Hi! Accounting graduate lang ako with more than 10 years working experiences (Accounting related).

    Thanks!
You don't need to be a CPA to get a favourable skills assessment with CPAA...

Having said that, it is bet to start your application now rather than later. No one knows what will happen by July 2014; I have a feeling that they will now push for the abolition of accountants as one of the needed skilled migrant here in australia. As of the moment, mejo mahirap talaga makakuha ng trabaho mga accountants dito.

    All the best!

hi po, tanong lang regarding reason/purpose for coe. is it acceptable ba by cpaa to put in the coe "educational assessment"?. my current employer will not issue generic coe. the reason must be specific. Thank you.

they won't care about whatever purpose your COE is for... so educational assessment purpose is very much acceptable; besides if you think about it, the content of your COE does not change naman diba?

Another question. Maybe this has been questioned before by me or from the other members. Is it acceptable by cpaa if the syllabus has only been certified by the registrar at the last page of each subject? Hoping somebody can clarify this issue. Thank you.

Just got a certified true copy of my syllabus from my alma mater a while ago. Signed by college chairperson and with dry seal. Hehe

Tapos na din mag pdos last Tuesday. Almost done na. Mas magiging malinaw na ung plan namin ng family ko to move starting second half of this year. Konting patience nalang. Goodluck sa atin mga Accountants :)

Hi guys! Kakatapos lng ng ielts exam kanina. Im hoping mataas kasi sa june 1 pa ko mg.3 yrs sa job ko so bale kung mataas result, i won't have to claim points sa work xp.

Tama ba yun? Just so i can get a favorable assessment?

Hi again. Quick question lang po. ICAA assessed my qualification as Associate Degree and this was when I submitted a Standard Assessment only. Would it be possible to try the other assessing bodies like CPAA or IPA (Migration Assessment) and will there be a chance to get a suitable result? :) thanksin advance po.

Pwedeng pwede but as to the 100% possibility of getting your desired result, no assurance...

I am just curious what sort of suitable result are you looking for? Positive skills assessment? Bachelor's Degree assessment of academic qualification in order to get 5 more points than that of Associate?

@TasBurrfoot , thanks for your reply. Yeah, sorry medyo ang gulo ko po. Siguro naging impatient lang ako last year at hindi muna nag-focus sa IELTS. Kaya I tried yung Standard Assessment for CA Program which is not for migration purposes. Sabi sa letter, may qualification is only equivalent to Associate Degree so they advised me to take Bachelor Degree or Masters first. Nag-conclude na tuloy ako na I have to take the Student visa first then after finishing the 2-yr course, saka na mag-apply ng PR. Mas gusto ko po talaga is PR na.. maybe I should go back to step one, IELTS. Then step two, Skills Migration Assessment application either from CPAA or IPA. :)

How long ang assessment ng ICAA sa documents mo? Bakit associate degree lang? Anong skul mo and CPA ka ba? Yup, you can try other Accounting organisations (CPAA/ICAA). You need to check muna bakit associate degree lang binigay sayo. and yes, get ielts academic.I also submitted documents sa ICAA yesterday pero standard assessment lang din sya.

@vhoythoy I remember I sent my docs via Singpost registered mail last 12Nov so ICAA received it after one week pa. Result letter was dated 9Dec but I received it last 20Dec. Santa Isabel College ang school ko po and Im not a CPA.

I see. Lets wait for others reply who already got assessment results from CPAA/IPAA. Sa vetassess kasi ako nagsubmit eh =). I have got a visa already, but i submitted a standard assessment to ICAA because i plan to pursue the CA qualification. Last saturday lang via Speed Post. I've submitted same with ICA Ontario last year, and it took them like 4 months to come back. The results was favorable but i cant pursue it as i can only take the exams in Canada and right now my focus is already in Australia.

Nope. Started in accounting then external audit.

hi po! did they affix the signature only in the last page? that's why you have it certified by a notary public? thanks.

Only sa first page, stamp lang then nagsign ung chairperson. Sa last page nga mga walang signatures haha. Bago na daw kasi curriculum, more than 10 years na kasi ung sa akin. Pero tinago ko nalang just in case kailanganin.

more than 10years na din po yong sa akin. And only the last page of the syllabus has the dry seal and signature of the registrar. I'll just have it notarized by a notary public to be sure. But, does it really have to be on every page po? salamat.
