I chose Australia para hindi ganon kalayo sa parents and grandparents ko in case may mga emergencies. Kasi po may relatives kami na nasa US then if nagkakaemergency, ang hirap makauwi. At magisa ako first time ko po on my own to migrate permanently, 26 years old palang po ako ngayon.

And rinig ko po mas mataas ang sahod ng IT sa Australia compared sa Canada?

Currently lodged my 189 visa and hoping to receive my grant soon po :)

While applying po in Australia, may nameet ako sa OZ na boyfriend ko na ngayon, mas lalong hindi magmamake sense na sa Canada ako lumipat or USA. bonus lang na may lovelife na nahanap while on my PR journey :)

I still pursued to apply independently for my PR ng hindi umaasa sa boyfriend na Australian to sponsor me for a partner visa.

    agree all the best

God bless Captain! Sang state po kayo?

Buhayin ko lang ulit yung thread...meron ba recently considering mag apply for Canada while waiting for ITA ng Australia? Napapaisip lang ako sa options in case di mag work out ang application namin for AU.

We did! We checked our points and mukhang kulang din. Plus we needed to go for another assessment and PTE is not accepted so need pa mag english test ulit. So we opt for 491 Family Sponsored instead. Kahit di PR push lang.

I cannot say so much for Canada kasi hindi ko naaral, ang ginawa ko lang is overview, check points and anu mga need.

US, or other European country?

Us and European countries wala.

So from that, 3 lang choices ko. Una kong in-applyan talaga Canada kaya lang mukang mas mahirap kesa sa AU so I'm taking my chances sa AU. Ongoing ang Canada and AU ko pero based sa trend mukang no chance na sa Canada. NZ wala ring chance since heavily leaning sa Job Offer ung points which is very hard to get.

I had a job offer from US last December pero pumutok naman tong Covid, so wala na.

I also have an ongoing application to Canada. Makukuha ko siya thru Provincial Nomination (PNP) which is a separate application rin. Sa PNP, they highly favor applicants with relatives already living there, studied there (for 2 years ata), or with a job offer. Maraming pinoy na pasok sa first case since ganyan tayo eh. haha. So i say if you have one of those 3 conditions, it's worth a try na mag apply. Ako kasi wala ako niyan kaya walang chance ung application ko. haha.

Salamat sa feedback @barryco and @Linetdane

Question sir @barryco sa PNP mo, point-based system din ba sya?

After working in SG for 6yrs, I'm back in PH always thinking of the future. My question was not really "bakit AU"? But more of "bakit ako aalis ng Pinas?" considering I'm earning more than what I was earning sa SG. Honestly, I still have worries and hesitations kung "ano ba talaga ate?!" but I'm pretty sure kelangan kong magtry kesa magdusa sa "what ifs?" Hahahah I haven't invested much on properties sa Pinas dahil hindi ko pa mabuo buo yung picture na dito ko palalakihin ang anak ko.

I don't mind kung saang first world country ako dadalhin ng tadhana, basta safe and somehow secured ang future namin anak ko (cempre malaking factor jan yung pagpupursigi ko), and stable ang govt and economy for whatever crisis ang dumating. Case in point, Covid.

Same with @barryco , my options were Canada, Australia, and NZ with preference sa ANZ dahil relatively mas malapit sa Pinas just in case my urgent matters esp with my old folks. I also tried googling other countries with great benefits and educ system like Finland, Denmark, Norway, pero hirap makapasok.

I made a checklist kung ano ang gusto at ayaw ko sa isang place kung san kami mag start ng new life and AU made it perfectly fitting sa lifestyle and dream ko. Looking at how AU handled the covid situation, mas nagseseal off yung decision ko pursue this plan. Sana lang maging positive tong journey na to. :)

Yun lang po. Salamat. Bow. ;)

I only have ongoing application sa 2 provinces na eligible ako.

Kung professional occupation ang nominated, they will only assess your degree and not your work experience. I got my degree fully recognized naman. Ang hassle lang the original documents need to come directly from your university or sealed original if you send it by yourself. By mail.

Also worth noting, one assessing authority can assess any degree unlike sa AU na iba iba depende kung engineer ka, IT, health professional, or architect, etc.

Yung work experience assessment will come after the ITA for visa mismo which is medyo similar na ata sa AU process, strict rin pero visa officers lang ang mag aassess and not a third party organization (iba yata sa trades). Pero wala pa ko sa stage na yan kaya i can't really say much about it.

Malaking tulong yung mga na share mo. Maraming salamat po!
