almost parehas ang benefits ng PR and citizen when it comes to school, hospital, etc...

Cguro, ang parehas na benefits lang is the CPF contribution! :)

@doubleDuzi ... Im from singapore..and time has come that its not about money anymore... we are looking for a true meaning of life .... Singapore is too perfect that evrything is very convenient, that we become so complacent, become irritated so easily if things are so slow and out of our comfort...Life is a balance of good and bad ( bad is the one that you have enumerated)... thats where u will appreciate the true meaning of life. I believe you are enjoying you life in Australia or u still have plans to move to some other country?

Hahaha. I felt the same sometimes. Its like parang masyadong pampered and predictable ang buhay sa sg, though residency and job security ang main reasons ko. Yung matagal na sa SG will understand this. Too much convinience in life sometimes boring na din. Kaya nga mas masaya sa pinas. you will never know what will happen tomorrow and plaging may new adventures and the feeling of being at home palagi. Pero syempre still too young, trying to find and look for greener pastures, new environment, new life and new adventures.

For us, we know 100% kung ano ang decision na gnawa namin.. and thanks for enumerating those cons... and appreciate if you can add more so we can prepare ourselves... :)

Honestly, hindi ko rin alam bakit Australia. I've travelled quite a bit pero never pumasok sa isip ko ang Australia. Wala sa bucket list ko. I remember when I was working in Kuala Lumpur, some friends started their journey to AU. Nagstart sila magprocess ng papers. Back then, ayaw ko kasi masaya ako sa buhay ko sa Kuala Lumpur. Lahat sila nag-move na sa AU.

Opportunity came to work here in Bangkok. I'd say na I made the right decision to move here. Career wise walang growth pero I am having the best time of my life here. Then late last year, one of my good friends convinced me to give it a try. There's no harm in trying naman.

less than 3 months from now I will be moving to Melbourne. No secured job, no definite plans, and I don't have deep pockets either. My life, my future, everything is in my backpack. Most of my friends asked me if leaving Thailand is a wise decision, knowing I am having a blast here. Sagot ko lang, I will never know the answer unless I try it.

Regardless of reasons, good or bad. I've decided to give it a shot. I'll try my luck and take quite a risky leap 'coz I know my thirst for adventure will never be quenched.

~ Where do you think he went!??!! A walk in the woods!???!!?!?

@doubleDuzi ..i always believe in the Guidance of the Almighty and of course perseverance. May mga factors din kasi if you migrated earlier like early 30's or lates 20's at wala pang pamilya at wala pang masyadong napundar sa pilipinas...and most especially your skills. You should be thankful to your dad .... He did the sacrifice for your family. We wanted to be like your dad as well and our chilren to be like you. Blessed to have a parents to sacrifice for the future of their children. Maybe you will also feel the same way if you will be having family soon.

You may want to read this...interesting article.

    http://www.bobinoz.com/blog/13206/australia-lucky-country-or-expensive-country/
Article makes sense.

Ang point ko po eh sa Australia you get the most with the least effort at siguradong aalagaan at di ka pababayaan ng gobyerno at yung tax mo eh me napupuntahan. Libre health care, maganda retirement benefits, nasusunod ang batas, me hustisya etc.

Because I've been working for an Australian Bank for the last 4 years and have found out that working with Aussies was more relaxing and laidback vs. working with Americans.

Also, in the event of a worldwide zombie outbreak, Australia is very safe as long as it protects its border from maritime entry. Nagspread na ang zombie virus sa lahat ng North American and European country, sa Australia, life is still as we know it. hehehehe.

Oh, and the good mix of beaches, mountains, urban life, roller coasters, waterparks, etc.

Habang bata life is an adventure and is not about playing safe. You have lots of time to play safe when you grow old :D

Habang bata life is an adventure and is not about playing safe. You have lots of time to play safe when you grow old :D

Imagine nyo 30 years from now malamang eh parang Somalia o Bangladesh na sa atin.

Hish risk, High return :) Yan na lang isipin natin @Khaosan_Road :)
Dami need i-sacrifice and i-give up towards a brighter future :)
